Very personal service. Great wine selection. True French food experience. The bouillabaisse was amazing!
We are repeat customers and try to make sure we eat here every time we are in the area. The French Rotisserie Cafe is an authentic French restaurant with excellent food and great service. The prices are very reasonable and they have a nice selection of both French and domestic wines.
My family just moved here from the SF Bay Area in December, 2018 and tried this restaurant on Saturday, August 10, 2019 and was so happy. The Rotisserie chicken was outstanding, the chocolate mouse was off the charts and the owners could not be nicer. Our waitress was also outstanding and very friendly. Will definitely go back and would recommend it highly.
The quiche at FRC has the flakiest, lightest crust imaginable. The chicken sandwich is perfect; juicy, tasty pieces of chicken, tasty, crunchy coleslaw and crusty baguette - delicious. The service is just the right level of attentive, and friendly. An overall excellent combination of well prepared food and a wonderful staff.
You can't go wrong with the attention to service this place has, everyone is treated like royalty
Very charming place. The wine selection is great. Sea food was fresh and delicious. Very personal customer service.
I had the mussels and fries and was very disappointed in the mussels. They were fishy and the sauce was pretty tasteless. The salad was good only because they serve it with a block of brie which was good. If the food was better than the value would be commensurate with the cost. I've had lunch there and my soup and salad was very good. I would go back and give it another try.
We loved it! The owners were gracious and friendly, and most concerned with our positive dining experience. The French onion soup, creative salads, and salmon were excellent! We will be back soon, thanks!
Great French food—the best in the area!
This was the first visit during dinner, we had lunch there before and it was outstanding. During dinner however, the noise level was exceedingly loud, likely due to two large parties that were very loud. Food was very good as always, specially the Vol a Vent. Service was very good in spite of being very busy.
Loved this place. We came during the day during the off season for lunch and at the beginning were the only diners. It was a HOT day! Luis was so nice to us! Adjusted the playlist so we could hear just the music we wanted. The food was fantastic. I over ate but since I couldn't make up my mind I had the French Onion Soup and the Vol au Vent and both were incredibly delicious. My husband had the chicken and loved it. Perfectly cooked. His only comment about his lunch was that he expected the pommes frites that came with the chicken to be thin ... more like the French style. But that didn't keep him from eating them!
Excellent across the board. Great to have in the area.
third visit (party of 6) with 2 new invitees and I'm soooo happy we all had a grooooovy time! Food, ambience, owners and our server ZINA (spelling?) WONDERFUL! Thank You Marlene!
We love this restaurant. A meal there is an authentic French experience. Have been 3 times since discovering it and will be back many more times. The fixed price menu is a wonderful value.
Great Onion Soup. Small restaurant but very good and friendly service
Excellent service, excellent food. A place where you can converse with your guests. Nice environment, casual. Comfortable, neighborhood restaurant.
Great restaurant! The food and service was amazing! We will definitely go again next time we are in La Quinta! Have to try the quiche...yum!
Top-notch service, excellent food, and great (and greatly priced) wine. What’s not to love.
Made reservations on Open Table. Owner and his wife could not be more accommodating. A large party was finishing up, and they were a bit on the noisy side. Owners were very apologetic, but at least we knew that a crowded restaurant means good food. I had a nice pour of a glass of champagne to start. I ordered a ceasar salad (good), but the real star was the French onion soup that husband ordered. The absolute heartiest and richest broth I have ever tasted. My entrée was the duck, and I was expecting a sour note from the owners bc instead of potatoes, I requested additional vegetables. No problem. A medley of Brussel sprouts and different mushrooms were on that.plate. I know some exotic mushrooms were mixed in---not just the plain white button kind. The accompanying sauce on the duck was excellent as well---you could definitely taste the grand mariner (not heavy handed, but a definite hint). Husband had the short ribs. He is normally very picky and likes nothing, with everything just being "okay". Not in this case: he said they were excellent, and the sauce/demi-glace they came in was excellent. Of course we has to see the dessert menu. We ordered the chocolate something ---the Belgian housemade---not sweet or too sweet at all .with slightly sweet whipped cream. Delicious. We will be.back. Can't wait until they open in Palm.Desert!
