Located in the heart of downtown La Grange, our industrial rustic space has become an attraction for locals, foodies, and visitors looking for farm fresh food with handmade cocktails, craft beer, and an always good atmosphere.
Drawing inspiration from the local market and his life experiences, Chef Bret Bohning mixes rare, exotic ingredients with wholesome staples you know and love to bring you a winning culinary experience.
Please note: Our upstairs terrace is first come, first serve... no exceptions. Also, we do not have an elevator.
Excellent food and love the atmosphere! They had some live music on Friday night which was nice.
The best restaurant in La Grange, hands down! The wood fired steaks are well worth the price...so flavorful!
Our first time in and very much enjoyed our dinner. Will definitely be back.
Great food and very knowledgeable waitress.
One of our absolute favorites, fourtennsixteen consistently delivers delicious, perfectly prepared food and friendly service. Thank you for a job well done.
My favorite dining place! Didn’t disappoint ‼️
Mike is the greatest waiter that makes sure you experience is the best!
Friendly & informed staff. Great menu & well prepared food.
We went for brunch - there was an event going on in main room on first floor so only seating was upstairs - turned out to be really great option with indoor and outdoor seating- rooftop looks great - we chose inside due to overcast day but lots of other guests were outside and enjoying the view and vibe); We tried the hash and the salmon benedict - both were perfectly presented, delicious, and just the perfect portion size. Our server was excellent. Good value and variety in the wines by the glass. Will return.
Rain was a great server. Food fantastic. Will go again
Amazing food and service. Made for a great anniversary dinner. A bit far from home for us but we’ll be back for the Fall menu change. Has to be about the best LaGrange can offer.
Underwhelmed. I have been wanting to go to this restaurant for awhile, but was disappointed overall. Four people for brunch - The place has a great vibe, but service was slow;one order was wrong (they corrected); never asked if they could refill drinks, etc.; very pricey and two of the meals were average. I may try drinks on the rooftop in the future, but I don't think I will go back for a meal. There are a lot of better choices in my opinion.
It has been our favorite restaurant for a couple years. Food, cocktails, and service is as good or better than most any restaurant in the city, with a much shorter drive.
It is advertised that there are no reservations for roof top seating but when we arrived the entire rooftop and been reserved. We were offered to sit at an uncovered table on the hot sidewalk along parking lot and it’s high traffic service road service road. Would have had no issue if restaurant said FYI we’ve made an exception to our seating rules and rooftop is booked when reservation was made - but to make the trip and only to learn advertised rules changed when we arrived is extremely poor form. I gave a four star on food as that is how we remembered our last time there
Very good food, but portions are small for the amount given. Would not go back.
Really good food. Good service. Interesting wine list. I'd definitely go back.
Great, but leave the f’ing AC on! Sheesh. Nothing like grabbing a drink in a swampy bar. Mmmmm
Great drinks, great food. Service was excellent. Thanks for another amazing meal.
Our wait staff was excellent. The young man who brought our water was so friendly and courteous.
My husband had the pork tenderloin and it was delicious, the sauce made the dish. And I had the halibut which was excellent. We loved the dessert and our cocktails too. We were on the roof which was lovely. We’ll definitely go back again and sit inside next time now that it’s almost fall.
Nice night out with friends!!
Food and service were terrific! We will definitely return!
Outstanding food and service at this wonderful restaurant. Wonderful wine list and good gluten free options.
The food is excellent and the menu is very original and is changed to provide some variety. The wait staff are very friendly and are able to explain the menu items in a way that the food becomes very enticing. I highly recommend fourteensixteen for either date night or a family night out.
This is one of the very best restaurants in the area! The food is absolutely delicious and consistently perfect. Service is warm, friendly, and timely.
Hangar steak and filet mignon were excelent... cooked perfectly. Heirloom tomato tart app was fresh and different. Bar is missing a few standards (Tanqueray Gin and Makers Mark) and surprising lack of vegetable options/sides on menu. Was able to get seated on first come first served rooftop which added to the good experience.
Came here for my sons birthday and couldn’t have asked for better service. Staff, food, and ambiance were outstanding!
Mike our server was outstanding. The food, wine and atmosphere were incredible. Would definitely recommend going.
The outdoor venue was great ! It was nice to find a restaurant that wasn’t on the street ! and on the roof !
It also was at a great location ! The food was great ! The desserts were excellent my compliment to the chiefs that involved with the food and there preparation . I look forward to coming back soon !👍
We all really loved the flatbread..best we ever had. Also my chicken was delicious.
The food and drinks were amazing, and our server was very attentive and nice. Would definitely go back!
Food and atmosphere were great. However, they seemed to be short staffed. Our waiter did a great job!
The place is beautiful and we were happy to eat on the rooftop. However, I was a bit disappointed. First, I mentioned twice it was a special 21st birthday. There was no acknowledgment at all. And when we asked for mixed drink suggestion, it took a bit of coaxing to get her to ask bartender. Lastly, the pork tenderloin was rare in the middle. We didn’t make a big deal but asked waitress to let the cook know for future reference. We’ll have to give it another try.
What a great find. Small yet very interesting menu, well executed cocktails and a wonderful group of waitstaff. We will definitely be back.
Very surprised to find this neighborhood gem has worked out kinks and is producing a great dining experience
Venison is very good. Good daily choice of steaks. Creative starters.
Found this gem a week ago and can't wait to go back. From the ceviche to the incredible tomato tart, fondue and wonderful wine selection, we loved all of it. The service was attentive but not overly, very friendly and never made us feel rushed. We dine out a lot and are really happy we found this place.
The restaurant is very loud due to the openness, brick walls, hard floors, etc. Since it was a Wednesday night, the restaurant wasn't crowded so the attention by the service personnel was excellent. All food items were tasty; however, the presence of kale in the Caesar's salad gave it a bitter suggestion.
Absolutely a fine combination of perfect and quaint. Really liked the hostess , bartenders , and waiters. Authentic ... good eats. Nice chill vibe
The food was good. Service was amazing. Only problem is that it was way too cold.
Best bartender in all of La Grange!
