The food was delicious and the service was wonderful.
Disappointing doesn’t even describe it. The food was bland, the hostess was rude, the list is long of things that went bad but after 10+ years of eating at Fratellos, tonight will be the last time ever. They have lost the business of 4 families.
Food was very good as was service. Would have liked a salad with the entree.
We always love going to Fratello's but this time we had a gift card that we received for Christmas. It has a Visa logo so it can be used everywhere. Well apparently not Fratello's. This not only happened to us being told our card was denied and being embarrassed but before us this also happened to an elderly couple as well. I wish we would have known ahead of time that all giftcards aren't accepted. Quite honestly the giftcard is what allowed for us to even go out for Valentine's day since we need to be saving money so this was pretty crappy but nothing we could do about it.
We had a fabulous lunch here. Both the lasagna and rollatini were fabulous. We felt well cared for and safe as it was not too crowded.
Amazing food, terrific service. Looking forward to going back soon!
My wife and I came to Fratellos for a special occasion and were very happy with our choice. This was the cozy authentic Italian place we were looking for and we were well taken care of by our server, Preston, who was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes. Definitely make sure you make a reservation as this place is always packed. We will be returning!
The food prep and the entrees were top notch - really good. Great flavors. My order had a few errors - asked for salad dressing on the side - was not. Debated between salmon & chicken - and decided on chicken, but received salmon. My order was corrected. The bread rolls are very tough & chewy. For an Italian restaurant, the bread is a little disappointing. My husband returned from the restroom and an employee barked at him for not wearing a mask while standing. I politely told her that we have a letter from his MD stating that he should not ever wear a mask. She much later apologized for her abruptness. The saddest part about the whole mask thing is that people are made to believe that a mask protects them, when the science clearly shows mask wearing does not. What matters is our immune system and our level of Vitamin D among other things. Overall, I'm glad the restaurant is still in operation. It's very sad that so many businesses have had to close due to the politicalness of all this. Just my opinion.
Our family loves Fratello ‘s! Their food is always fresh and homemade, the atmosphere is nice and the service is friendly. Prices are what you’d expect for a good authentic Italian dinner!
Manicotti noodles were mushy. Waiter screwed up two orders.
Great meal, great service.
Great food, great service, and a wonderful atmosphere. Attentive service. Try it!
Anniversary
Always great food! They always have good specials but we love the veal, chicken or eggplant parmesan!
New Year’s Eve dinner. Fabulous food!
Don't want this gem being too well known because we live nearby & love going here without having to make reservation!
Compliments to the Entire Team - Chef, Service, Bar, & Management - EXCELLENT!
The food was fresh and delicious. The wit staff was friendly. The owner stopped by the table and explained some of the dishes.
First time eating here - everything was delicious. Warm bread, amazing Caesar salad, delicious entrees & scrumptious chocolate cake for dessert!!! Highly recommend! Will definitely go back again! Oh, waiter was very friendly & informative.
Staff was very accommodating. Food was great.
Looks like the 1970s inside. Dark and dreary.
My gimlet tasted like they used powdered lime instead of fresh. Food was mediocre at best - salad a little limp, soup (tomato pesto bisque) lumpy and cold, and the odor of the cleaning agent they use permeated the air so much that is all I could taste when I was eating my entree - manicotti.
We went early and were pretty much the only ones in the restaurant. That might be why. I hate to bash a restaurant in these times, but really there were no redeeming qualities.
And no, I did not inform the wait person - who was extremely polite - because there wouldn’t have been anything she could’ve done to make the experience better unfortunately.
Food was excellent, server was great, enjoyed the whole experience.
Excellent service, food and prices. I will definitely be back.
Large portions and friendly service. Chicken parm was delicious!
Preston was phenomenal! Food, service, drinks were great.
I am a “picky” eater, the waiter said no problem at all, we will make whatever you want however you want it! And it was delicious!!
My wife & I had a 4:00pm Friday reservation. We were the only inside diners at this early time. On the way out there was another couple dining outside.
We’ve eaten here before so we expected that the food would be good...& we weren’t disappointed. My wife had the chicken Parmesan & I had the chicken Marsala. Both dishes were very good. Probably one of the best chicken Marsalas I’ve ever had. As you might guess with only a few customers, the service was very good. But on other occasions when it was much busier, the service was still very good. We will certainly return.
Everything was delicious, very reasonable prices, friendly staff. Celebrating a birthday tonight. We will be back soon!!
Food is consistently amazing! Great for date night.
Best kept secret in Charleston! I have been in search of true, delicious Italian food in the Charleston area and finally hit the jackpot. This was our second time at the restaurant and we couldn't be more pleased. The portions are generous and the flavors are authentic to Italian cuisine. Jules was our server and did an incredible job juggling a very busy Saturday night with just 2 servers on site. It is a loud restaurant but an old building with poor acoustics. This definitely doesn't deter us from dining in. This was also our first meal out since the wake of Covid and we felt very safe in this environment.
Great dinner,
Excellent service with phenomenal tasting food. A must for anyone that enjoys a great evening out.
The food was excellent!’ I would definitely return again
Hidden gem! Food was great, must try the lemoncello creme brûlée!!
This was the first time we’ve dined inside a restaurant since the pandemic. It was a great experience. We felt safe, comfortable and the service and food were fantastic.
i definitely recommend and would return. My father enjoyed the veal marsala immensely. My salmon dish needed to be heated more but it was delicious. The tiramisu dessert was top notch. The wait staff was very amenable and friendly.
Overall the restaurant was excellent, the food, service, and atmosphere is fantastic. My only issue was actually with open table because they said my reservation was confirmed but the restaurant did not show my reservation, however, they quickly corrected the issue and got my family seated immediately! I’ll definitely be back!
Fantastic food and fantastic service!
Flies buzzing around. Our chicken was burnt. Couple kept staring at me the entire time I was trying to enjoy my “meal”
Was expecting a quiet semi-romantic meal, but sat right beside a pile of chairs, tons of gnats everywhere, and host was right behind us and constantly blabbering. Food was fine. I know COVID is going on, but restaurant could put forth more effort for SOME ambiance.
Spot on Old School Italian.
