   food was good but had hard time dealing with our health issues. I cannot have sodium in anything. I found a lot of your food is made before hand, not to order. my daughter has celiac. we were celebrating her birthday. The waiters came out to sing and gave her a scoop of ice cream with a candle. However, they apologized as they have no gluten free desserts! How difficult is it to get gluten free ice cream? I buy it all the time and county fair, jewel, etc.

   I was seated immediately, and my server introduced himself. The only thing that I can say is that I absolutely love this cozy little place. Definitely a gem on the southside. I’m sad I never heard of it before that day. Please don’t listen to the reviews complaining about the noise level. These are just families and friends enjoying each other’s company.    First time diner. Two adults and a child. Very nice experience! All of our meals were delicious and the service was fantastic. Our waiter was attentive without being bothersome. He made a friend in our 5 year old lol. Definitely recommended and we will return. If there was one thing that wasn't 5 star, it would be the house wine. Both the cab and the Merlot (maybe Malbec) were pretty sweet. But the old fashioned was👍🏽👍🏽

   We have been to Franconello’s many times over the years and have very much enjoyed the food and service. Tonight was different. We arrived on time for our 7:30 reservation and we were seated after a couple of minutes. After 20 minutes a server asked us to move to a different table so that he could move the table to accommodate a larger party. That was the only contact we had with any server. No one came to bring water, take a drink order, or to tell us they would be with us soon. After 30 minutes we left. If I could leave a zero star rating, I would. Very disappointing.

   Our whole experience was over and beyond our expectations. From the valet gentleman by the front door, even though we did not valet, he found us a spot for our large vehicle. Drinks before reservation at the bar were fantastic. Service and food were perfect! We were not rushed at all. They brought a complimentary desert for my husband, I didn't have to say anything, they had info from the reservation. We were extremely happy!

   Their food is always delicious. My Negroni was especially good. Would love if the music was geared more to light jazz or Italian to improve the ambience and over all experience.

    We arrived early and was seated within 5 minutes. That was great. The Hostess gave us the Parmesan Cheese and Oil but no bread. Our waiter, who didn’t tell us his name by the way, gave us water and them walked away. We were 2 African American older females trying out this restaurant for the 1st time. It was very loud. We could not have a conversation because we could not hear each other and we were sitting across from each other. Anyway, I had to ask for bread. He took our our for drinks and appetizers. A couple came in after us and sat next to us. He seemed more attentive to them. We finally got our food and the couple, who had maybe been sitting down for about 15 minutes, got their food at the same time. He never asked us if we needed anything or if everything was ok. He didn’t ask if we wanted dessert. I had to tell him to give us dessert to go. He gave us the check so I decide to give a certain amount to I could get a solid $10 back so I could give him a nice tip. He gave me my change back and said “We don’t take change” I don’t believe her knew what type of change I would get back. Anyway, I always tip 20% or more. I still gave him more than 20% and the service was subpar. I looked over at tue couple that was seated after us and I say they gave him less of a tip them us. I’m this day and age, I should not be making this a black and white thing. I dine out often and I like to try different restaurants. Francello’s is located in the area where I live. I drive past it everyday and decide to take my mother for dinner. I don’t think I will be visiting again.

    6:00pm on a busy Friday night, super loud...VERY difficult to have a conversation. We ordered entrees when drink order was delivered, and once we ordered (2 simple pasta dishes, 1 sausage & peppers) it took FOREVER to be served: Had to ask the waitress to check on our order as we had plans. Never came to check on us, or refill water...tho she did refill one coke without being asked & was pleasant about refilling the very tasty oil/cheese combo that goes with their nice, crusty bread. The sausage& peppers entree was very good, but had time to only eat a bit before boxing it up. In hindsight we should have told the server we had a time deadline, but it was still VERY slow/unattentive service.

    The food and service were very good. The atmosphere was nice but very dark - made it hard to read the menus. Overall a nice restaurant and if it weren't so far away, I would return. I would recommend this place to anyone who lives closer than the 45 miles drove to meet an old friend who had come to town.

    As usual the food was outstanding. Always can count on a delicious meal. But this time was rushed out the door. Small group of friends who had not seen each other in a long time meeting for dinner and we were rushed every step of the way, including when paying our check. When we didn’t put money/credit card out to pay, the waiter actually looked at his watch. There were empty tables and no one waiting for a table. Supported this restaurant and others during COVID by ordering carry out quite often. And now restaurants want us to come back in but don’t stay too long. Ironic.

    Ordered chicken oreganato. The bread was good. The salad was good. My main dish comes out and the sauce and potatoes were good. The chicken was awful. It was definitely not made to order. Did not taste freshly made. Told the waiter and all he said was that he would let the chef know. No offer of a discount on the bill or a free dessert. So basically $23.00 for sauce and potatoes. Will we go back? Nah. Pass.

    The Food was Very Good. The Room was a Little Noisy! We would definitely go back! Service was Great. Love the Eggplant Parmesan. Large portions. Arugula salad was a little pricey for what you got. Steak was Good!

    Our food and service were great, but a bereavement brunch took over the restaurant 30 minutes into our meal and my friend and I felt it was time to go. Not the lunch experience I had hoped for. Maybe don’t take reservations (which we had) if a big party is expected.

    We love Franconello's and have come here on and off for several years now. It's a treat for us. The food is always excellent and the portions are pretty generous. The remodeled exterior and entry way are lovely. We sat downstairs so we did not see the newly remodeled enclosed rooftop. Last night they seemed a little short staffed and they were very busy. We had reservations at 6:15 but we were not seated until almost 6:45. Our hostess was genuinely apologetic for that. Our waiter Lupe was really great, but he was extremely busy. He was still attentive in spite of that, but just a bit harried. We are looking forward to our next meal and hope that Franconello's can get some more wait staff.

    We all enjoyed getting together for a night out! Alex was a gem of a waiter! He was patient with us, as we were enjoying catching up and eating our appetizer! We finally ordered dinner and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal!Our beverages were tasty as well and same goes for our desserts!

    Hate to write a poor review, but also hate to have a poor experience. Booked this reservation about 2 weeks in advance only to be sat in what felt like a makeshift dining room upstairs next to a drafty door that kept opening. We ordered appetizers about 10 min into being seated then our waiter never came back again. Our appetizers (which we saw were attempted to 2 other tables before it was realized they were for our table) came after about 40 min, we ate, they were cleared from the table, still no waiter. No one came to refill our waters either. An hour had passed from when we initially sat and we realized it would still at be another hour until we would eventually eat (assuming we’d be able to finally place our order). We had to wave our hand to flag down the waiter to in order to get his attention, which was unsuccessful so the busser stepped in, and we requested the check leaving without having our meal. This was super disappointing given it was an early dinner reservation for a reason as I am 6 months pregnant.

    I live in the neighborhood, so I have been to this restaurant many times. This is unfortunately the worst experience I have had. Most restaurants are under staffed these days so it common and understandable for servers to be overwhelmed. That said or service was particularly bad. The server seemed like we were an inconvenience to him. I wish I could reference him by name but he didn’t tell us. To start, we never received our appetizers before our entrees arrived. When we told him, he just shook his head and walked away, not even an apology. He never asked if we wanted our drinks refilled, and when we finally got his attention he looked visibly angry and upset. When the bill came the appetizers were still on it and rather than just taking it of the bill his solution was to have us take it to go. After insisting we didn’t want it, and waiting another 10 minutes for him ti fix it, he finally took it off. He still never apologized for anything. We could have overlooked all of the mistakes but there was no excuse for the servers terrible attitude.
