While our dinner menu is dominated by seafood, you'll also find vegetarian and non-seafood options such as roasted chicken and pan-seared steak. Lunches here are fast and fresh, with plenty of healthy options. Think grilled salmon salads, homemade seafood soups and chowders, fish tacos and oyster Po’boys.
My husband and I had a memorable (in the positive sense) dining experience at Franco's Pescheria. Our server was attentive, informative and cheerful; and the fresh seafood dishes were exquisite! We particularly marveled over one of our appetisers -- Calamari Fritti -- which was remarkably tender and in the lightest, crispest batter we have tasted. The Blackened Grouper and Swordfish (broiled) were delicious and done to perfection. Grilled fresh seasonal vegetables were a lovely complement to our meal. Portions were very generous! The only potential downside I would mention is that the noise level was quite high -- we went on a Saturday night, so the restaurant was close to capacity. It may be quieter during the week. But, as my husband noted, "The food is SO delicious who wants to be distracted by a conversation, anyway! We can't wait to go back!!!
Hawaiian fish was delightful. Light & flaky. We were able to choose prep & had 2 sauces on the side to try with the fish.
I was there once before and loved it ! Brought two friends to celebrate a birthday. They thought the food and atmosphere was amazing!,,
Recommended by a friend and the food was outstanding. As first timers the waitress did a great job of discussing all the fish options. So many great choices we will have to go back soon.
First time here. Service was great, as was the food. We’ll definitely be back.
It’s always a special night at Franco’s!
Top notch drinks, perfect food, delightful people.
Another Fresh, Friendly, Fran-tastic evening!)
Suggest to everyone. We will be returning often!
We are somewhat regulars at Franco's. Been going there since they opened a couple years back. The fish is exceptional and perfectly cooked every time we go. Highly recommended.
We had an great dinner at Franco's. My scallop risotto was amazing, but my husband's order of the Fresh Catch from the Case - he chose Opah, seared with butter and topped with an espresso chili rub - was incredible. Our server Fran was great and super helpful choosing a wine to pair with our meals and even helped us warm up some baby food for our 9 month old son. Overall a lovely night out.
We have been to Franco’s a number of times and was a bit disappointed this time. It took awhile to get waited on and then the crab cakes and calamari were not as good as usual. Pasty and a bit undercooked. One piece of calamari was so chewy that it was inedible. The grouper was excellent as usual and I was glad to see they have J Winery Pinot Noir. Delicious!
First time there, will go back again. Everything was very fresh.
Delicious as always and very attentive service too!!
Great service and food
This was our second time at Franco’s. We had a wonderful experience the first time. This time I ordered the fish stew. It was very disappointing. The description says it comes with a broth and cream. The amount of liquid was minuscule at the best. The seafood was dry and over cooked . The crab legs came un cracked and needed to be sent back to the kitchen. Our fries were not seasoned properly. My husbands tuna was cooked properly. I will be back for the lobster roll, but afraid to try something new.
Glenda, I am sorry to hear about your experience, especially after I personally came to your table and inquired about your meal and saw that the crab legs needed to be split a bit more. If you had told me when I talked to you that you did not think the food was fantastic, we would have been happy to replace the meal or get you something new without question. In the future please do not hesitate to let us know you are unhappy; we will not hesitate to make it right. Thanks Franco.
Wonderful as always!! Black cod is fabulous!! Lobster mac ‘n cheese is scrumptious! Fran is always a terrific server!!
Really, really terrific food, setting, great concept and execution— meeting a real need outside the city!
Overall my sandwich was really good but I probably won't go back. The waitress or kitchen screwed up our order and it was not handled very well (they ran out of the fish that was ordered and made no accommodation for the mistake). The salads were good but drowning in dressing. The prices were higher than average and the atmosphere average. I may go back and try them for lunch and get all dressings/sauces on the side.
Ms. hood, I am sorry you felt that we did not accommodate properly you for the kitchen inadvertently putting the sauce on your plate instead of on the side. I am also sorry that we ran out of the fish you ordered originally; as we only bring in so much each day to ensure the freshest quality. We did attempt to make it right by crediting your original order. I will work with my staff to ensure things like this do not happen in the future. Thank you for your business.
Food was was quite good.Love the Nantucket scallops.Love the anchovies plain without the pesto.
we came out to see Paul Allodi play. We were about 30 feet from where he was playing and could barely hear him. Food was good. Waitress was very nice. Management was helpful and available. We came out on a Thursday, very nice time. We will come back when Paul plays again.
