The food was super yummy! I was there for brunch, so the $4 bloody mary was my appetizer! Spicy and a great value. Ordered the biscuits and gravy, which were good, but a little stingy -- no, a lot stingy -- with the gravy. Ask for extra on the side!! Took a bite of my husband's purple grits...YUM! Took a bite of my mom's waffle...Yum!! There was a band playing, which really livened us up! If I go back, I will try a different menu item! They all looked so good!
Absolutely great tasting food!
By chance we ended up with a very attentive and experienced waiter. I was a bit put off by one waitress opting out of our party sitting in her section. She said she was about to get off. However she worked throughout our stay and I even heard her commenting to another patron she was working until 9 or 10.
We have been here for brunch (and enjoyed it) several times. The service is never quick, which is usually ok when the food is stellar, but the food seemed to be lacking freshness and was lukewarm. Hopefully it was an isolated incident and the kitchen staff will be on their game next time we visit.
Service was slow from the kitchen not the wait staff.
Overall it was good the fish was perfect however the gumbo was a different story. Why do they have to smother flavor with pepper? I would not recommend the gumbo.
The food is always very tasty, and fresh! My favorite dish is the pecan crusted redfish. The service is always prompt.I think it is Shreveport’s finest restaurant.
Frank's food is always great and the service is amazing!
We had a delightful brunch at Frank’s. I plan to return and sample many of the other menu items.
Cocktails very good!! Service was great!! Food was delicious! !
The service and the food were delicious. I had the shrimp and grits. Some of the best I’ve ever had . We also had a Poboy, it was as good as any from New Orleans.
First time trying the place. Excellent service, excellent food. Would go back anytime!!
Onion rings are always good, great way to start with cocktails. Oysters on half shell, special redfish and BBQ shrimp were are good. Service can be rushed, but if you let server know that your in no hurry they let you linger at your pace. Overall, it was a better exp than past few times.
Looking for a nice quaint place to dine at. I got lucky when I found Frank's, it was just what I was looking for. The atmosphere and ambiance combined with a Very friendly staff as well as the guest. The food was made to perfection per my request. The drinks have a great mix, taste and a kick just the way I like them. It was a great find and I will be back.
I ordered an entree of the BBQ shrimp. It was pretty good but felt like it was missing something. It would have been better if it was served on some grits.
Food was excellent
Best oysters anywhere
Pecan crusted snapper was so good
Our server,Adam, made the experience super fun
Franks never disappoints. Everything was excellent.
We will be back again, the service was great and the food and atmosphere was great.
Impressive as always! From the delicious crab meat Betsy to the soups passing by the salad and the outstanding fish selection!
Food was Excellent. Service wasn’t as good as last time. Restaurant wasn’t that busy, but service was lacking. Had to ask for water refills multiple times.
franks was recommended and it was right on target. We had a group of 9 and some picky eaters, and all were able to find something they were delighted with. The Charcuterie board was great as were the oysters. Cocktails were very good, creative and tasty.
Lively atmosphere, the bar looked like a good spot to grab a bite as well.
Everyone loved their dishes, and we had quite a variety of food. Service was satisfactory.
Excellent service and food! I think the spinach/artichoke appetizer was the best I've ever had...and the poboys rival those in New Orleans! Couldn't believe how many oysters were on that sandwich. You can easily share and have plenty. We'll be back!
Dinner and service were excellent! Nice place to have a date night or quick lunch. Definitely would recommend eating here !
The sautéed redfish was fresh and the choice of sauce complimented the fish nicely. Sides were fresh and seasoned perfectly
We went after graduation and enjoyed a lovely meal. Oysters were outstanding. Bronzini was terrific. Our server Adam took great care of us and made tremendous recommendations. A lovely place for a celebration dinner.
I would try it again on a day that wasn't mother's day! The gumbo was great! The salad I got did not have everything on it that was advertised, for instance boiled eggs. They were completely out of several menu items. The service was good, our waitress was very nice and attentive. Liked the physical location and the interior.
Unprepared and overwhelmed. 2 words that best describe what we experienced at the mother's day brunch. Reservations were made. We were seated and waited 20mins for our server(which became the bartender) ordered apps and drinks. They came out at a resonable amount of time, but the boudin was extremely salty and the gumbo was missing the bread. Then we ordered out entrees. 50 mins later no entrees. Told out server we waited long enough and we would like to leave. Manager apologized and refunded our apps. Gave the excuse of kitchen over whelmed(ah yeah), but staffing was very low considering how many people were there.
I have been here before and it was never that bad. I appreciated the manager’s apology and grating of our apps. But it made for a bad mother’s day experience for my wife.
Mothers Day. They did a great job serving a large crowd. The crab cakes were great! The Crab Betsy was not as fresh as we would have liked. The table had two seafood salad‘s, an oyster salad and the Grillades and Grits. Nice portions. All were delicious. Service was excellent. Bloody Mary’s were wonderful.
It was a great meal. We’ll be back.
Mother’s Day seating at 1:15 PM and all they offered was brunch. We didn’t want brunch in the middle of the afternoon so we left, very disappointed. I don’t expect we will return.
Very loud-hard to talk and hear. Tables are too close for the price charged for the food. And felt our neighbors could hear every word. Food was hot and delicious. Had oyster salad and husband had shrimp & grits. Excellent. Regina was a very attentive and friendly server. Took off the Sangria which wasn’t a real Sangria. Next time a bartender says they don’t know how to make one....believe them!
Mother’s Day lunch.....Food and service were both exemplary! Will definitely dine here again in the future!
Fabulous fresh food!
Fantastic dinner - we had a large group and were seated on the back side of a half-wall, so we were able to enjoy a somewhat private dinner setting. The food was fantastic, beautifully presented and delicious. Happy Hour specials were good, the staff was absolutely wonderful, especially our server Riley. Highly recommend this place. I had originally booked a patio table, but upon arrival we realized the patio was not as appealing as expected (basically overlooking the parking lot) so we were accommodated inside without a problem, and that turned out to be a much better solution for us.
The service was terrible. The hostess didn’t walk us to our table. She pointed to the table and said” go sit there”. After waiting 20 minutes for drinks, I gave up and went to the bar.
It was amazing. Food was great and the staff was very friendly.
Great food. Loved the jumbo shrimp!!!
Went for Easter brunch. It was outstanding. Varied menu. Fabulous cocktail selection. Band!
Everything was wonderful
The only problem was the soggyness of the pecan crusted red fish
The service was mediocre to poor! I ordered the artichoke dip appetizer and it only came with about 4 or 5 small pieces of crostini so I asked for some more crostini to finish the dip and they charged me extra for it. How cheap was that! The bar b q shrimp dinner was terrible compared to what I’ve had at other places. I probably won’t go back.
The service was excellent and friendly. Easy check-in for reservation. Open space. The mirror on the wall made my date uncomfortable to sit right next to as the table was arranged, but it was a decor choice that may need tweaking. Overall, the food was excellent and not too noisy.
Franks Louisiana Kitchen has a great menu. Everything I have tried so far has been delicious. I had Eggs Sardou on Sunday Brunch and they were some of the best eggs benedict I ever had. Last time I was there with two friends and we ate appetizers of Boudin Balls and Duck Andouille and tasso gumbo. Both were great. We tried the Bourbon Pecan Pie and it melted in your mouth. They have some of the best bloody marys I ever drank, and they have happy hour during the day which is very unusual.
I plan to return in the near future and try some more of the items on the menu.
