    Shocking really... I was expecting standard bland pub food as most of this chain locations are and was surprisingly blown away. The seafood linguine was perfectly done arrabiata.. just the right amount of spice and not Tabasco or some similar average spice. We had the walnut pear salad also perfect. Not to mention a knowledgeable bartender mixing an awesome dirty vespar martini and a not too sweet but punchy Margarita...alsoour server was lovely and attentive. All for just over $100 with tip and tax. We'll be back!

    Entrees were excellent..salmon dishes . Truffle fries were just ok…not very tasteful. Drinks were ok except the frappe because the portion was large with barely any alcohol.

    A good spot for a quick bite before theatre. Reasonable prices, food was average but wasn’t expecting anything more. It was very loud but the “lively” vibe was fun. Definitely not a spot for a romantic dinner 😇

    The service was terrible if you like loud restaurants where you can’t even speak to the person across from you without yelling in their ear, then you’d like this place keep in mind it was literally a Tuesday night but I will say the calamari was delicious.

    It was my first time coming here and booked a reservation for my boyfriends birthday. I wanted to surprise him with Brunch to start off the day and decided to try out a place we havent been to before. I booked the reservation on Opentable and booked for 2 seats at the patio for 2pm. Upon arrival we had to wait for about 15-20mins after 2pm to get seated. We also ended up getting seating inside rather than on the patio like requested on the booking. However, my boyfriend didnt mind and actually liked being seated inside. Once we were seated, it took what it felt like 30mins to even be approached by a server. We ordered the all inclusive brunch. After being served our Cava, cups and first round of plates, any time we ordered food after that we had to wait 30-40mins to receive our food. My boyfriend ordered waffles and didnt even get to receive that for an hour or so. And we kept telling the waiters we still havent received the waffles and kept getting told "ill grab that for you" and never came back with it. When they finally decided to serve us the waffles they gave us completely melted ice cream and told us it ended up melting because its been sitting out but its still cold. Imagine my face at this point. The manager came to our table around 3pm to ask how we were doing and if we had any feedback. We told her how the service has been terrible and how it was our first time there and it was for my boyfriends birthday. So she apologized and offered us shots on the house. After that we just wanted to leave as the whole experience was putting a damper on our day. We ended up paying for the bill of $148.83 which was ridiculous considering we barely ate. As we were about to leave Rosa and one of the crews brought us a dessert and 2 more shots to try and turn things around for us and then we were told we would get a refund and still havent received a refund. They ended up refunding a whole different person because the card number they showed me, I dont own. Dont eat here.

    Since the first time we went to the Fox on John we got Jane as our server and we always go back for her. She provides amazing customer service and listens to the customer and is very attentive.

    The Fox on John has become one of our favourite go to places when we are in the downtown core. We went for brunch pre a Blue Jays game. We were pleasantly received and seated immediately, and brought two bottle of ice cold water right away because it was a particularly hot and humid Sunday morning. We ordered coffees which came promptly, and the whipped truffle honey ricotta starter to share. This is one of our favourite starters. For our mains, my wife had the Avocado Toast with poached eggs. The description of the item, mentioned Pistachios and Pomegranites which she expected to be on the side, but to her surprise they were incorporated in with the Avocado which she found to be amazing, the eggs also had a bit of balsamic drizzle for a real flavour pop. I had my favourite Ultimate Breaky, which was hot and tasty as always. A few more tater tots would be have appreciated (not that I need them). We find the staff to be wonderfully engaged with the clientele and with each other. Ciara, who was our server on our last visit, recognized us and came over to say hello, and the floor manager also stopped by to ensure everything was to our likinig. Very much enjoyed our meal, and looking forward to our next visit.
