Our cuisine is inspired from the Mediterranean coast and has strong Californian influences. The menu shifts frequently to utilize the best and freshest ingredients any season has to offer. Also, we pride ourselves on all of our house made desserts and ice creams.
Of equal importance, Frascati has become known for having an eclectic wine list which nicely complements the food.
Russet Potato Gnocchi
with Butternut Squash, Leeks, Mushrooms, Sage, Parmesan and White Truffle Oil
Grilled Pork Chop
with Potato Au Gratin, Broccolini, Persimmon Salsa and Pork Jus
Warm Black and White Chocolate Bread Pudding
Hazelnut Ice Cream, Caramel and Chocolate Sauce
Food and service were great as usual. The owners are so welcoming and appreciative of our business. I look forward to the time when there's full capacity allowed as the space between table does not make for the warmest environment - not the fault of the restaurant owners as they need to follow protocol.
Fantastic food and service. A must for any foodie!
Great spot, owners are fantastic.
This is a fabulous neighborhood gem of a restaurant. The food is excellent and the entire restaurant staff from the owners to the servers were welcoming and attentive. You must try the homemade ice cream and sorbets. It’s a must visit restaurant in San Francisco.
Great Meal, Super Friendly family run restaurant. They reall care about how the food tastes. Octopus Salad and Burrata are must orders. Bolognese pasta is the real thing!
I enjoyed this experience with my wife. The duck risotto and desserts were excellent. The gnocci was very soft and didn't really hold together like gnocci I've had previously. Salad was underdressed and the grilled bread didn't really stand up to the rest of the salad - it was oddly like white toast. Waiter didn't seem to know much about the wine, but otherwise very friendly and good service.
Incredible dessert! Lovely old San Francisco ambiance on Russian Hill!
10/10 experience with a great staff. Made us feel very welcome, with good food, in a warm atsmosphere
Everything at Frascati was fabulous from the warm welcome to the delicious meal to the amazing homemade ice cream!
This was a true delight; dining inside on a rainy, cold night. What joy to enjoy the culinary treats inside this fine establishment, after such a long hiatus! It appears that the long Covid pause did not adversely affect the food, the service, nor the owners' enthusiasm for providing a joyful and complete dining experience. It continues to rank as my favorite SF restaurant!
Literally one of my favorite places to eat anywhere.
We ate indoors for the first time in months so that was very exciting. The menu is filled with great options. The filet mignon and salmon were delicious. The owners work the floor as hard as the other staff and couldn't be nicer. Frascati has been in the neighborhood for a while and there is a reason it has lasting power!
Food & service were excellent. Gem of a neighborhood spot!
My favorite place in San Francisco!
Girls vacation weekend. Great service and great food after a great day of exploring San Francisco!
A great meal. Very hospitable and attentive service. Would recommend highly!
Great local place in a wonderful part of the city! Always greeted in a warm and friendly way and great menu to satisfy anyone with particular food limitations. Highly recomend it for a nice night out.
Best hidden gem in San Francisco!!
Outstanding service and food.
Love this local place. Unpretentious, upscale Mediterranean food - The menu is small but every dish (that I've had so far) is delicious. I plan to keep coming back until I become a local. Great for a date or dinner with parents. Definitely an older scene but it's not stodgy.
The four of us had not been to Frascati, but had heard very good things from friends who dine there regularly. So we studied the Frascati menu and website, and made a reservation. We arrived and were very warmly greeted by Jon and Rebecca Rader - the owners, and our waitress. The warm seamless service, terrific cuisine and ambience all combined to provide a wonderful evening for us. The hors d’oeuvres, the salads, the dinners and desserts were all delicious, innovative and left us happily looking forward to making Frascati one of our regular places to have dinner in The City.
The food was great, the service was quick and helpful, the ambiance was lovely and the location was great. Highly recommend.
Small restaurant with not much room to navigate. Portions on the small side. Not particularly great Italian. Would not recommend.
So cute! Such a charming little neighborhood place, with great food and wonderful service. Will definitely be returning!
Visited this place time and time again and it has never disappointed with the quality of food and service. As long as this place is open for business I will always keep coming back.
Food a bit above average. Servers were so rushed and a bit pushy. It was not a relaxing experience despite a nice warm environment.
The chicken is the best in SF. It is never disappointing.
Frascati has a wonderful atmosphere and great customer service. However I am so disappointed that they changed their roasted chicken recipe to an oven baked herb topping dish. This was once a wonderful signature dish which drew us to this restaurant.
We had 3 appetizers and a middle course and to main courses. All the dish were fantastic. Service was wonderful and fast, the ambiance is quaint but not very private since the place is small. It feels like being in an European bistro . The staff was very knowledgeable and attentive (just the right amount). The food was fresh and well prepared. I had the octopus salad were the octopus was cooked to perfection and it was very tender not (chewy). The gnocchi and buttata appetizers are to die for if you are a cheese lover. I also had the hand made pappardelle which they tasted very fresh, accompanied by very tender pork. Very delicious. Well worth the 5⭐️ . I was very impressed and I will certainly visit again
Excellent food, excellent service. Highly recommend. The restroom could use an upgrade! :)
Love this place!
Owner and service amazing, ambience 5 stars, food terrific.
Want to keep it a secret!
We live in the East Bay and make the trip to SF fairly regularly to eat at this amazing restaurant. Excellent food, warm and welcoming environment. John and Rebeccca are lovely. Makes for a wonderful evening. One visit here and you’ll be hooked.
Frascati never disappoints. Their menu is solid, from top to bottom, and we have total trust in their wine list. They are friendly and helpful throughout the service.
For the past seven years my sister and I have spent a week in the city. We had seen this restaurant while riding the cable car each year in the evening. We were drawn to its intimacy, a true neighborhood bistro. We finally made a reservation and were thrilled that it was everything we hoped. Though the salads and appetizers looked good, we were not hungry enough for several courses. We both got the duck breast and both thoroughly enjoyed it. The cabbage under the breast added a nice contrast of texture and flavor. The duck was cooked to perfection. We also enjoyed a wonderful Central Coast Grenache Syrah. And though we didn't have room for appetizers or salad, we of course had dessert! Panna cotta for my sister and the chocolate bread pudding with hazelnut ice cream for me. I would go back just to have more of that bread pudding! The panna cotta was also delicious. Our waiter was helpful in choosing a wine and provided excellent service without hovering. We spoke briefly with the owner who was gracious and welcoming. We will definitely be back!
Really nice restaurant!
Food was just ok given that it was rated 5 stars
A neighborhood gem. The duck, pastas and fish are all excellent, the atmosphere is warm and friendly and the service is attentive and unobtrusive. Rachael's deserts have a home made quality few restaurants can match.
A wonderful neighborhood restaurant with delicious Italian food.
What a wonderful evening as we enjoyed everything from the warm welcome to the appetizers, soup and salad, main courses and the awesome cherry swirl cheesecake ! The owners made us feel very special. Thank you !
This was our tenth wedding anniversary. Service was attentive but not intrusive, over all impressed with Service. Every course was very good, Salmon bruschetta was excellent. Salads were outstanding.
Nothing was overlooked and we will definitely visit again.
