Mia Francesca features the zesty, earthy cuisine of Rome and the surrounding areas of Tuscany, Umbria, and Lazio. It was one of the first restaurants in Chicago to encourage the lively art of dining with a contemporary, casually sophisticated trattoria ambiance, simple, rustic cooking, friendly service, and fair prices.

Waiting for a table at the beautiful antique bar is part of the charm of Mia Francesca. The plush upstairs dining room and lounge can be reserved for private events, as can the more intimate coach house tucked away behind the restaurant. In the summer, al fresco dining is also available on a charming cobblestone terrace.

Service was awful! It wasn't that busy, we were outside & the wait staff was slow, we had to find him, uninterested and inefficient! We were handed off to another who wasn't much better. We had to grab someone to clear our appetizers, and then ask for our entrees which were placed on another table while our table was cleared. Dessert was served while bread and some entree dishes were still on the table. Ice cream was melted. Won't go back

Food was delicious , ambiance terrific and wait staff professional. Special kudos to Paisley, the assistant manager! She welcomed us with a smile and was so very gracious the entire evening and made us feel so comfortable. We will be back!!!

We've been a few times but are often surprised at how uneven the service is. Each time we've been, staff have outnumbered the guests, but for some reason it often takes a while for your drinks or food to arrive. Everyone is exceedingly nice, it's just strange how long it takes to get anything. The food is good, but overall the restaurant doesn't recapture the spirit of the other Francesca's locations we've visited.

Food was good, not outstanding, salads were just ok but expensive with minimal ingredients, not a wonderful dining experience but if you’re reading this try it for yourself and make your own post . BTW, the lentils salad Wes really good

We felt that we were rushed. The dinner looked nice but was very salty. There were 6 of us and while we were chatting and browsing over the menu the waiter kept asking if we were ready to order. We did order within 15 minutes after arriving.

Came in for dinner with an old friend and was not disappointed, food was absolutely delicious. We also tried the signature sangria which is a perfect summer drink. Paisley the Manager came to greet us and made us feel at home also our servers Jeff and Sisi were very attentive and knowledgeable. 10/10

Good food, drink and beautiful place for dining. Met the manager and she was exceptional. Our server was the best. I have not seen this kind of work ethic in a long time. I really commend both of them. I will definitely frequent this restaurant whether drinks and appetizers or for a full meal. It all was so good.
