Franco's Ristorante is the perfect combination of old world Italian classics and your new favorite pasta dishes. We've been around for over 27 years and have perfected our craft. Some of our most famous dishes include whipped ricotta tuffo, sausage and peppers, eggplant parmigiana and gnocchi.
Our great food and atmosphere helped us earn the honor of being named the Chicago Reader's 2016 "best place for a cheap date" and "best local restaurant."
You will be wowed when you step inside our bright, airy and modern restaurant. You can enjoy a drink at our new marble-topped bar or cozy up to tables with bright red-leather chairs and banquettes in the dining room. In the summer we are happy to offer outdoor seating that allows dogs.
Our second visit and every bit as good as the first. Terrific servers and fresh, homemade Italian recipes. So good!!
Franco’s is a Neighboors gem!
Went out for a birthday dinner.
Excellent food and fast service.
We had the risotto of the day plus the shrimp fra diavlo. Both excellent.
Wait staff is very friendly.
Food was great. We enjoyed everything ordered but they need a dehumidifier. The large duct over our table was sweating and dropping condensation on our table. A staff member addressed the problem by sweeping a towel on a broom on the duct overhead - yes, right above our table as we sat there.
food is always delicious & fresh! Best tiramisu in town!
Food was excellent. Service was excellent. Love this restaurant
Love this neighborhood spot...our go to for great Italian food and service.
Awesome hidden gem in Bridgeport.
Service and food were great! It is a small , warm and inviting, space. There were clearly regulars in there and they gave the space a lot of energy. But honestly, I felt like our service was just as good as the service and attention I observed being given to the regulars. I tried Bucatini and my mom had Veal Marsala and we both ate EVERY SINGLE BITE. It was that good. And then we had desserts and also ate EVERY SINGLE BITE. This space is good for families, dates, groups of friends. I can't wait to go back!
Food is always great. Service is great and everyone is very friendly
Always delicious and always reliable, and just a great place for good Italian
Nice local place to enjoy a good meal👍 Staff is very nice and easy to reach by car or bus.
Second time at Franco's and once again it was great. Told my wife about Franco's after my first time and made reservations from Ottawa, Canada to make sure we got a table. We were happy for making the effort.
The calamari and bread were delicious. The shrimp/pasta and sea bass dishes were cooked just right. Unfortunately, didn't have room for dessert. Next time!
Food always good just not the best service this time around but that can happen.
Great pasta dishes
Food and service was excellent. Waiter suggested several dishes and they were very good. nice family place. Will return. Bill
One of my favorite restaurants in Chicago. The food is great and a super value
Awesome food and service. Great wine selection and wonderful desserts
Noise level is very high, and very tight spaces, but with that said, everything else was 5 stars. The food makes you want to come back for more. Servers were very attentive. Reasonably priced.
Good Food and Great Service.
The has some really great items on it.
Went here for lunch for the first time and was very pleasantly surprised. What a gem! Very quaint restaurant with good ambiance not to mention fantastic food! Wait staff super attentive! Will go here again soon!!
Love this restaurant. All homemade pastas and they are delicious. The gnocchi is to die for. Friendly people and wonderful service. If I could go to dinner there every night, I would. Outstanding.
The restaurant always offers excellent service, wonderful food and a very pleasant atmosphere.
Great job! Keep up the good work!

Service is great and I can’t say enough about the food. Everything I have eaten here is delicious.
The veal Marsala was perfect! The service impeccable. The libations were thirst quenching. The company entertaining. A five star night! Highly recommended!
Awesome meal and service as always!
Amazing food and very friendly staff.
Really good Italian food and service, easy to get to with easy parking
Our family has been dining at Franco’s for many years. The food is consistently excellent, the service attentive and overall the atmosphere just feels like home. Always top notch.
We had an amazing experience. Highly recommended!
First time, the menu has sevark pastas
Chicken fish veal- vegetables
So after narrowing down our choices, we asked our server (Ashley)to describe the items on our list. I went with the giant rigatoni’s
Simmered in grandmas gravy with the shredded beef— omg the flavor 😋
My wife selected the stuffed raviolis
And the cheese stuffing and texture of the pasta was amazing. We shared an order of meatballs that were delicious a wonderful compliment to our pasta. Finished with homemade tiramisu-that was the bomb
Our server Ashley c was Fantastic
Will definitely be back
Fabulous as usual!!!! Food and service excellent!!
I've already recommended this to a friend because the food was great, and liked the ambiance. The setting of the tables, and chairs though were way to close to each other so forget about having a private conversation. I took a woman there on our first date, first time being there for the both of us. We both felt like we were breaking the ice with everyone near us including the cooks that were DIRECTLY behind my date in the kitchen visible through a window. So don't do a first date here. Everything as I said is crowded and felt like sitting in a Steak n Egger. Not fair for the excellent food, and service.
Cozy atmosphere. Very good Italian food at reasonable prices. Service was excellent. Will go back to when in the area and want a good restaurant to eat at.
We haven’t been to Franco’s in a number of years but the food and service did not disappoint. Our waitress came to our table a number of times asking if we needed anything. It’s not often we have such an attentive wait staff anymore. Franco’s was GREAT!
We really enjoyed our meal here. The food was excellent overall. We started with the meatball appetizer and the grilled calamari appetizer. The meatballs were outstanding. The calamari was also good, but it could have used a bit more seasoning and the addition of more dressing would have improved the dish. We had the sea bass with tomatoes and white beans and the risotto with scallops. Both were very good. We finished with a huge piece of tiramisu that was also delicious. The service was very good throughout the meal. Overall, a great place to have dinner!
This just seems like a long-popular traditional Italian Restaurant. Our drinks were good, salad was good and we both got a specialty of the house: Chicken Giardinara, which was great.
