   This place was a hit with our kids and adults. The band entertained the kids while they danced and played. Adults were able to talk and visit. Food was amazing for a Buffett style. We were very impressed.

   Our family loves the western barbecue! It is a must every time we are in Steamboat. This time we got seated very close to the stage where there was live music and it was too loud. If you want to visit, ask for a table a little further back. I would highly recommend attending this bbq!

   The salmon was cold. No one ever came by to clear plates or ask about drinks a second time. We have been to this before. Service was the worst. Food is good but not all was hot. Salmon cold.

   Super fun experience with the live music and taking the gondola. Food was just ok but it was nice for the kids and adults to have options at the buffet. Dessert buffet was awesome!

   We were seated and then forgot about, had to go find someone to get our drinks. Children were allowed to run all over the place and running into us and knocking things over on our table. We asked the Manager for help in keeping it some what civilized, but nothing changed.

   The food was great. The wine was average and over priced. We were seated in an area that we could not see the band. We asked about another table and they said they would see what they could do. They didn't come back. Band was good. We did have a good time.

    Expensive for a buffet. You sit at long tables with strangers like at a wedding reception while the band plays games and music for children. I would not recommend unless you have young children. Not a good venue for adults.

    Would recommend with caveats...We had previously attended the Western BBQ 2 times in past years and maybe our perspective has changed now that our kids are older but we felt the food was not as good and the music/entertainment was not as good as in previous years.

    I was most impressed by our waitress. She was busy but always had time when we needed her. She also helped us with taking care of late guests. We had a party of 9 and I was satisfied enough I added $ 20.00 to the tip.

    The tables and chairs were so close it was extremely difficult to get up and get the food and dance. The music was so loud as we ate we either had to yell or just not talk. The food was ok, nothing great. The salad bowl was empty and not refilled. The ribs ran out and several people in our party did not get any.

    Would not go again, but we had an OK time. The band was wonderful and provided lots of entertainment that our whole family enjoyed (8 year old to 65 year olds). Server was very rude multiple times. They were out of most of the wines and the buffet was mediocre. The prime rib was medium to well done and they never brought out any more that was rare/medium rare. Our server let us know that the evening we dined was their last evening for the season - which was the explanation for running out of wine. Not sure about the reason for the rudeness. The gondola ride up to the restaurant was breathtaking. Would not return here again.

    We had a great family evening due to the music and fun dances. Our server was great but because it is a buffet we had to squeeze in and out of the very narrowly placed tables. The food was average bbq. The Mac and Cheese was very good as were the corn muffins, and the prime rib and chicken were also above average but the pork ribs were dry and sides were ordinary Cisco level. The band was interactive and taught some square dances and kids had a spoon on the nose contest so they all thought it was a blast. When they went for ice cream however, it had been put away with no warning. Our server had the staff bring it back out so kids who had been dancing could have ice cream. The dessert server was not happy to have to get it out again. We had a 7:15 reservation so not sure if that was a later one and the staff was ready to put things away even though it didn’t seem like enough time for us to eat and then get dessert. It could be really great with better spaced tables and more cheerful preparers (the servers were very friendly and helpful), and just a notch up on the bbq and veggie sides.

    The experience of gondola at night was fun and our waiter was attentive. The band played good music, but maybe a few too many games and not enough music. The food was cold (pork shoulder and baked beans) and the potato salad tasted days old. Kale salad was delicious. To us, it was not worth the money.

    Food was overall good. Prime rib & some of the other meats too well done for our taste. Otherwise, salmon was excellent as well as other dishes. Major complaint would be the seating. Some of the long tables were way too close together with too many chairs for comfort. We understand Steamboat wants to accomodate all who wish to come but it was difficult for our waiter as well as ourselves to get in and out for food. Otherwise, a fun night.

    We have gone up several times and love it every time! The food is surprisingly good. Loved the prime rib and the salmon. Desserts were just average but I was full anyway. The band is good and fun for everyone. If you are willing to be silly and hokey pokey then you will like this place. If you are looking for a serious, formal dinner, you might want to try somewhere else. The gondola at night makes it even better!

    We booked a 7:15 reservation. We didn’t realize this was the last seating or that the restaurant was an all-you-can-eat buffet. They were out of ribs and everything else was crusty. Much of the staff had been sent home.

    The buffet was good including the prime rib and cobbler. Wine was inexpensive. Food was moderately priced but only because it’s mid mountain at a ski resort. The best part was the country and western band. They were very good musically and great with the kids. Everyone seemed to be having a great time.

    We had a reservation at 7pm and at 7:45pm they started taking down the buffet. The dessert table was decimated and they didn't even have one of the desserts that we wanted. I would NOT recommend this for anyone who wants to have a decent meal, or with children over 10 years old.

    Great experience. Loved the views of Steamboat from the Gondola. Great way to share the mountain with non-skiers. Servers and hostesses were super friendly and helpful. Nice variety of foods to choose from. Seating was mostly at long tables but we had the table to ourselves - don't know if that is always the case. The ribs were cooked well but were seasoned very very spicy hot (Feb 16th, 2019). Band was good and the children seemed to enjoy dancing.

    Tables were way to close together! Way to many chairs at each table. It’s a buffet and you couldn’t get in and out.. They need to pull the tables farther apart and remove a chair or two from each side.

    Great Family value as kids 12 and under eat free! Food was OK for a buffet. A number of dishes were off (e.g. BBQ ribs overcooked and lukewarm in temperature, they ran out of turkey breast after the first 15 minutes of serving and it took 20 additional minutes before more was ready). But for the price, an OK buffet dinner plus a cool gondola ride and a fun, family-friendly band was well worth the $45 price per adult.

    Overall it was OK. The sound level was very noisy. The tables and chairs were very cramped. It gave the feel like the restaurant simply wanted to cram as many people in there as possible to make more money. The food buffet was excellent but not overall the Gondola ride and buffet for the price was not there.
