Halasz, who was raised in the South of France amidst the bounty of simple and soulful cuisine draws inspiration from his birthplace. FRANCINE is a spirited and loving homage to days spent in the sun and amongst gatherings around beautiful meals hosted by his mother Francine Halasz. Everything on my mother’s table was fresh, seasonal, and full of flavor, and that is exactly what FRANCINE will offer our guests.

They were out of MULTIPLE things on the menu (more than 6 items). We kept selecting items only to be told, “oh sorry we’re out of that” Seriously, how can a French restaurant be out of Salade Niçoise? Anyway, service was slow and restaurant was so loud we couldn’t carry on a conversation. Probably busy since it was Father’s Day. But not sure we will go back.
The service was excellent. The food was delicious. The use of various herbs and seasonings made our meal selections very interesting.
OVERpriced, especially the dover sole, and UNDERwhelmed
We went to Francine for Father's Day. The ambiance is nice and the space is beautiful, and our server was excellent and attentive. Our starters were generous and tasty, but nothing over the top special. My son got a side of the ratatouille to start and it was very good. My son and I both got the pasta with bone marrow which was delicious except the pasta was overcooked. My husband got the steak frites which was a small portion and nothing special. Our dessert was delicious. Prices are high, wine by the bottle is over the top, and the lack of nearby parking other than valet is kind of a turn-off. That said, I think we would definitely give it another try.
Great food and ambiance …. An early dinner for the best Dad!
Fantastic brunch experience! Couldn't have been better. Everything was delicious and unique.
The food was not very good. Cold fries and the bread for the tartine was so hard and stale it was inedible. Service wasn’t very good considering it wasn’t very busy.
The Staff was wonderful. The food was very good. Muscles are a must.
I took my parents to this place last night. The restaurant decor and location were great. I have to say the service was scattered. They did not bring our starters out at the same time. The soup came a good 15 min before the other starters came out. The bone marrow was tiny and over salted. The service was very slow and water was a constant requests. Main courses were soso really nothing to rave about. Was nice to be able and experience this place but we don’t think we will be in a huge rush to come back.
We love this place. Just discovered it less than 2 weeks ago, and we have already come back and will come back again. Great cocktails & wine, and everything we have tasted so far has been excellent -- Eggplant mezza, Branzino under salt, Poulet Roti, Duck... And very attentive service.
It’s always a pleasure dining at Francine. The cuisine is always delightful. Service is impeccable. Look forward to it each and every time.
We very much enjoyed Francine except for 2 things. 1 - Given the price-point of the restaurant, I would have assumed that the waitstaff would have boxed leftover items for us rather than throw (yes, they threw them on the table) plastic containers on the table for us to box food ourselves. 2- $160 for "market price" Dover sole. The dish was very good, but I'm not sure ANY Dover sole would be worth $160, and the server never mentioned the price when we were ordering. The ambiance was great - noise level was a bit high but not so much that you couldn't hear people at your own table. I would recommend Francine, but caution diners to make sure they ask about market prices.
The food was delicious and our server was excellent. Not too chatty and not to aloof.
PROS: The food is excellent! Each dish had a slight twist that made it unique and enjoyable. Classic French dishes were excellent! Nice portions - not too small, not oversized.
The decor is bright and relaxed, not stuffy or dark.
CONS: Bring your ear plugs!! That "energetic" vibe is just plain LOUD. The hostess at check-in was un-hearable and our table conversation and with our server had to be repeated and repeated. This is not "fun and lively," this is hearing damage. I have to wonder if OSHA knows about this as a workplace issue. And the formatted music track is 80s/90s, not contemporary.
The restaurant is new-ish, and our server (or the bartenders) muffed a drink order of a French classic and she should have noticed the discrepancy by appearance alone. Lack of training and/or experience. Not a huge issue, but at their prices (definitely not low!), the service staff should match the altitude of the prices.
Music too loud had to yell at each other to have conversation
Place is always amazing!!
Still the best burger in town and my favorite restaurant
This is quite the gem. All staff was very pleasant and the food was great. Many wonderful options!
Amazing service, atmosphere and food
We had such a wonderful experience at Francine. Our server was very helpful without being over-attentive. The food!?! WOW! I still have an afterglow from that meal. We had the oysters and grilled octopus for our appetizer, I had the bouillabaisse and my boyfriend had the bone marrow fettucine for dinner. We chose the apple tart for dessert and it was to die for. Everything was DIVINE! Perfect spot for a special occasion or date night...I've never had a more luxurious yet comfortable evening at any other restaurant. Francine is IT!!
The service was very attentive while at the table but I always get the feeling that if I’m not ordering a lot of alcohol my table doesn’t get the same attention overall.
Wonderful menu. Delicious food. Angelo was so great to us! Highly recommend.
Still my favorite place in town
beautiful restaurant and great food. best calamari ever!
The only french restaurant with no french dishes but the “french fries”
It more an international cuisine than french.
Not the best choice for dinner in Scottsdale
Although we prefer to dine outdoors where it is quieter, we chose to eat indoors with old friends due to the heat. Unfortunately, our banquette was between the bar and the window tables, and we could not hear each other or engage in comfortable conversation.
We had a similar problem at the company's Fig & Olive West Hollywood property.
My order was mixed up and I did not get my food until my friends were half finished with theirs. And the meal was poorly presented and essentially inedible.
I did demand that the bill for me be cancelled, and the manager did comply.
I would never go to Francines again nor would I recommend it. I am a regular contributor to Trip Advisor and have written over 150 reviews. This was the most negative review I have ever written. And in reading what others wrote, I am not the only dissatisfied customer.
This restaurant has so much potential has a beautiful Bar and Kitchen The biggest problem is the service we sat for at least 20 minutes with no water or even a waiter to show up and greet us. The menu it’s really good and the food was is above average!! Scottsdale is a great foodie town not many French options in town though in this one could be a good one if they got their service lined out!!
Authentic upscale french bistro ....
Great upscale location. Good service, polite staff. As a personal note and preference, the steak tartare was too finely cut, giving it a ground beef texture. I prefer a slightly rougher cut to the meat. Overall an excellent experience and we will be returning soon.
The evening was wonderful!! The food and service were amazing . We had the lamb and scallops . It’s a beautiful place to celebrate a birthday 🎂
Absolutely love eating here. It’s beyond superb.
Lovely Saturday brunch with my bestie. Our server, Ryan, was the perfect level of attentive. Bestie had the Boursin omelet and I enjoyed the egg white frittata. Have a few food sensitivities all of which were handled seamlessly. Beautiful restaurant. French bistro at its finest.
So delicious! We went with a group of 11 for a bachelorette and we were truly impressed by the good and service. Thank you!
We had a wonderful dining experience on the patio Friday night. Our server was excellent, very attentive, and made great recommendations on the wine (a rhone region red) and our food orders. We started with the beef carpaccio then had the bone marrow pasta, halibut, and crab ravioli, all were great. We ordered the apple tart and chocolate pots de creme for dessert. We loved it all! Thank you for a great night.
Great energy spot. Food was good but our dessert was made wrong. Someone put salt into our ganache instead of sugar. No compensation for that. So sad.
The halibut was outstanding. Cannot say the same for the crab raviolis. The beef Carpaccio was so good that I wish I had two. Our waiter was wonderful and informative.
All I can say is listen to the wait staff when ordering. Trust them and not the menu.
The restaurant was beautiful & the service was good. However, I was not very impressed with the food. It was my 1st time there and don’t think I’ll be going back.
