Love this place! Love sitting outside, listening to a little French music and enjoying the great wine and food. Perfect for romantic dinner, brunch or just some wine and charcuterie platter with a friend.
We loved everything about this charming restaurant! The onion soup, boeuf bourguignon, and steak frites were delicious. We will definitely dine there often!
We were visiting the area & picked this restaurant from an online search & reading reviews. We were not disappointed!! Absolutely lovely ambiance. Small white lights & candles everywhere causing the intimate setting. Each reserved table had a name card & time expected. The owner made his way to each table asking how our experience was so far - short enough not to be bothersome yet long enough that we felt important. The food was beyond incredible!! We were celebrating our 50th anniversary & both agreed that we chose wisely!!
Expected really good French food...received meager Bouibiasse--only a few pieces of fish and a few shrimp-- and luke warm mussels with a scrap of heavy thick sauce in the bottom of the bowl. There was no grilled bread for whatever sauce existed. Thought the pomme frites were from the potato vendor and coated with the stuff that when fried gave the impression of crispness. I love both dishes when done well...not here!...
Will not be back.
So sorry you had such a poor experience. We would love the opportunity to make it up to you. If you ever wish to come by please call and ask for Fabienne or Luis.
The staff could not have been nicer or more attentive. The special dinner offered for Halloween was very good with classic French preparations. We had a wonderful experience.
French Rotisserie Cafe has a promising future IF management can develop a proper service plan.
The food is quit good, the owners and servers very friendly but do NOT expect timely service.
Operations are obviously overwhelmed and the Season hasn't really yet started.
We do wish FRC well and hope they succeed.
We always have a great meal here! We are new to the area and found this little gem a few months ago. The food is always great and Seena (the server) is in a class of her own. She runs the floor like few I’ve seen and does so with an extremely gregarious demeanor and flair for getting her customers served.
My wife and I have tried numerous items now on their menu, but during this meal, we felt like eating a bit lighter.
I had the French Onion soup as an appetizer—this soup has a very pleasant broth (almost a little sweet) and the perfect amount of cheese. It is one of the best I’ve had. I followed this with a Caesar salad as my entrée with grilled chicken on it. The chicken was really good!
My wife had the Rotisserie Chicken for dinner along with a side of carrots. The portion of chicken was really good. The chicken was moist and delectable.
We followed this up with a serving of the chocolate mousse that we split. The chocolate mousse here is really nice—it is a little bitter, but not problematic as it is sweetened a bit with the whipped cream. This is an outstanding mousse!
Overall, a great dinner with a very peaceful setting. Hats off to Luis for a great restaurant and Seena for her continuing awesome service!!
The food was very good. Friendly atmosphere and great vibe. Service was also outstanding.
We were celebrating my husband’s birthday and he couldn’t have been any happier than he was with the meal, the service and the overall ambiance. We felt like we were in a cafe in Paris. What a gem!
May have been an off night but the duck was not as good as last season.
We had a table outside. Once seated we were quickly given water, bread and had our drink order taken. Our server took our food order when we got our drinks as she wanted our order to get in before a large party that was also about to order. The server and the owner both took care of us. The service was excellent.
The food was excellent and we will definitely be going back.
Delightful restaurant, with great food and excellent service! We will be back!
It’s much quieter on the patio. It can get loud inside. Prices are up this fall but the food is great.
A very charming bistro with a warm and cordial staff and great food.
We were looking for somewhere different to go and found the French Rotisserie Cafe nearby. It is a small place but really nicely decorated, very French Cafe style. The people were very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, they were out of a couple of items. The overall menu was very good indeed. The service was a bit slow but when we finally got the food, it was excellent. Very nice to have a new and different place to go to. We will be going back again soon.
We recently dined at FRC prior to a show. We did not allow enough time for dinner (100% our fault) so we were not able to eat our entrees at the restaurant and had to take them "to go". As noted, the timing was our fault completely. The restaurant did everything possible to accommodate our takeaway request, and once we finally did eat our entrees (and enjoyed our show), we all agreed we will return so we can enjoy dinner fully at the restaurant. Service was gracious, the first courses we did eat there were excellent as well. Thank you for helping us out and we all look forward to returning (not on a show night :) ).
It’s always pleasant and we always look forward to seeing Luis and Fabienne. Cena was also a very good server! The New fall menu was excellent, especially the escargot!
Once again a special evening at the French Rotisserie. This time my husband and I had the mussels & frites. Very good but my favorite is still the rotisserie chicken. This is by far the friendliest restaurant we've ever eaten in.
Wow was not expecting it to be soooo good. The service, did and atmosphere was the best. We were a party of 4 for lunch. We had the pricing fix and it was extremely good. I would recommend this restaurant to anybody.
Charming, personable, and excellent kitchen. Warm and friendly, as well as sincere. We love it here!
Always a pleasure to dine in this wonderful restaurant. We have been coming here since it first open. They are wonderful people! They have you at hello! The staff and owners all take pride in there work and are happy to serve you!!
This was our 2nd time at this lovely little local dining place. Both times we've been there the food was very good, ambiance is warm and welcoming, service is outstanding. they make you feel welcome and comfortable.
My date was taken by how much the decor reminded her of France—herself having visited before. The servers were friendly and kind, and the food was quite delectable. Highly recommend👌
Our party had a featured aperitif, watermelon arugula salad and french onion soup, vol-au-vent and boeuf bourguignon from the prix fixe menu and the vegetarian quiche. Each was delicious!! Our chocolate mousse dessert was incredible. Service was attentive, owner was gracious...an authentic French bistro experience in the desert.
Very courteous and accommodating staff and management. Food was great
Great food and service.
This was our first time here and we will definitely be back! A great find in the desert!
I ordered from the $29 Prix Fixe menu and it was plenty of food and excellent. I started off with the delicious French Onion soup which was flavorful and the proper amount of cheese. I then had the chicken, mushroom and string bean dish with the puff pastry and wow was that good. Extremely delectable and the green beans were really cooked to perfection with it.
For desert, I had the chocolate mousse and it was really good as well. This is deemed as a no sugar added dessert and it was really nice.
Service was terrific as well-- we enjoyed this immensely.
Everything was delicious! Will def be back!
First time there so don’t know if they had an off night but ordered the prix fixe menu. Water melon salad was good but main course chosen chicken with wild mushrooms & green beans in puff pastry tasted like they served me leftovers from the night before - pastry didn’t taste freshly baked. Mom ordered bouillabaisse and was very disappointed. She said it was tasteless. Chocolate moose was good.
Hidden little gem in La Quinta. Menu is a little limited (It is the summer menu) but what's there is delicious. Owner is present and very personable. Staff aims to please but is not intrusive. And the food. Oh my my. Simple items but prepared perfectly.
We will certainly be back. Great service and food.
The restaurant was a pleasant surprise. It’s tucked away in a shopping center, but a gem of a place. Food was outstanding, service just as good & it’s a cute, quiet restaurant. We’ll be going back soon.
Second time in two weeks, new waitress so service was slow, not her fault. Need to improve on air conditioning I ask them to turn it up each time. When restaurant is almost full too noisy!!!
Wonderful family owned restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We had the Provence rotisserie chicken and the vol-au-vent.
Both dishes were perfectly cooked. I highly recommend this restaurant.
The best French Bistro in the area! Soupe à l’onion, and the bœuf bourguignon were superb!
Loved the food and the ambiance. This is a tiny gem in the Desert!!
Charming small bistro. We enjoyed everything.
Great food, service and price, we will certainly add to our small list of favorite restaurants. Go you won’t regret it.
