   We arrived earlier than expected and this was no problem for the staff even though we were a party of 10. The food was excellent and the staff friendly and helpful. Thanks to all concerned for an enjoyable afternoon

   Large centrally located pub in Guisborough. Good range of drinks, beers, wine, spirits etc. Nice atmosphere. Great food with plenty of choices.

   Unfortunately the food was not acceptable. The steak and ale pie looked like it had been bought from a supermarket and then microwaved. The pie casing itself was not properly cooked through, a but doughy. My wife ordered the fish and chips. She couldn't ear it. It was hard to cut with the knife and the fish looked clear in parts. In other words, undercooked. Those 2 dishes were about £12.99 each, apart from drinks. I was thoroughly disappointed, as it looks like a nice place. Perhaps it was just a bad day for the Fox Inn when I ate there last week.

   We booked a table for 11am and were stood outside waiting for it to open. They were late opening so we went elsewhere

    My meal was nice but the portion was small. We had the Sunday roast. I had beef but was a bit tough. My partner also had beef and did not enjoy his meal at all. Mainly because he didn't like the leeks and the stuffing ball and the beef was chewy. My mum had the turkey and she said it was nice. Like me, she liked her meal but we both agreed that the previous times we had eaten there, had been nicer and the portion size was more.
