   An all round excellent experience. The food was tasty and wonderful value for money. All staff were friendly and very efficient. We would highly recommend the Fox for lunch.

   Nice selection of vegetables and my turkey and pork were beautifully cooked. However, my husbands beef was too tough to cut we told the waitress and she said she would tell the kitchen. Our puddings were delivered to the table stone cold, to be honest I hadn't seen warm on the menu but when a waitress came to tell us it was a mistake and they should be warm my husband had all but eaten his apple pie but she did take what was left of my apricot sponge and bring it back warm. It wasn't our first visit to the fox but neither was it the best.

   Came as a recommendation for Mother’s Day meal and it was a total disaster very disappointing.there was no choice to have just the one course incase we don’t like the puddings or was too full.Service was terrible had to ask for water 3 times. Carvery was dreadful the beef was tough as old boots. and the pudding was a disaster not much choice on the menu,we chose apple pie with custard and that was disgusting it wasn’t even a pie it came like a sponge cake and was all cold inside.could not wait to get out of the place.we went to the toilets just before leaving and they were disgusting no toilet roll toilets filthy just so unhygienic definitely would not be returning.

   Terrible service. All staff looked miserable. One young girl chucked the cutlery across the table! £25 for 2 courses but didn’t state anywhere when I booked that this was compulsory. We asked the waitress if we could just have carvery as we never have pudding and she said ‘ no if you don’t want pudding just leave it!’ So we were expected to pay £12 for a pudding we didn’t want Food was cold and very average Will not be returning

   Our table was too near the line of people waiting at the carvery who spent their time looking at us eating, quite uncomfortable. Our first visit so as shown to our table not made aware it was table service, husband and I went to bar unaware of this, daughter left at table who felt waitress was a little negative with her. We went on Mothers Day and checked the prices online on the website for the carvery which was £11.99, only to find we were being charged £25 each, we did not see this price on The Fox Inn website and only made aware of it on the day. The bar staff and chap on carvery were very welcoming and warm. The food was lovely, but for this price we should of also had a starter included. We will go again now we know the system and will ring first and double check on carvery price and ask to be seated away from carvery set up, as we booked on OpenTable this time.

   Good standard of food (only had carvery). Plenty of it for a good price. Soft drinks were quite expensive though.

    £9.95 for a carvery......or£10 for 3 courses!! Well worth the extra 5p!! 3 meats a good selection of seasonal veg. Don't know how they do it for the money!!

    Lovely evening celebrating a birthday with friends. Excellent carvery with good choice of meat and vegetables. Good starter and desert. Excellent and friendly service. We will certainly be back soon. Thank you.

    Very disappointed on this occasion. It was very busy & obviously they were very short staffed. We had to wait a long time for starters & drinks . We had to ask 3 times for our dessert order to be taken & no one offered any apology.

    Good vegetables and service, the only down side was that the beef was tough. We have eaten at the Fox numerous times and this is the first time we have "tough" beef. I am sure its a one off and we will be returning in the near future.

    Love the multiple meat and veg choices. Beautifully cooked and presented. My granddaughter's child's carvery was served on a COLD plate! I had to ask for my own child's carvery to be served on the bigger warm plates.

    Have eaten here before and it was 10 out if 10. However last night was a different story. Booked for a birthday celebration, it was cold and pouring down. No hearing on in the pub. We were all cold. Food wasn’t overly hot, beef & pork were so chewy. Only chocolate, vanilla and strawberry icecream even though lots of others were advertised. Dessert order was wrong 3 times. Really disappointed as 3 of my party hadn’t been before.

    Incredible food. Always fresh food, well presented and lots of choice. Staff are always attentive. Love going here, portions are good, always leave feeling satisfied. Fantastic value for money.

    Chaotic experience. Didn’t even get to have any food. For a start there was nowhere to park on the car park. When stepped in to the pub all we heard was complaints. One person was struggling to pay as the car reader wasn’t working and they’d been waiting ages to settle the bill. Another table had been waiting just to get a drink and had been asked three times if they’d ordered. They were loudly saying the service was rubbish and would be putting a bad review on Facebook. After waiting 10 minutes someone unfriendly asked us our name and took quite a long time to check on the computer. She was very unfriendly and everything was too much trouble. We went to our table and found that people were already sitting there. As we went past the carvery the server said don’t send anymore people up here. It was absolute chaos. At this point we’d had enough and didn’t think it was worth waiting for hours to get a drink or food. We quickly left.

    The Menu pricing, having been reduced through the Winter months, is outstanding. Even when the current deal reverts back to previous pricing it is still excellent value for either of two or three courses on offer. Friendly, welcoming staff and well cooked meats and a wide selection of vegetables, make for a brilliant afternoon’s lunch.

    Took an age for anyone to ask us if we wanted a drink and then a long time to be served it, the Carvery was disappointing, no pork as advertised, beef was very chewy, cauliflower cheese was thin and watery. Eaten here several times before and have always had a decent Carvery but if this was my first experience here, I wouldn't be going back.

    I wasn’t expecting a great experience or top level quality, it was as expected. Having said that, the carvery is good value, shame they had no English mustard and they forgot cream with a dessert. I would go back but at least I know to expect.
