My wife and I were meeting another couple (all vaccinated) for dinner and drinks for a 5:15 reservation. We got our drinks and had to sit outside for about 30 minutes before a table was ready. The outdoor heaters were nowhere near sufficient in the sun-freezing temperatures. We ending up buying two four packs, one sour that the keg was kicked and we really wanted to try and another that we liked and wanted to bring home. After being at our table for about 45 minutes we had bought two rounds of drinks and food for everyone, and during this time split two cans of the sour among the four of us, not realizing we were doing something wrong. Throughout this time multiple wait staff came by our table to pick up glasses, drop off food, or pick up the food trays and said nothing about the open cans. Then the guy that picked up our trays told the manager we had open cans. He immediately ran over to our table and began swearing at us, when we tried to apologize he just told us he didn’t believe us. The other woman with us had a can of cider served at the bar that she was drinking, he then began yelling at her asking her where she got that four pack, only to realize it is served at the bar. He then made me give the two remaining cans of the sour back, refunded me for those and told us we had to leave. Still with unfinished drinks from the bar on our table. We would have understood his frustration had we only bought cans from the fridge, however we had bought multiple rounds from the bar and food, and only opened a beer that was kicked at the bar. We even tipped the bar tender for selling us the four packs that we grabbed from the fridge ourselves. Won’t be going here again.
Setting up tarps on the outside of the heated patio might keep the heat in that area making it a little more comfortable on the colder days
Opening week woes? Not at Four Quarters. The bartenders were friendly, fast, and super accommodating. Just know, if you have a reservation, you may still have to wait a little for your table! Comes with the territory of visiting the area's best new attraction (with an already kickass following).
Great place for some craft beers and comfort food.
What a GREAT new place. Highly recommend!! Be sure to try the Grilled Cheese
The new location is absolutely amazing! With multiple seating areas (inside and outside) and cool new murals to view we were excited to get a first peak! The beer as always, was great.
Four Quarters always has had great beer and to experience the grand opening of there new place was amazing. Beer on spot and new food menu was great as well. We will back very soon!
I want to start by saying that we love Four Quarters and have been going for years. We were very excited to check out the new brewery. The beer was, as usual, excellent. They had a great selection and they have done a fantastic job with the new place.
That said, in terms of coordination - we were extremely disappointed with our experience on opening day. They took reservations - but that seemed to be the extent of their organization process. There was nobody at the door, just a long line (not socially distanced) of people crowded in, waiting to get to the bar. There was nobody else to see about reservations - it was just first come first served for tables once you placed your order. So that meant there was a group of 4 sitting at a table for 7, while we were a group of 5 squeezed into a table for 4. And some of the "available" seating was outside. We did not make a reservation with the expectation that our parents, who are older, would have to sit outside in the cold. Many other breweries offer the option when booking to select where you're comfortable sitting. Had it just been my husband and I - we would have been fine to go outside. And when I tried to discuss this with one of the employees, after we waited in line to get to the bar for twenty minutes, he was extremely rude. It also wasn't until you got up to the front that they asked you a few COVID-related questions. Otherwise not much contact tracing being done.
There was a large section of seating that was unavailable for use. There was a large section taken up by arcade games which were unavailable for use. It seemed like they had a great plan for a layout - but they didn't fully adapt it to the current COVID world that we're living in.
The place will undoubtedly be great once they work out the kinks, and those are to be expected, but it was definitely a rocky visit. For the safety, health and comfort of their visitors - they need to re-evaluate how they're going to handle busy weekends.
Visited on opening day and it was a full house. Beer and food was delicious. Looking forward to coming back to hang out on the patio this summer. I can see this continuing to be a very popular spot.
The beer was very delicious. Wasn’t bad standing outside. Glad we reserved a table. Maybe more food that staff wouldn’t have to cook. Fruit bowl, peanuts, popcorn maker, cheese platter. Pretzels were good though.
Very safe establishment. Everyone was spaced out adequately. For those traveling out of state, they made sure to check covid test results.
Incredible brews & snacks to be had here! Their cranberry sour is perfection & their pretzels are the BOMB.
Love the place and the beer! Super excited for them to move into a new space soon.
Always a pleasure to be there, can’t wait for the new place to open up.
Great beer and great service as always! One of favorite breweries in the area.
Best brews in Vermont! Can't wait to visit again soon!
Loved it! We tried some excellent brews with great service.
My favorite brewery around Burlington. I love how lowkey it feels and the beer is phenomenal.
Was slightly disappointed for Halloween. Thought there would be Potion Flights as mentioned in the advertisement but unfortunately that didn’t happen. I love Four Quarters but thought there would be more happening for their event. Staff was great, however.
Exceptional drink, food, and service
Everything was fantastic! Great food and drinks. Sat outside with a nice set up and had some heaters going. Inside was set up nicely as well and very clean!
Great outdoor area with plenty of space for social distancing. Excellent beer and courteous staff as always!
Always good and unique style beer and Sunday cocktail specials incorporated with 4quarter beer. New addition to the great and unique grilled cheese are pretzels
Due to COVID and governor restrictions, a reservation is a MUST prior to visiting. Staff was attentive and explained all procedures, masks must be worn anytime other than seated or at your table, and the environment both indoors and outdoors felt extremely safe and spaced. All orders are currently taken at the check-in station, and service was fantastic and prompt! Beer was outstanding (This House is Haunted, Maple Creemee Shakedown, Plato's Cave, Pickle Juice, Cider Donut Stout), TONS of beer available in cans, and great merchandise (especially glassware)! The Everything Vermont Pretzel was amazing as well! Don't be fooled by the looks of the place from the outside, as this is a absolute gem! 10/10 will return here every trip to Vermont!
We loved the atmosphere and the beer was delicious. This is our favorite brewery in the area, highly recommend!!!
Best beers and great service!!
Speciality grilled cheese sandwiches are available and suggested pairing of their beer are done very well
Always a pleasant experience here.
beer beer beer beer beer beer. so much good beer!!!
Four Quarters is a great brewery! The staff is extremely friendly! I highly recommend going to Four Quarters Brewing!
Beer was excellent. Atmosphere good but looking forward to new location. Only wish food was available, we would have stayed longer.
Always a great time; we return every August when we visit Burlington.
Love it there!!
Food trucks were not operating at the time of visit
Awesome place. My favorite beer in all of Vermont. Four Quarters is a hidden gem!
Didn't have any food, but other than that great exprience. I wish their tables were more 4 person friendly, as the barrels can really only hold 2 or 3 people outside, but other than that, beer is great. It's quiet not too loud. Would definitely got again. PICKLE JUICE!!!
There was no food available that I saw, not sure if there typically is or if this was from covid. I enjoyed the brewery a lot and they had quite a few beers on tap. I felt the seating areas were sort of small and awkward with plants hanging right at about your head level, I left with a few leaves in my hair! The server was really nice but they don’t come out to your table and you can’t start a tab so it wasn’t your typical experience, but I would definitely recommend this place overall. We had a really nice time and enjoyed all the beers we tried, plus a few to take home !
Awesome experience. Great beer and people. Felt very safe given current climate.
This place is a gem. Definitely worth taking the trip to visit. Awesome beers, relaxed atmosphere. Fun employees
Love their beers. Sitting outside what used to be a mechanic's garage really sells the feeling that you're in on the ground floor of something great. Love the atmosphere personally, but some might prefer the new location once its open. Great COVID accommodations too.
