Possibly the best Sunday lunch I’ve ever had. My first time visiting but will not be the last. Outstanding all round.

An incredible meal for our anniversary. Everything was perfect from the fabulous, personalised service, to the delicious food and drink.

Only disappointment is that the Father’s Day menu offered did not quite match the social media ad which indicated roasting meat but with potato salad option.

Sorry Sara, we have had to delay the launch of the outdoor bbq menu as rather boringly, we're awaiting a hand sink being fitted. It's such as shame we couldn't do it in time but we're hopeful we can serve up some delicious outdoor eats (safely) very soon.

We'd eaten at Ember, and very much enjoyed the food. A visitor from France was a good excuse to try the Four pears sister establishment. The bookings are rigidly controlled to stagger the dinners not overloading the kitchen. No problem, we selected the 17.00 booking. We arrive to find a decent size restaurant with one lovely family party of say 10 ISH just finishing their meal. The noise being generated by children & adults alike was very loud, not a massive problem, just didn't want to be put on the table right next to them! Why just why even attempt to put us next to them. Heres the one small issue with the Four pears, anticipating customers needs. What's required is the old fashioned Maitre D touch, our server confused our drinks order, then got a side dish wrong. The boss was about, seating and order taking should be her exclusive role. The knowledge of the menu would then be handy and errors lessened. Top dollar you are asked to pay, the foods outstanding, innovative interesting & utterly delicious. If I'm paying Top dollar for the grub. The service needs to match the food.

Hi Robert, Thank you for your comments on our food, I know our kitchen team will really appreciate your warm praise. I was briefly about on Saturday to facilitate staff breaks and switch between day and evening service. However, I did need to leave to attend my own birthday celebration. Our capacity can be over 80 covers with a pub and garden on top of that. Though it would be wonderful to get the opportunity to get to every table, it just isn't possible and would be detrimental to overall customer experience. I'm sorry there were some small confusions, but I'm glad you still enjoyed your experience with us. We have a lovely team, some very experience, some still learning, but all have genuine care. Beautiful food. Beautiful wine. Lovely crowd. This time Maxwell wines managed evening with Nark, Clare and Annabelle. Not what I expected. Much better. Thank you xx
