Great food and love the atmosphere - good place to go with friends for a casual night out.

The food was very good. Our server, Reilley was excellent, we felt Covid safe both on the patio on a previous visit, and inside on this visit. The price is a bit high, but absolutely splurge on dessert!

I always loved this place. I would highly recommend the breakfast burrito and the tomato basil soup. They have excellent coffee selection as well

I was surprised at the limited breakfast menu, was hoping for traditional pancakes or French toast but had to settle for a dry corn pancake. My husband had the classic breakfast, the eggs and bacon were average and potatoes undercooked. Our server was friendly but had to ask for coffee refills. The cake however was delicious.

I always love French Meadow; the setting, ambiance, and of course the food is always good. But post-Covid space seemed a bit tight. I'm probably a nervous nelly.

The acoustics in the restaurant were quite terrible. they might benefit from putting some noise reduction in the ceiling. We had to talk so loud in order for our party to hear each other just on the other side of the table. I think this is what all of the tables were doing around us, so everyone in the restaurant was essentially just shouting over each other.

If you want organic food and options, this is the restaurant for you!

Food was great! I always enjoy the tempeh rueben sandwich. The staff was very helpful on the busy day.

AVOID IT: Rude, Terrible Service!!!

Have been to this restaurant many times in the past but will not go again! Had a reservation, arrived and requested a booth on the patio. The man doing the seating never looked up from his screen, mumbled and was rude from the start. When a booth opened up, we asked a waiter if we could move and he said sure. When we started to move, the man doing the seating returned and yelled at the waiter and told us to sit where he put us. I followed him and told him he was rude and had bad customer service. He started yelling at me and waving his hands around in my face. At that, I turned around and went back to my table. He followed me to the table, yelling and still waving his arms. I asked him multiple times to leave us alone and he refused to leave so me and my husband left the restaurant.

I sent an email to the Manager the next day detailing our poor experience and have received NO response. Real great French Meadow, real good.

Normally French Meadow has been consistent, but today the service was poor and slow, there was an issue with the food, and it wasn’t replaced in the way we asked. Nothing was taken off the price, either. We won’t choose FM for breakfast again, sadly.

The ambiance, food and service is terrific! Highly recommend this place at either location.

Our service was subpar at best. The server never offered to explain the menus, offer suggestions, or tried to upsale anything. He never offered to get another adult beverage/refill our water and left the dirty dishes pulling up on our table even after we paid. Did not check back with us after we got our food and never suggested dessert. Very disappointed in our experience.

Old school restaurant where the manager and servers chat and care about your meal and your day. Twinkling lights bring a bouyant and calm brightness to a delicious meal in a friendly atmosphere.

Birthday celebration. Always outstanding. At each and every location. Reilly was our waitress and was perfect.

Great ambience. Very private dining. Personable, friendly service. Quality, wholesome food. Good wine list.

Glad to find a St. Paul restaurant with a good, hearty, vegan breakfast. I hate having to drive to Minneapolis for vegan dinning. We'll be back!

Food and service was excellent.

There are great food choices and the salads are delicious. The courtyard is lovely. I’ve enjoyed breakfast here also my only complaint is that the service can be slow. Now during COVID it may be understandable, but I’ve had other dinner there when it is slow. The frustrating thing is they don’t check in while you wait so no chance to order bread or something. I keep going back because the food and atmosphere is great.

I’ve been going here for years and was so excited to bring my friend for the first time and it was a huge disappointment. I talked it up and we unfortunately had a bad service experience. Our server was not friendly or attentive and did not look happy to be working. I tried to be extra enthusiastic and friendly but it didn’t help. I wish it could have been better since I praised it but I don’t think we’ll be going back to say the least.

So nice to meet a friend for lunch in a comfortable chic environment with healthy options as well as fantastic pastries. Wonderful neighborhood gem.

Delicious organic food. I loved the extra safety plexi glass above and between booths. The food was beautiful, service excellent!

Delicious cappuccino. We had the eggs Benedict and I forgot that it came with a salad I would’ve liked potatoes or something Else offered to me. They have a full bar which is nice.

A very pleasant experience, despite the 50° temperature. Good food, good service, nice atmosphere.

The actual food was very good. 5 Stars but the coffee was cool and bitter. We asked for new mugs and was promptly served fresh coffee. Tasted good. Next refill was bitter again.
This will not deter us from returning as staff and the food was exceptional!

Amazing food (loved the plant based selections) and great ambience. Our group sat inside, but we peaked at the outdoor space in the back... would be awesome in nicer (warmer) weather. Definitely recommend!
