Lovely food, lovely service and lovely friendly owner.
Très bel accueil avec mousseux offert pour célébrer anniversaire d’une amie. Nourriture excellente sauf pour le demi-canard, dont le goût était excellent mais la viande coriace. Belle soirée malgré cela
The place is light and bright and has a pleasant atmosphere, though the tables are simply too small for 4 people’s glassware, plates etc. to fit comfortably. The food, however, was excellent, especially the escargots and the fresh from the oven plum tart. Service was friendly but very slow.
Food was well prepared and delicious.
The food was quite remarkable! Unfortunately the air conditioning was so cold you could hang beef! Then, someone must have complained and it became uncomfortably hot. It’s a tiny store front place with nothing on the walls or floor to absorb sound. So very noisy. But I’ll probably go back for the food (with sweater and headphones)!
This was our first visit on a slow night. The owner chef served us as though we were guests in her home. Three of us had a three course dinner, two fish and one beef. The potatoes that are served with each entree were the best I h had. The trio of desserts was light and delicious. The special starter of poached pears, goat cheese with Basalmic reduction and side salad were wonderful. The owner suggested an off the list Bordeaux was fairly priced and perfect with our meals. Out the door with tip under $200. We will be back!
We were a bit disappointed in the atmosphere. It was nothing like we expected. They were out of our favorites by the time we were seated ( by 7pm, yikes!). The chef was lovely, and did stop by our table. By the time my dinner arrived half of it was cold. The trout had a lot of bones. The steak was fair at best. We will not return.
Excellente table et typiquement français
This spot is all about the experience and the ambiance. To start it is small but quant. You will wait longer than expected but be patient it's France for the night and it's worth it. Brie appetizer had berries with zero sweetness and was not enjoyed by 3 of us at the table. Dinner was lamb chops, trout almondine and scallops. My Father has had lamb chops at many fine restaurants.. he said it was a generous portion, great sauce and he loved it. Mom loved her trout but I'll admit she's not a foodie. Im picky and loved the scallops. Can't wait to go back to have them again. We all enjoyed the sides as well. Mini trio dessert was perfection and plenty to share. Dinner was not inexpensive but also not pricey for the quality and quantity. Worth every penny! I completely forgive the appitezer. Had to give 5 stars because it's the first meal in a while that I truly appreciated every bite / flavor and I dine out several times a week. Thank you for a wonderful evening out with my fabulous parents. Was a treat!
Very nice and located away from the heavier congestion of tourists on Commercial Blvd.
Wait staff was very pleasant and attentive. I had scallops which were cooked just right. It came with a side of potatoes and veggies that seemed to be cooked well in advance and cut from a sheet pan, but they were tasty nonetheless. For desert I had a delicious pistachio and rum cake.
I would go back again.
Food is fabulous. Service was a bit slow but perfect for French restaurant. Gives you time to saveor.
Excellent food prepared to order, here you to dine, not eat. Limited seating so reservations a must.
It is best summed up as an ordeal.
We were seated at 7:15 and were about to get up and leave when someone finally took our orders at 7:35. Our starters finally appeared at 8:05. Mains were served at 8:35. A very nice bottle of Beaujolais was served much too warm. And my trout almandine was cold.
The problem is clearly that the staff is over-extended. Only 2 servers struggling to keep up with the demand. There is zero “ambiance.” Because the inside restaurant is such a tiny space they use the smallest tables I have ever seen. It was quite a balancing act to get everything to fit on the table....plates, silverware, glasses, wine, bread.
A very uncomfortable place to sit with frustrating service. Certainly not a “dining” experience.
It’s a shame because the manager was such a very nice woman and the food is better than average. Prices are extremely reasonable.
But you shouldn’t feel so stressed out and disappointed after a meal.
Need more waiters especially on Saturday nite Food was great but owner was doing everything!
This intimate classic French Bistro is a nice change from the usual in South Florida. Food was quite good and well-prepared, but quite traditional. Not a place for those seeking nouvelle cuisine or anything adventurous. Limited wine list, but certainly enough choices for any but the most discriminating. We shared a 1st course of poached pear with goat cheese over greens; each had Snapper sauteed in a traditional white cream sauce (comes with potatoes au gratin and another vegetable); and shared a small trio of desserts that were wonderful. Had a bottle of Chilean Sauvignon Blanc that complemented the meal very well, but at $30 it was a triple mark-up from retail. We enjoyed the meal, but the combo of a cream-based sauce for the Snapper with the au gratin potatoes was not the best.
