FoxGardin Family Kitchen
We love this place!!!! We brought our son and parents for their first visit and they said that everything that we said was true. They loved it!
Good food bar like atmosphere good service.
This was our 3rd visit and it was better than the last two and we enjoyed out other visits. The bourbon wings are absolutely scrumptious. I had been considering the Fishers burger the last time we were here and I decided to give it a try. I think it's the best burger I've ever had. I know that peanut butter and jelly on a burger might not sound good to some, but just try it. The savory and sweet notes compliment each other and the burger itself is perfection!
The is a good value and the service is good as well. However, the noise level at times is awful.
Great service and food. Too noisy. My ears literally were hurting from the sound.
We really enjoyed this scratch kitchen’s summer menu! We found it easier to talk with our friends on the patio because it is really loud inside.
Absolutely a must try for anyone who hasn't been. The menu changes periodically with the seasons but the pretzel bread appetizer is always a must have. I've never had anything I didn't love.
Excellent service. Food was delicious. Very accommodating.
Food was very good but lukewarm temperature. Drink order came over wrong.
Great food, service was spot on. Great neighborhood feel with a wonderful meal.
We enjoyed the food and our server was excellent, but it was VERY noisy. It must be from the high ceilings, but it seemed like people were yelling. They were busy, and we sat in the dining area, but they weren't completely full. We sat next to each other so we could talk, but if we had been across the table from each other, we wouldn't have been able to hear at all
This is my favorite family restaurant in the area. The food is amazing but with a kid friendly, casual atmosphere. Slight draw back is the tables are pretty close together as they are trying to maximize the space but all-around great experience.
Awesome pies. Food mediocre.
Just very average. Fries were cold but not the end of the world. Not trying to trash this place at all! Nice people, just want the best meal for the price.
Ivy provided great service! The beer cheese was amazing, as was the beef Manhattan!
While the sandwich menu was appropriate for the ambiance, the entrees and specials were crazy expensive ($95 for a tomahawk steak) for an "Applebee's" dining environment. The service was slow at every stage. Slow to bring water and take drink orders. Slow to deliver drinks. Slow to deliver appetizer. Slow to deliver meal. Slow to deliver check. That said, my pork tenderloin sandwich and my wife's fish tacos were good, while my son's filet mignon entree was "OK" and he is easy to please with steak.
Busy father’s day, but the service was the worst I’ve had in years. 20 minutes for anyone to come to the table, 4 requests to get water, ignored by hostess when I went to get water there, delay in putting in order resulted in being out of pork chops, which is why we came.
I think the food/menu is better at the original location. We tried this one with our kids & it just wasn't as good.
Spot On! Great food and server suggestions were perfect! Chef out did himself again with Snapper Special and dessert!
Always enjoy this restaurant. The swordfish special was excellent. They also have excellent home made pies. One can not go wrong with the tenderloin sandwich and they are wine friendly.
The staff is super, very nice and attentive. We started with the meatball appetizer, very tasty and almost a meal. The special was a $46.00 Ribeye, not a good choice. The steak was not a very good cut. I ordered it medium and it was cooked so, the meat didn’t seem to be aged, as a result it was rather tough. The flavor was okay, but definitely not a good steak. The Chicken Carbonara was not too tasty either. It was bland. The noise level was really high, I mean loud. I noticed, some guest chose to eat outside. The service is excellent, our server did try to to sway us toward the tenderloin, and the fish tacos, I wish I’d listened.
Would recommend for family, as the name indicates. Was not great for 4 women for a relaxed evening. Inside was VERY noisy so we ate outside. Plastic tables and chairs so not high on comfort. Mosquitoes were an issue but with all our rain, probably can't be helped. Service was OK, not exceptional. Fish tacos were good but my order of fries were barely warm. Fresh cut fries so no doubt would have been good if hot. If server would have checked before we were done with our meals, I would have sent back. This was my first visit to Fishers location. Next time I will go back to Fortville location where service and food were excellent and small town ambiance is better than strip mall in Fishers.
Received a surprise dessert for our anniversary.
Wow...this place...in the words of Tina Turner..."simply the best, better than all the rest."
Food was good but overpriced. Tenderloin was $12 and barely fit the bun. The biscuits and gravy were tasty but $12 for two biscuits is &6 too high. Ambiance is strip mall plain and the chairs are uncomfortable. Service was good for an empty Sunday lunch uncrowd.
Bottom line: keep looking. We won’t be back.
Had great food! Highly recommend the pretzel bread 2 way and the loaded potato bites.
The tenderloin was one of the best I’ve had and the beef Manhattan was excellent.
Seated 45 minutes after our reservation. The place was full of screaming kids with parents oblivious to their children. Soup was cold. Waiter brought a new cup that was luke warm. Noise level was miserable. We are regulars here, but the dining experience has been steadily trending downward. We will no longer be regulars.
It was our 5 year anniversary.. and being almost 60 years old and starting over again in life, every special occasion is worth a celebration! The made us feel so special and took such good care of us!
Our server was excellent and the girls at the front hostess stand gave us the picture they took of us! So so fun!
Thanks for a great night, we will definitely be back making it our go to for a great night out:)
5 out of 5 stars across the board:)
Awesome family environment! The food was well prepared and delicious! The whole staff was very friendly and attentive.
Menu options were limited, but the food we ordered was very good. Great atmosphere, good service, over all a pleasurable dining experience. Would recommend, and will be back to visit.
Always amazing and delicious. One star off for ambiance because it is often full with some kids and gets pretty loud.
Love the food! Steaks run a bit expensive even if they are excellent.
My biggest complaint is the seating. Four tops are relatively small, but they will stick chairs on the ends for parties of 5 or 6. There are four full grown adults with legs under the table on the sides, that means the two at the ends are sitting away from the table with knees knocking. That setup may be acceptable at pub happy hour, but not for a nice, full length meal. They do this even if the restaurant is half empty. Makes no sense!
My fish was good. We waited for a good while for refills and my fiancé ordered side of asparagus for $4 and got exactly 3 spears.
Love FoxGardin Family Kitchen. Food is always excellent and the service was exceptional.
The Fox Gardin in Fortville is SOOOO much better. I dont think I will ever go back
to this location (Olio Rd). Too Loud, food was just ok.
The food was great and the service was good. It was extremely loud in there.
A little disappointed with the vegetables being under-cooked ( red potatoes, Brussels sprouts), lack of desserts (1 choice- cookie?), Beef Manhattan appeared to have been sitting around awhile. Overall, disappointed with this trip. Hopefully, this was just an off night.
