Located conveniently on Metro’s Silver Line, Founding Farmers Reston Station is a great gathering place for locals, nearby businesses, and commuters. Open 365 days a year, our culinary crew crafts dishes and drinks from scratch with simple, high-quality ingredients from farmers and suppliers we know and trust.

    Received a gift card to Founding Farmers. Great atmosphere but A/C wasn't working well on a 100 degree day. Large portions and quality is good but overpriced. Also, I had invited family- we were a party of 9. An automated tip was added which I was okay with but it was 22% which I completely disagree with. I usually tip well but when its automatically added-18% should have been used. I personally won't be going back.

    Met a friend for lunch. Greeted warmly by the hostess & server. Given a booth in a quiet location so we could talk easily. Excellent food - tuna poke salad & salad with chicken (server readily substituted the fried chicken for grilled. Excellently prepared. Delicious!

    service was slow. Food looked good but was not not, just warm. Sadly this has been my experience there for 5 years. I keep hoping for hot food but the kitchen is far away at this FF and promptness of service has not seemed to be a priority there for 5 years. The salt also never really works. yes, you crank it and a little comes out, but they are just a bad design of shaker. The menu is fantastic, but the actual food and the service are poor. I'd love to eat the items on this menu more but I go instead to Silver Diner, which I don't prefer, because they are prompt, attentive, and food is hot. I go to Teds and First Watch for same reasons. FF is the closest to me of all of those, but the food is also VERY expensive for cold food and slow service and no functional salt.

    The ambiance and our server Masha at Reston was wonderful. She was charming with the children and was very mindful of our time. She appropriately interrupted us while we were family bonding and gave honest menu recommendations. To be honest, the 3-star came from the food and drink. I visited the Tyson’s Corner location and the food and drinks were much better. I expected the food to be of the same caliber, but it was not seasoned well - the meat for the Farmer’s Platter salty (fried chicken) and dry (brisket). The Gnocchi Sausage and Mushroom had so much potential! The taste was there but the white sauce was so soupy. I was expecting less heavy cream and not to add salt to give it taste. We will be visiting the Tyson’s Corner location next time around.

    Unfortunately we had an outside table and rained and no option but stay sitting outside on Father’s Day. Other tables were sat inside and we were told no room. The buffet was too crowded and food constantly empty when went to get some. I would not do buffet again. Only saving grace was our delightful server. I didnt catch her name but she was a blonde former ice skater. She truly made the experience much nicer!! She was delicious!
