Came in expecting a unique experience. The concept brought us in, the quality of the execution will keep us from coming back. Food doesn’t shine through at all.
We asked for outside “if it was warm enough”. Had no heaters and it was cold. Told us that now that we wanted to change to inside we would have to wait 10-20 minutes. We said that was fine and asked if we could order a drink. They forgot to send the bartender to us. After 10 minutes, asked about the bartender. They finally sent him over. After waiting 20 minutes, the hostess approached us again and said because we booked outside, it would now be another 20-30 minutes. We said that we did not want to wait again. They were pretty rude and we gave them our bar tab so pay, but after waiting another 7-8 minutes without being taken care of, we left. They didn’t seem to care whether we were there or not.
Loved the ambience. Menu is so inventive and it’s nice to offer a tasting menu as well as ala carte. Food was delicious and presented nicely. Problems were w the service. We were brought the wrong starters AND main courses. And we were brought the wrong check. Not good but all was fixed and well def be back.
Lunch was amazing!! Would highly recommend. Service was great too.
Waitress made whole meal awesome !
It was wonderful! Our server was outstanding as well. Love the new fall menu.
We loved the autumn menu. We want to come back and try more foods.
I waited 3 years to dine at IV. The meal did not disappoint.
This is my favorite restaurant in Colorado Springs. The menu is creative and the ingredients are top quality. It's a great place to order duck. This time we tried the wine pairing with our meal, and it was well worth it. The wine complemented each course, and made wonderful meal even better. I can't recommend this place enough. I'd go there every week if I could.
They were closed and empty even though we had a reservation.
Service was extremely nice and helpful but you could tell very busy. First half of experience was wonderful and she answered all of our questions graciously. Second half, not so great. Waited a while for cocktails that just sat on the bar and our steak was overcooked and quite tough. Overall not what we hoped for at this price point.
Perfect place for date night! Loved that they spaced out courses to give time to enjoy the meal
We dined in for lunch. There was only one waitress for 12 tables and no bartender. Poor waitress was trying really hard to do everything. I ordered the margarita and it was literally only filled 1/3 of the way up a short whiskey glass. The ice cubes were 2-3 inches taller than the liquid. It was 3 swallows of a drink for $11. I ordered the lamb nachos and they looked like gas station nachos with liquid cheese and canned jalapenos on top. The smoked lamb was tasty but I only got about one tablespoon of lamb. My husband ordered the cheeseburger. Very small burger and small portion of fries. We were incredibly disappointed because we had heard great things. Not sure if the small portions and low-quality food has to do with the pandemic or not, but we were disappointed.
Our experience at Four could not have been better. Steve and Chef Brother Luck took wonderful care of us in the wine room to celebrate an Engagement. The food was fantastic, the flexible coursing provided a perfectly tailored meal and paired wine for each member of our party, and we were treated like family. We chose Four over the Penrose Room at the Broadmoor, and couldn't be more pleased with the experience. Thanks Steve & Chef!
Fantastic cocktails awesome 4 course tasting menu and inspired wine tastings.
Outstanding service! The food was solid, nothing spectacular, but enjoyed the evening at Four.
Friends 30th anniversary
Wonderful experience! We went when we were on our honeymoon and got a complementary glass of champagne. Will definitely be coming back when we are visiting!
We went to Brother Luck’s for a special occasion and ordered the four course meal and wine pairings. Our waiter, Steve, did such an amazing job describing each wine and why it paired well with the course that it enriched the entire experience! The food was fantastic! The kind of meal where conversation slows down so you can truly appreciate each bite. I will mention that it took a little bit for our order to be taken, so I recommend you order a drink when you first sit down and just relax and enjoy the experience. The noise level was a little loud, but I didn’t have any trouble hearing anyone at the table, so I think the ceiling sound dampeners work some kind of magic. All in all a very special place!
We like this place because it is consistent. never had a bad meal and always been excellent. Changing Menu is fun as well.
Wine pairings with the entrees were perfect.
Very creative dishes, fun to try as many as possible. The tasting menu offers good value. A little surprised to see that the manhattan was $21, but otherwise, quite fun and tasty.
Excellent. Definitely a do over
Everything we ordered was Amazing! Best food we had our entire trip!
We had a great time trying Four and will definitely be back. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The food was absolutely outstanding. And the atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for to have a night out for our anniversary. We especially liked the four course option to try different tastes. Highly recommend!
Great restaurant great prices food was amazing!! Our waitress was great - very friendly and made good suggestions.
Always a treat! Quality, homemade, local food. Can be pricey depending on what you get.
Great creative dining! The lamb appetizer is amazing
We brought our friends who recently moved to CO and wanted to share the FBL experience. They were quite impressed with the ingenuity and quality of the food. We all had the wine pairings which were spot on. Due to COVID-19, the ambience was a little lost but we understood. Our server and sommelier were very knowledgeable. We will be returning again!
Overall really great! The food was awesome and the waitress was excellent!
It was good but didn’t meet the top chef hype. Frozen fries. It was fine but not over the top good
The tasting menu with wine pairing was delicious and of good value for the money. Great variety of food options available that fit the theme of the restaurant. The service was outstanding as well!
Great local restaurant great food great service price was right
Excellent, eclectic, farm-to-table food. Very unique!
One of our absolute favorite restaurants, not just in Colorado.
Fantastic experience! Food was outstanding and service was top notch! Will definitely recommend this to others!
Service was fantastic but the food was lacking for the price point as well as the atmosphere.
Let me start out by saying that I went during lunchtime and we were the ONLY customers in the place. I realized that all those positive reviews came from dinner diners. So I did not get to sample that dinner menu.
What we did eat was adequate. Nothing spectacular, just adequate. It took almost 30 minutes to get the food, which I thought was too long, considering we were the ONLY people there. We did have confirmed reservations so they knew that at least they would have one party to serve.
I try to find the positive in every situation so I will say that we enjoyed the "quiet" and each other's company. The waitress was pleasant but slow. I might consider trying a dinner service since the reviews are so favorable.
Words can not describe the incredible experience. The food was out of this world. Would definitely recommend as a must eat stop.
