Our Executive French Chef was born in Brive, France, schooled and classically trained in the southwest of France, considered the gastronomic region.
He has thoughtfully created a plentiful, three-course menu with several choices of appetizers, entrees and homemade desserts.
Chef also prepares daily specials and Italian specialties, including Escargot, Grilled Octopus, Soft Shell Crab, Breast of Duck, Veal Chop, Grilled Lobster & Dover Sole Grenobloise. Chef uses only the freshest and finest of ingredients. All of his dishes are made to order and he accommodates any palate, including gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan.

We went to dinner to celebrate a family birthday. The restaurant is quaint and decorated nicely. The tables were spaced appropriately. Service was prompt, efficient and courteous. Portions were adequate, not over the top. We enjoyed the three course prizes fix menu which had a dish to suit every taste, beef, pork, fish, etc. The escargot, duck and flan that I chose were absolutely delicious. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meals and the consensus was that Frances is a restaurant we will visit again.
Great night out. Food was very tasty and nicely prepared. We enjoyed our meals of Beef Bourguignon and Veal Tenderloin Medallions. Service was very good. Will be back again.
We had a wonderful experience dining under the stars. Our food was delectable and choices were far from everyday!!Service was friendly. We think this may have been our best dining experience! And we are fussy

We were not aware when booking there was indoor and outdoor dining. Nothing was mentioned when I spoke to them to confirm our reservation either. They had reserved us for outdoor diving...which we were not aware of and as it was windy, cool and rain was expected not something we wanted. We asked for indoor seating. A request that was declined which was frustrating, especially for the cost. The reservation process should absolutely be amended to clarify indoor vs outdoor or this should be noted when they call to confirm.

Another fantastic evening of fine dining at Francis! From appetizers through desserts, everything we ate was divine, highlighted by the veal chop special and of course the year drop dessert. We will be back again soon.
When we arrived the hostess seemed surprised even though we had a confirmed reservation. The tent and also the inside lack any character whatsoever. Just blah. The waitress was a cute nice little girl and tried hard. But the entrees were just terrible. I had wanted the orata but they were out and i had bronzino which i have everywhere. I understand that they cannot control the market and that is fine, but i received one side of the small filleted fish. It was a small fish to start with and yet only half.
My wife had the black squid ink pasta which she described as overly salty. Seems that salt was added to an already naturally salty dish as it had all sorts of shellfish on that was salted over.
A very very disappointing experience. Not my first time at a restaurant as we eat out quite often and this was not even close to fine dining. Very lackluster. The only saving grace was the ice cream shop next door.

This was the first time we dined at Francis and was extremely disappointed. The reviews sounded so good we had to try it. We went for the three course dinner. I had the veal chop for $75 and my boyfriend had the duck for $68. The food was good but way overpriced.
There was one wait staff person taking care of the whole place and eventually the owner started working the tables who was dressed for the kitchen. It was complete chaos cell phones ringing off the hook disorganized a total lack of ambience. They should of comped us the $8 cup of cappuccino at least.

Friends recommended Francis' and I'm glad they did. This husband and wife duo really know what good food and good service is about. The restaurant is charmingly intimate and sets the stage for the delights to come. Our meals reflected the impeccable freshness and quality of ingredients Chef Francis is known for, as well as his exquisite preparation. Each dish was a delectable balance of taste and texture with a beautiful presentation. Debra, Francis' wife, manages the dining room with proficiency and cordiality. You know Debra truly welcomes you, and takes time explain the menu. Francis' menu is seasonally based and includes specialties of the day.
The food & presentation was outstanding. The portions were a nice size and the price fixe menu was a plus. Will definitely be returning often & adding this to our top 3 restaurants on LBI.

From the moment you walk in and get greeted with warmth and welcome by the hostess to the waiter who is very attentive to our questions to the presentation of our orders. The best is yet to come when the pure enjoyment of the meal is finally at hand. No disappointments at all. Great experience to find quality dining on lbi.
This restaurant punches far above its weight. A relative hole in the wall behind an italian deli ( same owners) churns out uniformly terrific French- inspired food. Plus its byo and $50 price fixed, with some supplements. A combination that's hard to beat.

Love this restaurant. A hidden gem on LBI
My girlfriend and I were waited on by the owner, she was awesome. She gave us great insight to the menus. We go out often and often to five star restaurants, Francis in my opinion is a five-star restaurant even during this pandemic. The food start to finish was absolutely excellent, we plan to go back very soon.
Especially during the pandemic this was a great place to dine because of excellent service and food.

Food and service exceptional. Unfortunately, there was a large and very loud party next to us. We were unable to carry on a conversation due to this. We understand that this was not the fault of the restaurant. Some people are just so caught up their own selves that they become very inconsiderate and rude.
We will definitely try Francis’ again as the food was fantastic..it will help when we can sit inside too!
Very good, well-prepared food with a European flair. Service was very good and the restaurant did a nice job of providing ambiance in their outdoor dining area in the midst of coronavirus restrictions.

The food is always excellent and beautifully presented. Sitting outside because of COVID is actually quite pleasant. We find the menu selections always interesting, not the usual ones you find at most restaurants. The chocolate teardrop dessert is special.

Wonderful outdoor dining site. When it started to rain, the tables were moved while still maintaining social distance. Food was excellent. Bread was offered with first course. Overall, enjoyable evening.
