French Quarter Bistro was opened in 2018 in the heart of Frenchtown by Ed and Amoi Foerstel due to their love of all cuisine, Cajun.

Creole is derived from the many cultures who have settled in New Orleans, including; French, Spanish, West African, Caribbean, German, Italian, and Irish. Cajun is derived from the French-speaking Acadians who settled in the bayous south of New Orleans. The influences of the French are the most prominent of both cuisines. Almost all of our Creole and Cajun dishes begin with a stock (poultry, beef, or seafood), trinity (onions, green bell peppers, celery), and a roux (blonde, brown, or dark), lending a unique flavor to our Gumbo and other dishes.

We invite you to come to taste our cuisine at French Quarter Bistro. We are not re-inventing Creole and Cajun cuisine, only sharpening it!

Duck leg portion was tender but breast pieces extremely tough. Couldn't eat. Pork chops extremely tough. Birthday girl fork couldn't go through it. Appetizer, zucchini, on point. Bruchetta bread really hard. Cheese cake, amazing!! Service from ,Brenda, exceptional. 2nd time there, 2nd time disappointed. May try again.

The staff and food were amazing!!!! They went above and beyond for our sleeping 3 year old. The food was wonderful but the banana foster cake was the best dessert my husband said he’s ever ate!

This was our first time at the French Quarter Bistro and it did not disappoint. From the appetizers to desserts, my family enjoyed them all. The fried zucchini and crab cakes were perfect. They make their own Alfredo sauce which was a big hit with my kids. Service was great start to finish.

Don't be put off by the slightly bar like appearance of the exterior of restaurant. Food and service were outstanding and the prices were very reasonable given the location. Portions are very generous, you won't leave hungry.

French Quarter Bistro for evening dining is a great option! I recommend making a reservation, and remembering if you prefer the noise level not to be distracting, come fairly early (6 p.m. is great) and request a table in the back room. Parking is also much easier if you come early.

I can’t say enough about how much we love this place being locals we have plenty of choices in this is the top of the list. The food is consistent in the weight staff is very attentive and make the whole dining experience fun.

This is a hidden gem located in Frenchtown on St. Thomas. The Creole food was outstanding and the service was beyond compare. Our server (Lisa) was one of the best servers I have ever experienced. Her explanation of the menu and her recommendations were spot on. Once she completed her explanation the menu items and recommendations, our entire group of 6 gave her a round of applause.

Tried the French Quarter Bistro last night in St. Thomas VI. Best creole food I've ever had! I recommend the etouffe. Ambiance was great. Neat old building that was comfortable and relatively quiet but it was a fun atmosphere. Service was friendly and attentive and prices were reasonable for the island. Highly recommend!

Our snorkel cruise captain recommended French Quarter Bistro and I am so glad he did! The food was fantastic. I had one of the specials, a Mediterranean orzo pasta salad topped with the most delicious salmon. My hungry teenagers each had a po’ boy sandwich and they agreed they were better than the ones they’d had in New Orleans. The fries were delicious too! Highly recommend French Quarter Bistro. We will be back on our next trip to St. Thomas!

The place where it is located is not picturesque, it smells bad, some homilies, fish market in front, far from a fine dinne. Reasonable food, basic presentation. my waitress was drunk. I wouldn't go back

The Bistro was recommended by a local person working at another restaurant in St Thomas. We were extremely satisfied with everything. Need to make reservations for sure. It’s a locals favorite. Not just a tourist trap. We had the Braised Short Ribs. Best either my wife or I have ever had. Had the Escargot appetizer to start with a good bottle of Cab. Everything is very reasonably priced. Quality outstanding. You have to give the French Quarter Bistro a try

Everything was fantastic! We were seated immediately upon arrival. Our server was friendly and very attentive. The food, oh my, was fantastic: generous portions, cooked to perfection, and very tasty. Considering another visit before we leave the island.

What a great place to have on St Thomas! New Orleans vibe and menu is perfect. Love the menu with such different choices. I had the snapper with the lemon caper sauce, just amazing! We also hadthe beet salad and biegnets and pecan pie! Everything looked great and tasted even better. Our service people were very attentive without intruding. I hear the Sunday Brunch is very good and will go back for that next time!

On a recent Saturday Night trip to St Thomas we found The French Quarter Bistro and stopped in for a quick light dinner. The dinner was delicious and the staff were friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed it so much that we made reservations for Brunch the next day and the Brunch was also delicious. If you have the opportunity to dine there you will throughly enjoy it.

Good menu to at good prices. Nice ambience with a mix of tourists and locals. I enjoyed my alfredo with blackened shrimp. My husband and I shared a salad and passion fruit cheesecake. Our server was friendly and efficient. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
