Frank's Americana Revival
The steaks are all Certified Angus and come with generous sides on the same plate, and the salads are almost legendary.
Frank's is a place where you can meet your friends in the bar, dine there, or experience the full menu in the dining room.
Reservations are recommended but not required. Come see what Chef Colin Shine is creating.

Love this neighborhood gem for the variety, staff, and quality.
Service a little slow at first, but then picked for delivery of our food.
Overall the experience was great. I do wish the restaurant had had the full menu for Valentine’ Day.
It was over priced to an astronomical amount. Im not a cheap person, but if i pay for an expensive meal i expect a decent amount of food. It was a "four course" Valentine's day meal that quite frankly was appaling. The first course i chose tge scallop(s) and just recieved 1 yes ONE scallop, luckily my wife got the mushroom bisque so we can share but even that was paltry. They ran out of the halibut by 8pm, the dessert was a strawberry shortcake that looked as if a 12 year old played with cookie dough and just plopped it on a small plate and covered it in whip cream. The carrot "cake" was a tiny muffin. This place blows.
Very disappointed in the Valentine's Day Dinner. The food was good, but the service was terrible for this very special occasion at a steep price. The wine pairings were good, but hardly enough of a pour to be able to taste the wine. The waiter did not bring the first wine until after the first course was served and eaten. The second and third courses were not correct when served and then the bill was not correct. Obviously, the waiter did not check the bill before presenting it. I have been to Frank's many times, but will not return for a while and hope that they will straighten out their service problem.
We dined with a dear friend who is 95
everyone was mist helpful
great rare evening and great food
Compliments and thanks to our server Ivan
The waiter assigned to our table of 8 provided superb service. He was courteous, responsive,
helpful and patient with us and our divided check. We all agreed to tip him generously so I hope all of those paying did so. It is our favorite place for birthday lunches with a menu that offers something enticing to everyone. Please thank you again for ensuring a happy birthday for our friend.
The food was delicious and we appreciated dining in a fairly quiet space, despite it being full of patrons. We will be back!
Food was excellent. However, we had reservation for 7:30 and did not get seated until 8:20
We love Franks! The best fried chicken. Service always good, drinks strong and food delicious.
It was a great restaurant to spend time catching up with old friends. The service and food were exceptional. Love the Crab Cake and the Grillades and Grits. Would highly recommend for a group meal!
Our food tasted great and the portion size was larger than expected. We also enjoyed the casual yet peaceful atmosphere where we had no trouble hearing each other. Our biggest complaint was that one of our steaks was over cooked, something experienced chefs should know how to avoid.
Waiter was very nice, food was good. We like the booth in the bar which I reserved. But it’s a bit over priced!
Such a great variety of delicious foods and willing service. The cocktails are creative and fun.
Great food and great service. Wine list is very good and the bar tender serves great cocktails.
Enjoyed our dinner at Frank's. We each had seafood of some sort. I had salmon with vegetables and thought it was good, very moist and perfectly cooked. The vegetables were excellent. Salad, a spinach with arugula, was one of the best I have had in a restaurant. Overall, an excellent experience although not a place to go on a budget. That being said, I would go back for a great salad and the pleasant ambience.
Not happy with the service. He would come to the table and look and never ask if we were ok till the end of the meal. He never filled my water glass.
Tuna tartare - fishy taste and served very cold as if taken straight from refrigerator. I suspect it was made earlier in the day and then chilles.
Redfishly cooked, salty.
Espresso lukewarm... probably a Nespresso.
Carrot cake was dry and stale. Probably prepackaged and not made on site.
Overall food was not impressive and was.overpriced.
Waiter was very pushy and eager to get us ordering asap. No time to enjoy the atmosphere and chat amongst ourselves.
Always good. Look no further for a great menu and plenty of comfort food. Great drinks and great service and very reasonable prices. My favorite “go to” place in Houston.
Frank’s food is always superior!!
fantastic pkace , no noice , excellent burgerand french fries
One of my favorite everyday restaurants. It has the feel of a Metairie neighborhood restaurant
The menu was great. One critique: we found the gravy on the CFS under salted and the same for the batter used for the fried chick. I know everyone is worried about salt, but the four in our group all added salt to our dishes. I suggest a better balance with adding a bit more salt.
Good food in a nice room. Always dependable service.
Good Food. Good service, but wi9ater never refilled ice tea glass.
A+ as always!
Very terrific food . What I have grown up my entire life. Fantastic
No very good. We did not like the food. Dessert was the only thing that was good.
We loved Frank’s! Very cool space and extremely well run. Was nice to visit a true “Operator’s” restaurant. All the little things were spot on and the staff was obviously well trained. Thanks for a great experience!
Always good, we eat there at least 3 times a month and have never not enjoyed our dinner.
The fried chicken and the BBQ shrimp are amazing! The best in Houston!
Not the first time I have eaten at Frank's. The service is always special. The wine list is out of this world. A very wide choice of foods. Will be back soon.
They do not serve bread...I guess you have to ask for it. I had gumbo and had to ask for crackers...they only had oyster crackers. Prices are high...3 of us had salads w/meat and/or gumbo plus wine. The bill was $180 incl. tip.
This is one of our favorite restaurants
I have eaten at Frank’s numerous times, enjoying the good food/service. The service this time was terrible. You would expect better from a cheddars.
Good menu, very busy so some
Came out cold, and undercooked but that's what you get on New Year's eve.
We went to Frank's with a party of 6 - friends visiting us from Mexico. Everyone had a great time, and we had two waiters attending to us - one of which was bilingual which was both helpful and appreciated. The food was amazing - hearty with generous proportions and well prepared. They made special accommodation for my gluten free girlfriend - also appreciated! The bread pudding for dessert was out of this world.
Frank's is a must stop for chicken fried steak for our Nothern family and friends... THE BEST!!!