Great place I feel like I’m in France , Fabian make sure that everyone is comfortable and ready to enjoying
Her little restaurant.
Our experience at the French Rotisserie Cafe was outstanding. We were greeted at the door and our reservation table was ready. A vase was provided for the birthday guest to put her flowers. The service was excellent and the food was so delicious. We had a dessert and everyone in the restaurant sang happy birthday to our guest. It was a superb evening! I highly recommend this restaurant!
Adorable small French cafe with intimate seating. Come early before the noise level rises. There is outdoor seating when the weather is cooperating. Classic French onion soup & chocolate mousse and the rotisserie chicken are a must!
Really enjoyed our lunch here during Restaurant Week! The heirloom tomato soup was amazing. Great service and friendly staff and owners. Will definitely go back!
What a fabulous evening. We celebrated our anniversary with friends who likewise were celebrating their anniversary.
The food was wonderful. The owners and staff are wonderful and made it a very special evening.
Can't wait to go back!
Small menu but everything we had we enjoyed
This is a lovely French bistro. The food was excellent and service wonderful. We’ll be back.
It’s great for a date as well.
What a little gem in La Quinta. The food is of the best quality as is everything else! The owners go out of their way to make your dining experience memorable. If you like French food you are going to love this restaurant.
Excellent service and excellent French cuisine. Have enjoyed both lunch and dinner at this intimate French restaurant and always look forward to a return. Luis and Fabienne have designed a restaurant that emanates the little sidewalk cafes in France.
We were visiting the desert and had an amazing meal. We enjoyed a restaurant week special menu. The food was delicious! This is a real gem!
This establishment is splendid in every sense of the word. Delightful service, personal attention, marvelous food, extremely reasonable food & beverage prices, and all with "an attitude to please" (and a feeling that diners are dear guests) all contribute to this restaurant being one of the most pleasant and delightful in the Coachella Valley. Amazing!
Restaurant week fun. First time diners but not the last. Cozy, intimate French bistro with gracious
and attentive owners, Fabian and Luis and courteous and diligent wait staff, Sina and Nick. French onion soup -thick and rich.Entrecote and pomme frites right on. Great evening. Will return.
I found this restaurant by its great Yelp reviews. It did not disappoint! We were there during Restaurant Week and the Cafe had a great menu lined up. We enjoyed the French Onion Soup, Caesar Salad, and Rotisserie Chicken served with mashed potatoes and perfectly cooked baby carrots. We sat on the patio because we had our small dog with us. The server quickly brought our dog ice water when we arrived and could not have been more friendly or accommodating. The owners were also seated on the patio enjoying time with their visiting son. They came over to welcome us and say hello, but it was nice to see that they were relaxing and enjoying some family time at their own place. If you are looking for a great meal served in a warm and relaxed environment you will love The French Rotisserie Cafe!
Great food and service! Owners checked in with us and enhanced our dining experience
Wonderful food, beautiful view of the mountains from the patio, great staff and owner. We had four different entrees and all were excellent. We will return.
The air was very very smoky outside so the woman owner graciously moved us in. A lovely experience.
A very comfortable and small bistro with a French touch. The food and service has been outstanding on several occasions. The portions are not huge but they are adequate and very tasty. I really like the Duck, but I had Sea Bass the last time and it was flakey and delicate (it may have had a little butter on it too!). Mushrooms in pastry (Vol Au Vent) as a starter. Mmmm.
Great food & service my boyfriend had the duck and was still talking about it two days later! I had the tomato soup which was also amazing! Not a lot of vegetarian options but then again I didn’t ask so they may have been able to accommodate. Will definitely be back!!
Great owners and team.
Consistently supers food.
This was an amazing treat! We’re so excited to have a wonderful new French restaurant in La Quinta! The duck was absolutely incredible and better than any duck we’ve had in a while. The hospitality was probably the best we’ve ever seen...the owners are there and personally engage with everyone in the room! We felt like we were actually in a restaurant in France! Delicious bread , great wine, and tarte tatin for dessert! We’re definitely coming back . Hospitality and Food were A++++. Thank you!
Amazing neighborhood find with mouth watering cuisine!
