    We were disappointed because we had been to Frank's many times and this was our first disappointing experience - especially since we brought a guest who was unfamiliar with Louisiana cuisine. There were sugar crystals at the bottom of the Old Fashion. The rice was crusty and crunchy and two dishes had to be sent back. The second attempt was better but the rice was still sub-standard. On the plus side, the steak frites was excellent and perfectly done.

    This place is a hidden gem. It’s a little out of the way but only 30 mins or so from Shreveport bossier major area. The food is so good and upscale but the restaurant is laid back and more casual. You can dress up or dress down and still get a phenomenal meal. I’ve been four times and haven’t been disappointed yet. Also the best oysters I’ve had in Louisiana and that includes spots down in New Orleans. Must Go!

    Food & service always excellent - but this evening they were obviously understaffed - our server was polite & gracious as we had VERY long waits & my Oysters Bieneville (my favorite, usually perfect) were cold when they arrived :(

    Great Cajun food that didn't require Tabasco, and DJ gave impeccable service. I liked the fact they had a well chosen wine list with wine reviewer ratings and reasonable prices.

    Food was amazing! Nice live band too (volume a tad high but they were really good). Loved the oysters, shrimp, and onion rings and the salads were amazing!!!!

    The service was slow; our food did not come out at the same time; took several tries to get a salt shaker that worked - our server finally brought some in a paper cup. Oysters were good but small

    I had the fish with pecan and asparagus and potatoes. The asparagus was not cooked well the potatoes were an edible. They were hard as a brick. The food was very overpriced. Nothing like what I remembered several times when I went a couple years ago.

    I had a terrible birthday lunch here! It took 2 hours to get our food, during lunch when the restaurant really wasn’t very busy. My mom had a hair come in her food, they took the plate and didn’t offer to bring her anything else or come back so that we could order again so I shared my meal with her. I asked if they could do something for my birthday like put a candle on my dessert and they said no. She said they don’t do birthdays, whatever that means. Our server was not attentive but was nice while the manager was just rude! Overall, the food was just OK. My steak was good, but everything else was pretty bland and over priced. All of the vegetables were undercooked and too hard to eat. We really enjoyed the jazz band, I wish they could’ve played a happy birthday tune or something! The ticket that we received before we put our cards down, was less than what they charged us for… when I asked the manager about that, he offered to fix it, but we had been waiting too long and had to leave. We won’t be coming back!

    We were on our way back from New Orleans to Dallas and wanted to stop once more to eat some good food. We searched and found this place. Good and service was amazing. I made a reservation for a late lunch and as soon as I came and told them I had a reservation they immediately seated us and recognized my birthday I guess by my open table profile. We started the lunch with the hush puppies. I ordered the BBQ shrimp. It was delicious served with yummy grits. My wife ordered the red beans and rice and she loved it. At the end of our meal I was offered a slice of cheesecake which was very tasty. Thank you again for a great meal before heading home.

    Our party of 4 tried to go to a couple of places in Bossier for dinner on a Saturday evening with no reservations. After being turned away multiple times because they were filled up, we used the OpenTable app to find somewhere that had an opening. We were so glad that we did, because Frank's Louisiana Kitchen showed it had an opening for us. After making the reservation, we immediately headed over and we were so glad that we did. The restaurant is in a new business development away from the traffic congestion in Shreveport or Bossier. The food and service was outstanding, and it was in a quiet laid back atmosphere. The blackened redfish was tender and flavorful, as were the crab cakes. We will be back next time we visit the area.

    Would definitely go back. The food was delicious and the jazz trio playing was lovely. Cocktails were ok. Service was fine, felt a little rushed to pay as we were asked about checks instead of if we needed anything else's. I never got my to go box as once the checks were delivered our server never acknowledged us again. Would have been nice to have some wine and listen to the music but, overall, it was really nice.

