At fourteensixteen, our mission is simple - by letting the seasons dictate our menu, we carefully choose the freshest, sustainable ingredients to craft dishes you’ll feel good about eating. We strive to provide our guests with an experience that is unique and eclectic, while still approachable and fun.

Located in the heart of downtown La Grange, our industrial rustic space has become an attraction for locals, foodies, and visitors looking for farm fresh food with handmade cocktails, craft beer, and an always good atmosphere.

Drawing inspiration from the local market and his life experiences, Chef Bret Bohning mixes rare, exotic ingredients with wholesome staples you know and love to bring you a winning culinary experience.

Please note: Our upstairs terrace is first come, first serve... no exceptions. Also, we do not have an elevator.

They sat us on the roof top (in winter) which is equipped with heaters. The heaters above the table made us too hot. When it was turned off, I got chilly. I was never comfortable with the temperature.
The food was just okay. My beet salad and gnocchi was very good but my husband’s short rib was ordinary. The service was spotty. I went to the bathroom at one point and my food was served while I was away. That is a huge pet peeve of mine. I would not race back to this restaurant.

We started with the flatbread with figs it was delicious also had the cornbread it came with honey that was from WI and I couldn’t stop eating it.
Our entrees were just as tasty I had the duck and the other had steaks and were very happy with them.

The food was well prepared, that was the best part. I did ask to be seated at a different table and first was told no and then put at another that was almost worse. I know it was a busy night but there were other tables open for most of the time we were there. Our server did not seem well acquainted with cocktails, especially manhattans and old fashions. Overall the price was high for the experience. On another note, forget parking in LaGrange. Nightmare

This was not my first time at the restaurant. Unfortunately they put us upstairs and even though they had the heat lamps my feet and legs were freezing. The food, ambiance was great and besides being cold it was a good dinner.

As usual we had an amazing time, great food and drinks! We always book a reservation but hope there is room at the bar because Andrew is THE BOMB!

Paul is always a treat too .. he totally gets my sarcasm 😊

If you’re looking for a great dining experience this is the place. My husband and I always end up making a friend by the end of the night 😄

We were greeted and seated promptly by a smiling hostess. Our server was attentive without being intrusive. The food overall was very good. The beet salad was very good, excellent flavor and texture, our server asked the kitchen to split it for us. The pork tenderloin was perfectly cooked and seasoned, great flavor! We also enjoyed one of the evening specials, a wonderful dry aged Kansas City steak, again perfectly cooked and seasoned. The steak was served with some roasted potatoes, which were wonderfully flavorful. For dessert, we chose a pound cake with cranberry, presentation was very nice, flavors were even better. We will be back

The place was nice and so was the service. What I did not like was the restaurant week menu that did not offer a salad or soup. Also the dessert choices could have been better. How you end a meal is important.

Bartender was awesome! Although the drinks could have used a garnish to make them pretty. Service at the table was also great. Food was delicious. Restaurant week menu was fantastic.

Althea went above and beyond with servicing our needs and providing details about the food as well as rental facilities.
The food was exceptional in presentation and taste with unique ingredients.
Pricing was a little high but deserved with satisfying food and ambience.

went for restaurant week and had the $48 four course dinner. Overall, it was outstanding. The difference between the $36 three course dinner and the 4 course was the brioche appetizer. While it was good, I don't think it was worth $12. Scallop and fish appetizer were great as was the venison and short rib entrée. Dessert was small but good. Overall, it was a good experience and I would definitely go back to try their main menu.

Sunday brunch was awesome. For restaurant week they have a 3 course deal for $24. Deviled eggs, an entre and beignets. I had the short rib Benedict which was outstanding! We were a group of 5 and everyone loved there choices....chilaquiles, farmers omelet, porkbelly hash and prosciutto omelet. We also had deviled eggs and smoked trout spread for appetizers, both were delicious, and beignets for dessert of course they were wonderful. The bloody Mary's were great too! A really delicious brunch!

We went here for brunch and tried the Restaurant Week special. The deviled eggs were good with a thin piece of bacon on top. That was a great start since the main course was pork belly hash with eggs. It was prepared perfectly - the pork belly was not over powering and a perfect size portion. Two small beignets finished the meal with a light cream custard sauce - just right to end a meal. My friend had the coffee and she said it was great. My iced tea was good. A great place to try something new.

We went for brunch. The food was exceptional, the menu included some distinct cocktails, the deserts were really special, and the ambience was relaxed and higher end then most. If this space were located in Chicago, there would have been an hour wait.

We were seated promptly at a table overlooking the kitchen. Service was a little slow to start, but attentive during our meal. We shared the beet salad and each of us tried the fish specials which were outstanding. We'll be back!

Maybe this was a bad day for them but service was not great. Our food took exceptionally long to come out and then came out over a period of 5+ minutes. We had nothing complicated and no explanation was given. Someone should have communicated about the problem. Instead, we had to check on our own food status.

Appetizers and salad portions are extremely small and not meant for sharing, prices are very premium $$ for such small portions. Main entrée is also modest. However food is tasty and service is good.
