Frank's Americana Revival
The steaks are all Certified Angus and come with generous sides on the same plate, and the salads are almost legendary.
Frank's is a place where you can meet your friends in the bar, dine there, or experience the full menu in the dining room.

We really enjoyed the evening. The Seafood Gumbo was one of the best thaT I have had place it a 8.5 on my scale. The Snapper was the best I have had - the other diners at our table raved about their food choices. The best kudos I can give we stayed at this restaurant for a truly enjoyable evening of great conversation of which you could really hear each other - amazingly no crowd noise what a delight - the service was impeccable and wisely timed as they had a great eye for when you needed to be waited on with bread, water and food. We were not rushed and found this to be an enjoyable experience we will repeat often.
Everything was A+ as always!
Wonderful establishment and excellent seafood.
We always enjoy eating at Franks and this visit was especially good since our favorite server Ivan was there. The fries green tomato appetizer is so delicious with the shrimp remoulade topping and cabbage slaw base. The almond crusted snapper special was excellent as was the redfish Ponchatrain.
Frank’s is one of Houston’s gems, always fist class service and quality. You are always made to feel welcome and never rushed. Thank you for a most enjoyable evening.
I loved the food and the service. Nice, intimate and good for girl's "catching up"!
As one of our year-round go-to faves, Frank's seldom disappoints. Serving delicious comfort food in a clubby sort of atmosphere, we always run into like-minded pals there. If you haven't had the coleslaw they serve with the appetizer pork ribs, order a side next time.....so different, so yummy! With so much competition out there, offering a menu of multiple 1st choices, it remains an easy option for "where shall we dine tonight?"
Frank's is my wife's go to place - either to celebrate small successes or drink over setbacks. Solid food and a good bar. Have come to know our server. During the week you can have a booth and a conversation!
What is not to like?
Very good food and service. It was a Monday night so it was a little quite. Have been before and will go again.
Really good food!
Shrimps needed more seasoning.
Always a great place to take another couple for a nice dinner. Noise level is great for visiting and food is wonderful
Great Great Crab Cakes ...!!!
Excellent location, great service and outstanding food. Highly recommend especially for lunch.
Very nice for a business lunch. Offers a quite and good setting to have discussions / conversations. Food was very good .
Have never had a bad experience, or meal, at Frank's!!!
i WENT IN FOR THE FRIED CHICKEN SPECIAL. SAID I WANTED ALL DARK MEAT......GOT 2 DRUMSTICKS AND 1 THIGH. COLLARD GREENS WERE WARM. MAC WAS HOT.
Met a friend at Franks for dinner. This place is always reliably good! My husband and I both ordered the pecan crusted redfish with ratatouille- OUTSTANDING! Our friend had the grillades (short ribs & grits) which also looked yummy - “fall apart”.
Quiet place (tho the bar next door appeared to be a “happening place”.
It was cozy and quiet even with several others dining during the lunch hour. Our waiter, Earl, was very attentive but not intrusive. This is on our favorite restaurant list.
Fabulous, as always! The special fish was especially delicious.
Always a great place for dinner!
That night was my birthday and I got free desert! Thanks!
See you again....Soon!!!
Had never been here before though highly recommended by member of our 4-person party who went with the group. Place is very dark and clubby but with spot lights on the center of each table so you can see what you're ordering and what you're getting. Mixed drinks were apparently good (according to those at table who drink) and special requests accommodated, service was excellent, food was excellent classic American dishes, prices reasonable for current Houston, TX, items. A really good place to go for business dinners, friends gatherings, and just good atmosphere all around.
Delightful environment, the wait staff was very attentive but not "in your face". Most entrees were outstanding, one was solid but nothing special. Nevertheless, overall an excellent experience and we'll definitely return.
Frànks is always great. Food and service superb. One of our favorites!
Good wine list and pricing. We liked the bread with the fruit in it a lot.
Always a good experience
This was our first time visiting Frank's Americana. We brought guests from out of town. An absolutely AMAZING dining experience. Great food and great service... We WILL be back!
GREAT FOOD AND SERVICE , A BIT PRICEY ON ENTREES
Love this neighborhood gem for the variety, staff, and quality.
Service a little slow at first, but then picked for delivery of our food.
Overall the experience was great. I do wish the restaurant had had the full menu for Valentine’ Day.
It was over priced to an astronomical amount. Im not a cheap person, but if i pay for an expensive meal i expect a decent amount of food. It was a "four course" Valentine's day meal that quite frankly was appaling. The first course i chose tge scallop(s) and just recieved 1 yes ONE scallop, luckily my wife got the mushroom bisque so we can share but even that was paltry. They ran out of the halibut by 8pm, the dessert was a strawberry shortcake that looked as if a 12 year old played with cookie dough and just plopped it on a small plate and covered it in whip cream. The carrot "cake" was a tiny muffin. This place blows.
Very disappointed in the Valentine's Day Dinner. The food was good, but the service was terrible for this very special occasion at a steep price. The wine pairings were good, but hardly enough of a pour to be able to taste the wine. The waiter did not bring the first wine until after the first course was served and eaten. The second and third courses were not correct when served and then the bill was not correct. Obviously, the waiter did not check the bill before presenting it. I have been to Frank's many times, but will not return for a while and hope that they will straighten out their service problem.
A comfortable as expected experience
We dined with a dear friend who is 95
everyone was mist helpful
great rare evening and great food
Compliments and thanks to our server Ivan
The waiter assigned to our table of 8 provided superb service. He was courteous, responsive,
helpful and patient with us and our divided check. We all agreed to tip him generously so I hope all of those paying did so. It is our favorite place for birthday lunches with a menu that offers something enticing to everyone. Please thank you again for ensuring a happy birthday for our friend.
The food was delicious and we appreciated dining in a fairly quiet space, despite it being full of patrons. We will be back!
Food was excellent. However, we had reservation for 7:30 and did not get seated until 8:20
We love Franks! The best fried chicken. Service always good, drinks strong and food delicious.
It was a great restaurant to spend time catching up with old friends. The service and food were exceptional. Love the Crab Cake and the Grillades and Grits. Would highly recommend for a group meal!
