    The table assigned was so isolated in the corner that I was missing all the ambience. The server took forever to check on us so we had to order from other servers or assistants. I understand that it was a busy night but taking 45 minutes to get us water is just too much and OMG the washrooms were disgusting!!!!!!!. Sad cause this used to be my go to spot

    Always a wonderful place for date night. Staff remains friendly and helpful, and the calamari was perfect (i.e. no chewy bits). We'll definitely be back!

    We went with our kids before the lion king play. The food was just ok. We had the steak, chicken burger, salad and wings. Nothing to rave about. The salad was made incorrectly and sent back. There was a mistake with our appetizer (they forgot an extra piece we asked for) and the manager asked if we were all planning on having a piece). Not sure why that matters…obviously we asked for an extra piece for a reason. The music was really loud and could barely talk to people at the table. We did not feel welcome with kids there. The staff seemed a bit snobby and not “friendly with a smile”. Probably won’t be back again.

    The service was okay.. since it was a nationwide holiday, it was busy but the food took longer than we expected. Well to sum up, after asking for check, it took them 15 mins to bring it. The food indeed was of good taste. Star appetizer: Truffle Parm Fries (One of the best in town). Cheers!

    we were brought to the back of the restaurant for our patio reservation, and only after we got there the hostess said oh well we had a glitch in the system and can’t sit you outside. after asking for some further accommodation, she suggested the outside bar, which was under the kitchen fan blowing hot air at 30° weather, despite having at least 4 available tables. pro tip - voice all that out before bringing the guests to the table they did not reserve, so we don’t waste our time going back and forth to end up leaving the restaurant.

    This might be the worst brunch in the city. I'd heard the bottomless brunch is great; but whether you want the bottomless brunch or the regular brunch, both are a terrible experience. I booked a reso for a group of 8 people, 3 of us got the bottomless brunch, 5 didn't. The food is pretty low quality -- definitely edible but not very good. What really ruined the experience was the service. Our server seemed super confused the entire time -- like he barely knew the menu. He then abandoned our table entirely, and the support staff and manager ended up running all our food and taking additional orders. The staff never seemed to know who ordered what... i understand we were a larger group, but it was like the initial server hadn't assigned anything to seat numbers. Everything was very slow for how many people were working. We had to wait 30 minutes for our bill. We flagged down the manager and asked for our bill and he said he'd "be right back with it" but then went over to the bar and texted on his phone for another 10 minutes. I had to flag the manager again and tell him "Please bring us our bills or we'll leave without paying" because it was getting ridiculous. He then asked us to recite to him what we had ordered because it hadn't all been punched in correctly.

    Second time dining at Fox on John! First time our experience was not great but decided to try again! The brunch menu food was pretty decent this time but the rest of experience was not. We had a reservation for 10:30am and showed up at 10:15am and everyone was so flustered by it and rude. We said we had no problem waiting. We were 6 adults and 1 kid. The patio was not busy at all and they shoved our party in a little tiny corner behind a bbq and a bunch of other crap behind the hostess stand which didn’t make sense to us since the patio had tons of space available. I think we have officially given up on dining here.

    Shocking really... I was expecting standard bland pub food as most of this chain locations are and was surprisingly blown away. The seafood linguine was perfectly done arrabiata.. just the right amount of spice and not Tabasco or some similar average spice. We had the walnut pear salad also perfect. Not to mention a knowledgeable bartender mixing an awesome dirty vespar martini and a not too sweet but punchy Margarita...alsoour server was lovely and attentive. All for just over $100 with tip and tax. We'll be back!
