Four by Brother Luck
The food was a disappointing combination of over seasoned or unseasoned. None of the dishes came to the table any better than tepid. The wine pairing ($25) was a combination of boring average supermarket wines. My wife and I had high expectations for this restaurant but were let down tremendously.
We will go back and make sure it is, again, on a 1/2 price bottle of wine night. The mushroom tart is divine. The beet salad and the brussel salad are both delish. Salmon, pork tenderloin, chicken, all very good. The poached pear is so nice. All the servers are friendly and informative. Enjoy!
The staff made my niece feel special for her honeymoon.
We had an 8:15 pm reservation and we didn’t sit down till almost 9 pm. Then we had to wait even longer to get served. The food was sub par once we did get served, and it was not well prepared, the service was slow, and it was an all around poor experience. As a fan of Top Chef we were expecting more and we were very disappointed.
Best meal in the Springs......we can always count on creative, interesting combos of flavors that delight every time. Thank you!
The food was fabulous! I love that you can choose 1 whole menu or mix and match with the selections. We will be back!
We had heard about Four from a friend and were excited to try it. Had a wonderful time. The service was great, atmosphere was really nice, but the food was AMAZING! Well worth the money for a nice night out. Don't miss out on this place!
One of the best in Colorado Springs!
Everything was good. I was a bit disappointed with the Bison short ribs as they tasted a slow cooker roast. The poppers, creole buns and cookie were all amazing.
We were the only ones in the diner so we got top notch service. We went at 2pm, late lunch. Our only dissapointment is we wanted a picture with Brother Luck, he wasnt there, because we are Top Chef fans. We had the tiny burger, poppers and kale salad. All excellent choices. Our 2 kids both got the burger and it was high quality meat and a big portion, which probably could have been split between them. Craft beers were decent and price wasnt too bad considering the quality.
Great innovative food. Get the paired wine tasting a my husband did and I was jealous of his choices the entire dinner!
The food and wine pairings were very good, good enough to make up for the rushed service. First course arrived about two minutes after I got my cocktail. The room was very noisy even though not all the tables were full. The place is not attractive; it's in sort of a strip mall and it looks it. But we were there for the food and the wine, and overall that did not disappoint.
We've eaten at Four a few times and I'm never disappointed. Well worth it!
It was a great evening!
Four is a low-key upscale, unpretentious, come as you are spot. What makes Four unique is how multiple regional influences are brought together on the menu.
The favorite part of my meal was the beef tenderloin from tasting menu III. I highly recommend.
The service from start to finish was exeptional. The hostess offered to hang our coats, while our server provided thorough explanations of the menu and wine pairings.
This place never disappoints. The food is unique and delicious, the staff are knowledgeable and friendly, never overbearing. I had the cactus fries, duck green chili, bison short ribs. My wife chose the chef’s tasting menu, and thoroughly enjoyed every course. Thanks Brother for another special evening.
We had a wonderful dinner with wine pairings by Steve "the som"....the food was delicious but even more so with the perfect wine pairings.
This is our favorite restaurant in Colorado Springs. The menu is creative, the ingredients fresh and the food is ALWAYS amazing. Brother Luck and his staff know how to treat their guests right! This is an awesome place for any special occasion or even just great night out.
Overall we had a great experience. We opted to eat at the bar on a cold, snowy night. The service was excellent and more professional than on prior visits. It seems there has been either more training or just more experience. Our bartender was friendly and helpful. The wine list has expanded and includes some more unusual and good value wines. The bottle of wine we ordered was no longer in stock and we were offered a more expensive option at the price of the initial selection - a nice touch. The food was inventive and excellent. If the gumbo dumpling is still on the menu get it. Lastly, the noise level is markedly improved. We will be back.
My wife and I went back for our second trip to IV after had an unbelievable experience at the Top Chef dinner in February. Unfortunately, we weren't quite as impressed with this return. The wine cellar area was dominated by the conversation from a particularly loud pair of diners which detracted greatly from the experience. The food, while very good, was short of excellent, tending to be somewhat under seasoned. As you would expect from a signature dining location, the prices are a bit steep, adding to the sense that the value was not quite where it should be.
Hubbys Birthday. Excellent experience. Will certainly go back!!!
Very nice lunch. Creative food and delicious. Right sized portions.
Four by Brother Luck is a culinary highlight of Colorado Springs. The overall experience is fantastic, between soft (but not too low) lighting, a pleasant din of activity, conversation and music, the attentive and efficient staff, and the outstanding food. We cannot wait to return!
Best restaurant in Colorado Springs and I’d rank it in my top five worldwide. Never dull. Always changing content, always great food.
I love this place. The menu is always changing and so creative! My favorite place to dine in the Springs!
It’s sad that these other great reviews do not translate to lunchtime dining. Chicken was very over cooked and there are no words to describe our Poutine. Significant letdown for a place with such great reviews. Stay home for lunch and try at dinner and see if reviews live up to the hype.
Everything was prepared well and exceptional flavors in food with wonderful presentation. More gluten free options in food choices would be very welcome, though.
Really enjoyed our total dining experience at Four by Brother Luck! Everyone was friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is just right. Most importantly the food was outstanding.
We just found our our new “favorite” place!
We had out of town guest and we wanted to share time and meal that was unique to COS
The food was amazing!!! Busy weekend so it was pretty loud and packed.
Outstanding as always. Ambiance, food, service great as always.
Delicious meal. A bit expensive but you pay for the experience as well as the food. Thoroughly enjoyed it!
Food was exceptional. Drinks were a little slow in coming but this was the weekend after Valentines.
Our first few times at four were a much better experience. This winter menu experience was not worth the money. The food was mediocre, nothing exciting, no wow factors. We will be back to try the spring menu in hope that it was a fluke.
Food is OUTSTANDING, the jalapeno peppers are the best that I have had.
Great food and excellent service!
The food was AMAZING! Loved the atmosphere! The bar staff was too busy. I sat/ate at the bar, and my drink was empty a couple times. They could benefit from one more bartender.
It was overall a lovely meal, duck was a bit dry. It did not have the wow factor I was expecting but would recommend.
If you have never had a four course meal before, I think this is a great starting point. All of the dishes that I had had so many underlying flavors in them. Everything is prepared and plated so nicely, and everything is reasonably priced for the quality of food you receive. All and all I would totally come back! And get 3 orders of the Rum Baba the next time I come!
The food was outstanding and had flavor profiles that just kept coming at you! The dry aged duck breast was cooked to perfection and one of the best bites of food I had ever had. Service was very good the glasses were always full and clean silverware every course. The only disappointments were that I ordered the bone marrow and was informed that they were out but the gentleman whom was seated next to me and was seated 40 minutes after me ordered the bone marrow and received it?????? Also they had a lobster tail special that was offered to the table next to us but was never brought to our attention???? They did give me a $40 gift card when I questioned them about the bone marrow incident but I would have rather had the bone marrow. Annoys me that restaurants think giving gift cards solves their issues, I just want a fantastic dining experience, and to be fair, Four came pretty darn close because of their incredible food!!!!