The owner Frank is great! Came to the table a few times to check on food. Lobster rolls were wonderful and packed with lobster!! I highly recommend the beet and burrata salad!!
Great experience and so close to home. Perfect.
Nothing short of perfect! Love the staff love the food!!
Favorite place for fish...ever
The food was Awesome good portions very fresh. The Lobster tacos and crab cakes were so good we wanted more Everything was great. Fran our server was attentive while she had many tables she kept coming to check on us. We will be back.
Great food and service!!!
We have been here several times. Franco's is the place to go for fish.
This was the first time my husband and I visited Franco's, although it is relatively close to our home. We were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary, and craving lobster rolls, so I googled "lobster rolls near me" and Franco's came up. It had received good reviews, so we thought we would give it a try. I reserved a table online, and wrote that we were celebrating a special occasion. Franco's was wonderful! The service was friendly and great, the rolls were DELICIOUS! and upon discovering we were celebrating our 30th, the owner treated us to a yummy dessert and an aperitif. We enjoyed the background music and the attentiveness of the staff. We will definitely recommend Franco's to our friends!
Great food. Great value . Fresh food. Just wish staff was a little more knowledgeable with the menu.
After buying fresh fish from Franco since he was in the former location, we have dined twice at the restaurant. We have been impressed both times. This is a hidden gem and, while selfishly I hope it doesn’t become too crowded, it is definitely some place to try when you are in the area.
Franco was personable and checked in with us at our table, and our server Lily was very attentive. Seafood was awesome! We plan to return!
Service was a bit slow. Everything else was fine.
Our order took a long time. When it finally came, my husband’s salmon wasn’t cooked, my martinis were sour, my daughter’s scallops were not cooked. Had to ask several times for water. My 2nd martini which I ordered when my meal came, did not come until we were all done with dinner, so I didn’t even drink it, but was charged for it.
We’ve never had a bad experience here before, but everything was bad this time. I’m hoping it was just an off night.
Sandy, I am very sorry that you had this experience, we were using a new Point of Sale system that we just started with that week; however that is no excuse. I really wish that you had reached out to me while you were here I would have gladly made things right. I hope you will give us another chance and please let me know when you come in so I can ensure that the service and food are to your satisfaction. Thanks Frank
Food is always delicious.
Really fresh, awesome seafood. The oysters and copper river salmon were incredible.
Good food and good service. Lily is our favorite
Never again! We have sent dozens of people to this restaurant. Today, service was awful and slow. Food was watery and bland. Additionally, wine was $16 per glass. So a dinner for three was $300. Crazy! This is a restaurant in a strip mall in the suburbs , with mediocre food. Are you kidding me!!! Never again! I feel like you stole from me. Disgraceful! D&J Bistro is right across the street. Better food and a better value.
We are truly sorry. No guest should ever feel this disappointed. But it seems strange to hear you suggest your bill amounted to robbery. Our prices are printed plain as day on our menu; entrées from $18-$38, glasses of wine from $8-$16. As for the "watery" food and "awful" service, I wish you’d brought this to my attention that night, when I asked. I would have bent over backwards to make it right.
Everything was wonderful!! Our server Francesca was explained all the entries we asked about. She was attentive but not annoying. The shrimp bisque was amazing and I had the Sea Bass special that was delicious!! Nice job!!
Always fabulous! If you haven’t eaten here you’re missing out!!
I was at dinner with girl friends, always like this place but is bit pricey. When I got my grilled fish it was totally under cooked. I asked them to put it back on the grill, which they did. The fish was not that great so I told the waitress I was not happy, She asked if I wanted a replacement and I ordered another type of fish which was really good. When I got my bill I noticed that they did not charge me for my fish, I told the waitress that it was nice but to go ahead charge me anyways. She said it was on the house. On my way out, I talked to the owner and he said he wanted to make things right. I will return because of his great customer service! Just a few things I would change, the menu is confusing and they didn't have the fresh fish listed, the waitress had to tell you. Also, their desserts could be much better, when you pay $10 for small dessert it should be fantastic.
Once again again a fantastic dining experience! Had a new kind of fish- palino, a Hawaiian snapper. Yummy! Shrimp bisque was delicious, salad very tasty and chocolate truffle covered gelato ball was totally decadent! Can’t wait to return!!
Excellent fresh fish. Great atmosphere and service
Excellent food, service and ambiance! Frank, the owner stopped by our table 2 times. First time and we will be going back!