    Although our server was very nice and friendly, the service was extremely slow! Food portions were very small! Waited over an hour for entrees to be served. Restaurant was full and seemed understaffed! Bill was over $200 with tip for 3 people and no alcohol. The place does not serve non-alcoholic beer which is very unusual for any high end establishment! Very disappointing experience…probably won’t be returning!

    This is the second time we visited this restaurant. Surprisingly, the manager remembered us and greeted us with kindness. The food was as good as the first time we were there. Fresh oyster, watch out for the freshly grounded horseradish it can squeeze a few tears out of your eyes. The calamari has a bigger cut than the usual. It was one of the best we ever had. Everything was fresh and great. Have you ever had a broccolini so fresh it tasted sweet in your mouth? I wonder if I would love vegetables if I had this when I was a kid. The red beans and rice, omg, it truly was the best. Love the place. Wish we could travel by there more often.

    We decided to try out Franks for the first time for our anniversary dinner. What a great choice that turned out to be! Some of the highlights of our dinner include: Restaurant owner coming to our table to personally thank us for choosing to eat dinner at Franks for our anniversary, complementary glass of champagne, modern layout of restaurant, creative menu items, creative wine list/cocktails, server (DJ) was very pleasant to converse with and knew the menu well. Although we were impressed by these things, the most important aspect of any restaurant is the food. This, perhaps, is where Franks separated itself from most other restaurants in the Shreveport-Bossier area. EVERYTHING we tasted (hush puppies, marinated crab claws, Blue fin tuna, Shrimp and grits, Banana pudding cheesecake, pecan chocolate pie a la mode) was absolutely stellar! We will be back to visit this gem again and highly recommend others try it out, if they haven’t already done so.

    Scott was an awesome waiter. I love the kids options. Additionally, they worked hard to make sure I got my grapefruit mimosa! I loved my crêpe lunch as well. Highly recommend.

    Service was extremely slow. Took over 30 minutes just to get drinks. Food came out and was over cooked and over dressed. We sent it back. Not a good experience.

    We had reservations and they didn’t bother to look them up when we arrived. We were seated almost immediately though. We waited 1 hour 15 mins for our food to which we never received. We ended up canceling our order and walking out.

    First seated under a/c that was being repaired. Food was almost inedible. Everything was way too salty. The fish was extremely overcooked. It was an expensive meal and probably the worst meal I’ve eaten out. Very disappointing experience for guests from out of town. Never again.

    Such a fun, delicious spot for Sunday brunch! The live music was 💯 and so were the Hushpuppies!! Our food was a tiny bit slow but that was because there were 2 very large parties ahead of us. No worries, tho, because it gave us time to enjoy the live music! Will be back!!

    We really enjoyed this beautiful restaurant and it’s located in the cutest neighborhood. The host was really friendly and our server DJ was fantastic. We loved the appetizers (hushpuppies are 🔥🔥🔥) and the entrees were great portions and delicious.

    Food was not worth the price. The waiter put in the wrong steak for my husband and instead of having to wait 25 minutes for the right one he just took that one they brought and only ate a couple of bites. The only thing they did was gave him a free dessert. Service was absolutely terrible and they weren’t even busy. That was our first time there and we will never go back

    The menu was very appealing, a good variety and ample options. Very nice and interesting wine list. We had the seafood wedge, oyster salad and petite order of seafood crepes. The wedge presentation was pretty, and seafood was delicious. It was a bit tricky to cut easily on the lunch size plate. Oysters are fried perfectly at Franks, always. Enjoyed the live music and te vibe here

    We've never had a bad meal at Frank's! Reservations are best for Sunday or holiday brunch, or if you're particular about where you're seated, which we are. Frank's has many long-time employees, which speaks to the culture they've created in a high turnover industry, and this is evident in the wonderful experience and excellent customer service they offer.

    I would definitely go back to Franks. My boyfriend and I enjoy the service and food. This place is awesome for a nice date dinner, happy hour, kid friendly, you name it.