As always, quality of the entree's brings us back. The sauces and the onion soup are the best. We go there mostly on special occasions and are never disappointed.
I thought I was in Paris! Great food and service, we will return!
What a delight.. did my research before coming to For Lauderdale ...TOTALLY good!!!!!!
Delicious food and excellent customer service . You must go if you are into great food !!
Wonderful food, good size portions, excellent, friendly and amenable service!
On my annual trip to Ft. Lauderdale this is a MUST!
Wonderful meal, as always! The food is authentic French bistro food and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming.
Well prepared food in a charming small restaurant. A talented and energetic chef wants you to have a good experience. We did!
Great restaurant with authentic french cuisine. The owner is fully dedicated to make this place great and it shows. Prices relative to the quality you are getting are very good. One of the best restaurant in the Fort Lauderdale area. Highly recommended.
Still good, but slipping.
Good (but not the best) snapper in excellent beurre blanc sauce, surrounded by tasty vegetables. Delicious lemon tart, not too sweet. Sidewalk tables quite pleasant. Service very friendly, but inexperienced. Miss Edith's presence.
Great from start to finish. The freshest food expertly prepared. A very diverse menu with many traditional French dishes. You will not be disappointed.
Valentines Day Dinner. Made reservation thru OT and didn’t think to call restaurant to find out about specials. Only price-fixed $75.00 available. Small portions of good, not great food ran $200 for the two of us. They added a 20% gratuity without mentioning it. All in all, meh - not worth the price. Prefer Escargot further west on Commercial.
Our first time here . Everything was amazing . Can’t wait to go back
Absolutely superb. Mini-trio desert is to die for! Great food.
What can I say! Edith makes you feel like you are having a home cooked meal . She will cater to your dietary needs. The food is outstanding.
Very nice evening with fine French food, wine prices a bit expensive, but overall it was excellent. My wife had the Branzino fish and I had the Duck, both were cooked very nicely.
Service was excellent, very attentive. We had for dessert two different creme brulee which were delicious. For sure we'll be back.
Toujours un plaisir de venir dîner dans ce restaurant
Tout y est parfait
Great place to take your spouse or partner for a quiet dinner with a special french European touch, with a great variety of meals to chose from the menu and fine tasting wines along with very friendly service where you get to meet the chef in person.
Went to Frenchys for the first time tonight and what a great surprise it was to all 4 of us! Tiny little place with very few tables and incredible food and vibe. We all felt very relaxed and not rushed...much like in France where you don't have waiters rushing you to place your order and to get out in 30 minutes. We had scallops, snapper and grouper, all very nicely cooked and presented. Panna Cotta was great as well as the pistachio cake, creme brule and profiterole. Overall very impressed with the food, service and ambiance. We are definately going back! Thank you Ivy, your restaurant is lovely and your food is on point!
Outstanding food, charming decor and excellent service. Edith is a hands on owner and it shows. Every morsel of food was delicious from the appetizers, to dessert. Can't wait to return!!! This is truly a neighborhood gem.
What an incredible find!! From the friendly service to the impeccable homemade food, this place is worth a visit. Don't let the name fool you, this gem is owned by the chef, and she hails from France. The menu is true to French cuisine, and the portions are generous. Despite us not being local, we will be sure to make the trip south again just to dine at Frenchy's! Space is limited, so be sure and make a reservation!
Another very nice meal here. Service was a bit more measured this time and that was good. The prix fixe Christmas menu was a good value for the food, and the wine she chose for us was very nice. Looking forward to our next visit!
Bad everything service food and price. Place looked like a former bait shop made into a restraunt
Zero decorations small confined space with uncomfortable chairs
Wonderful meal and Edith is always there with a smile on her face.
Quite a “find”. We live in Pompano and we love French food but we did not know this place located less than 15 minutes from our home. Classic French food perfectly executed and the service, ambiance impeccable. We will be back and often.
Great first time experience. Fantastic food properly prepared. Wine list is limited but reasonable. Service was a little too quick and server took the wine and food order at the same time so it was a bit rushed. Wonderful evening.
