    The service was terrible if you like loud restaurants where you can’t even speak to the person across from you without yelling in their ear, then you’d like this place keep in mind it was literally a Tuesday night but I will say the calamari was delicious.

    The Fox on John has become one of our favourite go to places when we are in the downtown core. We went for brunch pre a Blue Jays game. We were pleasantly received and seated immediately, and brought two bottle of ice cold water right away because it was a particularly hot and humid Sunday morning. We ordered coffees which came promptly, and the whipped truffle honey ricotta starter to share. This is one of our favourite starters. For our mains, my wife had the Avocado Toast with poached eggs. The description of the item, mentioned Pistachios and Pomegranites which she expected to be on the side, but to her surprise they were incorporated in with the Avocado which she found to be amazing, the eggs also had a bit of balsamic drizzle for a real flavour pop. I had my favourite Ultimate Breaky, which was hot and tasty as always. A few more tater tots would be have appreciated (not that I need them). We find the staff to be wonderfully engaged with the clientele and with each other. Ciara, who was our server on our last visit, recognized us and came over to say hello, and the floor manager also stopped by to ensure everything was to our likinig. Very much enjoyed our meal, and looking forward to our next visit.

    amazing brunch has to be the best deal downtown!! Our server was a delight!! The food was delicious and easy to order more as we went. The only thing that was unfortunate was that we kinda got shoved in a corner on the patio and they moved too many tables there plus a fire pit. I was trapped and could not get out with out disturbing other tables or getting caught on fire. Will be back hopefully less fire hazards 2 inches behind my seat.

    Thought we got off to a good start as out server seemed friendly and had a sense of humor. Ordered a Mimosa tower and my glass had a chip in it. Ordered the Steak Benedict (which was recommended) - steak was cooked incorrectly - and they mixed it up with my friend's steak. The English Muffin under the steak was so soggy it was practically dough again. Then we ordered a round of shots - 1 shot glass had a full bright lipstick print on it and a huge streak of something unidentifiable on the back! How the bartender who poured the shot or the server who brought it over didn't see it is beyond me - it was disgusting! Brought it to the server's attention and he didn't seem very surprised in his nonchalant "Oh I'm Sorry". They did not bother to offer us anything or take the shots off the bill after this experience - and when we brought it to his attention - he went to speak to the manager - who took the one shot off the bill - never even bothered to come speak to the table. I've been to lesser-known pubs who care a bit more about serving their guests cracked and dirty glasses! suffice to say, none of us will ever go back.

    Mushroom Rose Pasta - very flavourful and good portion Crispy chicken bites with the secret sauce - excellent! Both the white and red sangria were refreshing.
