I've eaten at Frank's American Revival a number of times. The food and atmosphere is always outstanding. When I walk in the door, I immediately feel welcomed.

Frank's was a welcomed dinner out after the freezing temperatures and loss of water during this past week! They had even boiled their water and had bought ice in bags!
But it is the excellent fried chicken, biscuits and stewed okra with tomatoes that I love. Our waiter, Jacob, was exceptionally talented; he was attentive, without being intrusive and got our orders just right. Another enjoyable evening at Frank's!

Manager was extremely rude. They were busy, but he was over the top rude.

We love Frank’s! Food is delicious and service is always good! My husband says they have the best seafood gumbo he’s ever had - it compares to his grandma’s and that is saying a lot. We love to go and enjoy our whole meal - cocktails, appetizers, entree, and dessert. Always wonderful!

Just a wonderful neighborhood restaurant with a warm, dark and cozy atmosphere to enjoy a comfortable yet delicious dinner. The wait staff is fantastic - from the valet, to the water server, to the waiter and the hostess. It’s really nice to have such a friendly and professional staff. We love eating here! The pistachio crusted salmon is my favorite! My husband is a big fan of the fried chicken!

It takes us an hour to get to Frank’s, we we only go for special occasions. Our daughter-in-law had her birthday and wanted to go there. We were all excited because it’s a favorite and we haven’t been in a long time. Everything was wonderful. Delicious main courses, Very nice adult beverages, fantastic desserts. Superior service.
Can’t really ask for more. I’m sorry/glad it is not closer. It would be wonderful to go more often, but dangerous for my weight!!

I only wish I would have learned about Frank's earlier! We had a phenomenal experience beginning with our server, Michael, who was very informative about his/house favorites, friendly, fun, and attentive but not lurking over your shoulder. We had the incredible fried green tomatoes with shrimp and remoulade slaw as a starter...heavenly! I then had the roasted beet and arugula salad with herbed goat cheese which was another incredible course. My husband had the bone in maple & cider brined pork chop with apple chutney and ordered a side of the smoked gouda mac & cheese which was divine! I thought I'd died and gone to heaven when I was served my gnocchi bolognese made with beef, veal & pork sugo topped with herb ricotta and garlic bread! How could we possibly depart without a dessert? I voted for chocolate cake but my husband voted for the carrot cake. Michael quickly told me I WOULDN'T be disappointed and holy smoke he was right! Freshly made carrot cake, not too much over sugary icing and topped with toasted coconut....I would go back just for dessert but alas....the rest of our family wants to indulge in the tasty offerings so I already made reservations for this week for all of us!

The chicken-fried steak and mashed potatoes are out of this world! So good and such an ample portion that the 2 of us split it. Although there is a $5 split charge, it is well worth it to get 2 side dishes customized for each plate. Service is always great here. And how wonderful that they were open and smiling on Christmas Eve!

Friday lunch at Frank’s is for fried chicken! Great tasting, moist fried chicken. My wife and I shared the white meat version (two large breasts) along with salad and collard greens! Wonderful.

Christmas dinner with friends

Service was disappointing. Very slow. We were a party of 5, the only party in the restaurant larger than 2 people, however the waitress seemed to be busy with the other few tables in the restaurant.
She was slow to take our orders to begin with. The kitchen got out all of the other tables food prior to ours, even though they ordered after us. It was over an hour from the time we arrived to when we received our food. The food was good but not as good as it’s been in the past.
We were there for a birthday, which I had marked as such on Open Table. It was never mentioned.
We tried to order dessert, but again, the waitress was too busy with all of her other tables. By the time she decided to come back, we were ready to go. I tried to get the managers eye as well while he was on the floor checking with other tables, but he deliberately walked in the other direction to avoid coming by.
It’s too bad. We try to support the restaurants during this time and have eaten here a few times previously and really enjoyed it.
Perhaps it was an off night but there are too many choices that are available especially at this price point.
