Founding Farmers Alexandria is located just a short walk from Potomac Yard in Oakville Triangle.

Open every day – serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, weekday happy hour 3:30pm-6pm, and weekend brunch – their expansive made-from-scratch menus offer American-inspired dishes including their famous fried chicken & waffles, farmhouse sushi, a variety of salads, fresh pastas, premium seafood & more. A full-service bar features cocktails made with Founding Spirits, their DC distillery. There is also a full service patio available that's seated on a first come, first served basis.

Very disappointed. It was Father’s Day so we expected it to be busy. However, the restaurant did not meet our expectations for good service or quality of food. The waitress greeted us nicely but after that really was not attentive. Our drinks came a large time apart. The appetizer, while tasting nice, was cold. My husband’s food was overdone. My food did not taste very good. I asked the waitress to take my plate away while we waited for the restaurant to recook my husband’s, and she said she’d come back for it. That was not for some time. We had to ask another waiter to help us get water as the waitress didn’t bring any. My husband asked for more of a condiment, but the waitress never brought it. The noise, especially from crying babies or children banging on the table was very distracting. The restaurant did take off my husband’s meal on the check. I think after she realized how badly it was going, the waitress just focused on other tables. All in all a terrible experience.

Noisiest restaurant I’ve ever been in. Expected same menu as the one in DC. Nope. Terrible wine list. Wasn’t one glass of wine on the menu I wanted. Big, expensive disappointment.

Great food and awesome service. Wish there was a kids menu. Parking was easy. Vast menu and great drinks for all.

Booked days in advance. Waited an hour before being served, chicken was burned, waiter brought replacement which was dry.Food all food ordered below average. No where close what I experienced at Rockville location months ago. Overall I would have preferred going to fast food joint if I knew food would be like that. Not worth $160.00 NEVER AGAIN

Food took to long to come out after give order, food was very blended, and lukewarm not hot. Breakfast/Father Day 25. The servicer was very pleasant and accommodating.

Our meals were bit size which I’m not sure if that normal for this restaurant. My hash brown was fried way too hard. Took my spouse for father and he order steak and eggs. When the food came out it was two nuggets size pieces of steak on the plate. Our son order steak frites and he also had the nuggets size pieces of steak. It’s nice restaurant over all but I wouldn’t recommend to eat it.

This location does not have brunch buffet. My family visited on Father’s Day and we were very disappointed this was not an option. The restaurant itself is lovely and we had great service but the food was mediocre. My mom ordered egg’s Benedict and the poached eggs were overcooked, no runny yolk. My father ordered eggs and sausage and the quality was equivalent to a standard diner. Both hardly touched the hashbrowns. My husband ordered steak frites and his “steak” was not a filet but medallions of steak bites. I ordered the chicken and waffles. The waffles were basic, nothing special, and the chicken itself lacked quality seasoning. The fried chicken is better at KFC or Popeye’s. And my scrambled eggs were firm chunks and not seasoned. We did start with the cornbread with honey butter and that was the best part of the meal. Overall I would not return to this location nor would I would recommend it.

I’ve been to Founding Farmers before, but the experience at Alexandria was definitely my favorite. The service was great from the beginning and the food tasted amazing. I will for sure be back.

Nice spacious restaurant but the service took an extremely long time. The food was mid AT BEST. My first time there, and I was sadly underwhelmed 🙁. The drinks were good though. The food, not so much.
