Airy, elegant FRANCINE, which sits in the luxury wing of Scottsdale Fashion Square, exudes the charms of le midi (the south of France), homeland to celebrity chef-founder Laurent Halasz who re-creates specialties of the Mediterranean region.     Start with your drink. I had Johnny Walker Blue with a jumbo cube. Nice glass and pour. I drank my wife's champagne too. We won't talk about why she's not drinking. 😂 If you are a octopus fan, order it. We didn't have breads. I ordered filet mignon. I asked for medium well, but medium is the right order. My wife had lobster pasta. Excellent choice. I ate her leftovers. The sauce was out of the world. A bit of cream would have given it more body. Noodles seemed fresh. Everybody wants to know about dessert! Don't blame you. I had creme brulee with orange and lavender topping. I needed more pudding. A smaller but deeper bowl would do that for me. My wife had the apple tart w vanilla ice cream. I suggest fruitier ice cream. The only regret I have is I forget the name of the sweetest server we had. She just couldn't kill a fly that day. We joked around a bit. So, we will wait a while and give you guys another visit. It was our 2nd anniversary. CHEERS

    I love this restaurant but last night the food was not good. I had the mussels which were way too salty as was the shrimp. The beef carpaccio was as good as ever, but the last couple times I’ve been to this restaurant it has not been anywhere near as good as the first few times I went

    Craft cocktails are a thing of art. Inspired, wide ranging menu. Brilliant service. Elegant and romantic!

    We were there a little early, so it seemed a little on the quiet side. Not complaining, because I don't need background noise to enjoy a good restaurant, just pointing it out. The food was great, the service was personable and attentive, and the decor was on point. Being from a city that is renowned for its food culture, Francine checked all the boxes for a great experience. Whether you're a local, or visiting from out of town, don't skip it.

    This was our second visit to Francine and it did not disappoint. Our server was excellent and made a wonderful recommendation regarding a wine for our dinner. We felt very well taken care of and will definitely return.

    TLDR: for a $400 dinner for 2, I expect way better than this The lamb was a nudge overcooked within tolerance so I wouldn't complain too much about it. The smoked herb offset the overcooked hardness giving it a kind of BBQ texture so it was acceptable. I did not try the lobster pasta, but my partner complained about how over-spicy it was and did not ate the noodle at all, so thumbs down for that. (in the restaurant's defense I should've asked the chef to prepare a less spicy dish instead of me wining in the comment section but I guess too late) The Steak tartare was diabolical, the connective tissue / Tendon was not chopped fine enough so it stuck in my tooth and it was awkward to get them removed. the bread was hard as a brick and way over-charred and bitter. The waiter never asked us how was the meal, so we did not have a proper way to complain about the experience we were having, so that's why I'm whining here. The cocktail was well-balanced though, one of the better ones I had The environment was also nice, waiters were polite and friendly. Dish presentation was acceptable
