Frankie's Jazz Club
The best venue in Vancouver to hear jazz and Cory is a treasure for finding this
perfect venue for his groups.Food, service and ambience are all great and I
look forward to many more musical events at your wonderful restaurant and
music venue. I hope you can stay open through the current virus scare .
We really enjoyed our evening at Frankie's. The food was really tasty and the entertainment was great.
Great place, food, etc.. highly recommended for a fun Friday night.
We went to a concert and dinner always fun place to see live music and enjoy good food
Having dinner and staying to see a show is a great evening out. Frankie's is always energetic and the service is very good.
Maya Rae put on an amazing show despite all the uncertainty of COVID-19. Bravo to Frankie’s.
Great music! I was there for the Atira fundraiser March 8 2020 (thank you for hosting this great event, Frankie's) and the music was super. The food was yummy (caprese salad and Boscaiola made in house), and fresh. The fresh foccacia was yummy. The drink of the day was a proseco - very nice. Erica my server was fantastic; she was attentive and friendly, yet did not rush me. Ambiance is fantastic, especially with live beautiful music!
Great evening out. The food was the big surprise. Just excellent. And great jazz, of course.
Great food, Service & Jazz. I ordered Lasagna........ They offered ground rules for sophisticated jazz listeners. "NO loud talking, listen to the music or leave."
I liked it, but I reserved a table online in the restaurant, but they didn’t note that and I had to sit at the bar. Music was very good, and good ok.
Was pleasantly surprised by this place. Music was great. Pepperoni pizza was delicious. Risotto was surprisingly yummy. Service was really good at the beginning but fell half way through. I was without a glass of wine for at least 20 minutes. Bad move. The only way I can describe it: our server went missing, twice. Had to ask another server for our bill at the end of the night. Heads up: your cover charge is added on to food bill. You will most likely tip on it if you don't notice. Ask for Different bill for cover charge.
This was a return to the Atira Strong Women Strong Music event. It gets better each year.
The music was outstanding. Frankie's is a great venue. The service was excellent -ambience as well. We lucked in with the half-price wine as well. Will definitely be recommending this place.
For lovers of live music, and great food this is one of the traditional supper clubs around supporting Local musicians as well as international.
The jazz music was fabulous, the food mediocre, and the service exceptional.
As students, we aren't treated the same as other patrons. We often have to ask our waitress if we can order, and we always have to ask for bread, water, etc. Even when we did ask for bread we were not brought olive oil and balsamic vinegar along with it.
Chicken Marsala very good. Wed half-price wines .... a great deal. The music was fantastic. That night, parking was cheap, because no other events happening in the area.
This was my second time here, after I fell in love with both jazz and this club last week. The talent and passion are equally impressive, I plan to be back many times in the future. The food, service and drinks are all great as well. Whether you’re a jazz lover or just want to have a good time with some great music and food, you should definitely check the place out!
Good venue. Great music . Mostly older crowd but younger people as well. Was only able to book online up to 8:00pm and as we were seeing a hockey game beforehand which made it impossible to arrive before 10:00pm. Will definitely go again.
As always a great night. Good music and food .
Fantastic place! Cory Weeds Quartet was fabulous! Our waitress was great! Food was good. We will be back.
It was unpleasant discovery that bartender didn't make Negroni with correct/proper ingredients. Jazz was great like always.
Service was ideal. 5 stars for our waitress. Seats were close to the stage with nice sightlines. My chair wasn't comfortable and seemed to compound the issue l have with my back. Only ordered appies, dessert and drinks. Fried risotto balls were well cooked but virtually tasteless. Dylan Farmer' trio was terrific. I left with mixed feelings, though because without buying a single entree and just five appetizers, l left $300 lighter than when l arrived.
Very good food, friendly staff and the music was nice. My husband and I had a great time.
We had a wonderful evening with great jazz, amazing ambience and superb service! I’m so grateful Vancouver has such a gem! Looking forward to spending lots of jazz evenings here!
I always love going to Frankie’s to enjoy the perfect combo of a good meal and amazing jazz! We always try to go early so we can order easily and eat in advance, then sit back to enjoy the show with a glass of wine.
Both my husband and I have tricky food allergies and sensitivities, and the staff work really hard to make a great meal for us that meets our needs. We warn them in advance, and they often think about options/adaptations before we arrive, which is amazing! St
Staff are great, food is yummy, and we always love the music.
We enjoyed our visit at Frankie’s. They were very accommodating preparing a vegan dish for me which was amazing! We had the best seat in the house, we loved the music and even met a couple of new people that gave us suggestions where to visit in Vancouver since we were from Seattle. Thank you for making our evening enjoyable!
We enjoyed the music, but sadly the food was a big disappointment! I ordered the Bacon Cheese Burger and it came with NO bacon or cheese. My husband had the chicken club, very bland no flavour, we have had better food in a fast food restaurant. The waiter Tim was excellent, very attentive and apologetic, however I was only given a choice of a dessert which I did not want or a discount on the burger for the mistake in my order. I took the discount, it was only $4.95, they should have taken the whole amount off of the bill for such a terrible mistake in making a burger. Oh well, we still like going there and will again, but we will have drinks next time and pass on the food.
The kitchen prepared the Ahi tuna really well. Crusted outside and just barely warm inside- so tender and tasty.
We came for the New Orleans jazz. Such a great show that night; we hope that this band is back!
Delicious food and drinks, lovely ambiance. Very romantic
Music was great, food/service good as ever. Being regular patrons, it would be great if the menu was changed up a bit or more than 2 specials available. Outstanding musicians that deserve audience respect ( silence) when requested.
When I arrived, the hostess didn’t know I had requested a specific table. In fact, she didn’t know I wanted a table, and offered me a seat at the bar. I told her i wanted a table, and she offered me one in the bar. I would think if I requested a specific table and It was previously reserved, I would be assigned to a nearby table.
Fun times, great music!
Good food, good service , outstanding entertainment, however the piped music before and between sets was much too loud, making conversation very stressful. We asked to have turned down a bit but this was not done.
I enjoyed the dinner. Very Yummy. Music was a bit loud. I expected a more quieter atmosphere.
Didn't like being stuck as a single guest by the front door.
An amazing place for live jazz. Top notch musicians from around the world, excellent food and the best service in town. Highly recommended!
We love coming to Frankie's, we go often. It's the best Jazz bar in Vancouver if you want a true Jazz experience with very reputable bands. The service is always flawless. Will be back again for our 100th time very soon!
Saturday date night with my husband. Great seats for the entertainment. Music was so good, service couldn’t be better. Mushroom soup huge
Another great night at Frankies. Great band and atmosphere.
Patrons 2 tables away were more interested in talking than listening. Had to ask the server to tell them to keep it down.
