The star of our drink menu is definitely the wine, more than 30 references by the glass! But we also serve beers, ciders and cocktails crafted by our mixologists.

It started off with our drinks at the bar. I ordered a dirty martini and got straight vermouth. Our dinner reservations were for 8:45 (only outdoor seating available for reservations) and we were told at 9:15 that our reservation was canceled because of a storm coming - not a cloud in the sky. But there were empty tables inside and there was indoor dining. After fighting the manager about it, magically a table was found available. The snails were dry. The last straw was when we ordered fois gras and a thin piece of fried liver on bread came out. I have never walked out of a restaurant before but this one deserved it.
Definitely not what it used to be. They put us in a crappy table in the back at the bottom of a step. I felt like people are going to fall on top of me as they came into that area of the dining room. It was jampacked. It looked really run down compared to the last time I was there pre-Covid
Having had brunch there a couple of times, dinner at Frenchie's exceeded our expectations. The food was terrific and imaginative. Our server was friendly and very helpful with our food allergy questions. Outdoor seating was fine given the sidewalk setting.
Great cocktails and food
Each course was unique and very tasty
Great as always. Chicken is to die for, as is the Cab Franc. Lovely service. Frenchie never disappoints, and prices very reasonable. Love love it here.
Frenchie was a nice stop for dinner. Sound level tends to be high due to the hard wall surfaces but the food was good, service was not bad but could have been a little more attentive. I would go back if the opportunity arose.
Delicious food, great place for a date or a brunch with friends. If eating out with an infant or toddler, be aware that bathroom is narrow and there are no changing tables. The staff was really accommodating, though. The manager, Rebecca, offered me her desk. I really appreciated her kindness and willingness to make something work!
Great atmosphere. Decent drinks. Food left much to be desired, especially at the price-point. Staff was courteous and friendly, but perhaps new and still learning the ropes. Unfortunately, this was my third time dining here, and the experience has remained consistently mediocre to sub-par.
Great place with excellent service and fiod food!
Our waitress was awesome! Food and service was great - would recommend to anyone!
Last brunch in town with my daughter.
As always, the food was delicious. It was a little noisy for us inside, the staff was very accommodating to move us outside
Girls night out or romantic dinner. It’s all you need! I highly suggest and the brunch is UNREAL with great drinks.
Our server, Marco, was exceptional. He provided an outstanding dining experience.
We got brunch at Frenchie and expected way more. The eggs in the eggs benedict were over cooked and the mushroom crepe was not very tasty. The cheese platter was great though 😊 Everyone was very nice and friendly but the service was a bit slow.
Our waiter Andreais was awesome!
Just OK. Didn’t see that Sunday is Brunch day with limited menu. Duck hash was good; charcuterie was ridiculous…more mustard and fig jam than meat and cheese.
Amazing food, location, and service
Multiple times dining here. Always a good choice. Last night, we brought friends who live nearby and I am sure will come again
The eggs Benedict was amazing but the bread pudding left a lot to be desired
Such good food, the staff was really warm and welcoming. I will definitely be coming back!
Staff was so personable and engaging, from the time we entered the restaurant, while we sat at the bar, and then at the dinner table. Honestly, they made it the most enjoyable evening. Ambience and food is great, love the casual hip vibe.
Just as amazing as I remember it! We had an outstanding brunch. The eggs Benedict are the best, and nice to have a little Mamosa alongside it. Loved it. Great service by Vanessa and the whole staff.
Loved the good and the view of the courtyard. The good was amazing. Very French!
The food was amazing and so is the service!!!! They were so accommodating and friendly to my friends. We had some last-minute changes and they made them work. The food was awesome as well and overall atmosphere.
Great staff, delicious food, and the greenhouse seating in the back was so lovely. Will definitely be back!
Frenchie is not really frenchie. Overrated. Food was okay not so good but nice ambience.
Excellent service from start to finish, including speaking with them the day before to confirm the reservation and then assuring all will be ok even with rain likely getting rid of their outdoor seating for a bit. OH and they even called me to let me know I left something at the restaurant. All this plus the food / ambience was wonderful!
We had a reservation but our table wasn’t ready for 15 minutes. It’s so small that we were told to wait outside…it was raining. When we were seated, we waited 20 min and no one came to serve us. At that point I waved down a waiter to serve us. Clearly they didn’t even realize that there wasn’t a waiter assigned to us. The food was good and it’s a cute place but they need to get their service act together a bit.
Was seated 20min after reservation time so your open table reservation time is not really important to them. Got food 1 hour after reservation time. Service overall is meh. The food is the best part of this place as the food is actually really really good. Ambience is good too. Just do it on a day when you have nothing else important going on
Service was slacking but the food was very good. Our waitress was nice however took a very long time to come to our table. All the tables around us were served a basket of bread but that never came for us. Our reservation was for 7:15, seated on time and didn’t leave until after 9:30. A soda water cost $5, not sure if that’s the typical price in Boston. Our table ordered a bottle of wine from the menu then we were informed it wasn’t available but there was another red at a similar price point, actually a cheaper bottle. After getting the check the bottle of wine was $10 more than what we ordered. Not a huge deal but the server was misinformed. Overall a good meal but would hope the service would be better next time.
Always great food. Friendly staff. Charming ambiance. One of our favorite South End restaurants.
Great place for a nice dinner out. Highly recommend.
Manager and staff were great! We were a large group with kids and they were able to sit is all. Food was delicious!
Food was great, service good but the server seemed to not really understand what we were saying. Maybe a language barrier but we made it work. Overall a very small cozy trendy spot with good menu options.
Father’s Day gathering and it was so good to be dining
I just had a brunch on my wife’s birthday. Excellent food and service. We will be back for sure.
I've been going to Frenchie for several years and it's my favorite restaurant for any occasion! Whether you're celebrating or having a catch up with your friends, it's the perfect spot. The decor is beautiful and the food/drinks are even better. I can't recommend it enough.
We were there for a birthday - it was noted with our reservation and the staff did nothing to celebrate that. At the end of our reservation, it felt like they were pushing us out to leave even though they were not fully closed yet - there were a few other tables still seated indoors and outdoors. We did ask to be seated in the greenhouse which was cool but smaller than I imagined. The food was good but the service was fair. Don’t think I would come back to celebrate anything here
