Frank's on First is an Italian restaurant and trattoria. Each day, all of the pasta and dough for the restaurant is made from scratch by the kitchen staff. Frank's staff serves only the freshest ingredients that have been locally sourced, picking up produce from the local markets each day. So, after making this opentable booking, we walked to the restaurant. I was very confused, as when we arrived to the address, it was a pizza counter. I thought to myself, "this cannot be where we made out reservation!" Low and behold, there is a door to a dining room in the rear of the pizza kitchen. I am so glad that we walked through the door, because the food at Franks is absolutely STELLAR. I'm talking about the absolute best chicken marsala I have ever had. I am quite picky about a good marsala and now when I have a craving I will not go anywhere else!! My boyfriend got the chicken parm ad said it was equally as excellent. When they brought the check, they give little almond cookies that are delicious. We will be back, frequently!

We had dinner with Italian friends who are great and authentic Italian cooks. They raved about the food. We have eaten at Frank's many times after being introduced by friends who lived in the neighborhood. Always had a great dinner. The shrimp scampi was outstanding.

Franks has been a staple in the neighborhood. The food is delicious, the staff and Owner so friendly - you will always run into one of your neighbors there. Many wonderful items to choose from on the menu. All in all, a perfect place to eat!

A local red sauce Italian food joint. You get what you expect, and it was quite satisfactory. It is also pretty inexpensive. It is also quite a safe place. We ate there on July 4, and it was packed with copys.

I lived in this neighborhood for over 13 years and never knew this place was here. Great old traditional Italian food. Will be coming here often.

I was in search of a reasonably priced restaurant with good food, and I figured, this place has been here 30 years, it's gotta be at least decent. Boy was I wrong. It was definitely quiet, and we had the entire dining room to ourselves for most of the time, yet the service was horrible! Infrequent visits to the table, servers who barely speak English, and food that was...well, edible I guess, but that's about it. I will never return here and would not recommend it to anyone. Maybe their pizza is good, but at this point, I'm not courageous enough to try.
