Founding Farmers Tysons is a farmer owned restaurant that offers fresh food and drink with an emphasis and focus on cooking from scratch with ingredients sourced from near and far, from sources we trust, in a modern farmhouse setting. The bar is not to be missed, offering delicious scratch sodas, craft cocktails, and an all Virginia draught beer list; we'll have just the thing to quench your thirst.

Approximately 30% of the menu includes items inspired by the culinary traditions of Virginia in a modern way. Weekend brunch at Founding Farmers Tysons is BUFFET style, with a wide array of breakfast, lunch, salad, entree, and dessert options.

The restaurant is upscale casual, which welcomes business casual dress, and dress that would be appropriate in a nice restaurant; this includes jeans and athletic wear, and warm-weather clothing, including shorts.

I celebrated my birthday with y’all tonight. Unfortunately, we did have to wait a little longer than expected especially using Open Table BUT our server definitely made it up. She was wonderful and the food was amazing. Thank you for your company!

Great service but very disappointed on the food. Risotto was uncooked and my friend’s greens had no flavor whatsoever.

Great selection on the menu. I thought the cocktail menu was very unique. The beer can chicken was very good.

This was our second visit. We were not disappointed and will definitely return! Our server, Diego, was so fun and easy to deal with!!!

My friends order a Manhattan, the server said it would be with one type of bourbon, came back to say it would be fixed with another, however it was neither of them nor was it a Manhattan drink, just bourbon on the rocks.

One friend ordered steak frites and it came out with vegatable, not the frites. The server finally brought out the frites and some time later the manager did the same.

Food is always great and creative without being too "out there". The hand made sodas are a must.

The waiter either had too many tables or was not interested in serving us. His attention to our table was less than satisfactory but I gave him a "good" because he made good recommendations from the menu. He just seemed really rushed...

I start by saying that this has been one of our favorite restaurants in the dc area with great food and great service and we have eaten here 8+ X. Today was our first Sunday brunch and it was terrible. Our first disappointment was the valet that told us that we would have to pay $20 for parking that was advertised at $3. We have driven the same vehicle each time and were parked without incident, but today was different. When we arrived, the buffet was decimated. The majority of dishes were empty or had crumbs left. I understand that things run out, but it was clear that this was poorly managed. Employees at the table and serving the buffet were apathetic to the situation and unengaged and unsympathetic to customers. I had never seen such a mess at the entrance with dirt, leaves, and crumbs all over the floor.

Again, this experience was out of character for what we usually see here and was totally disappointing after talking the place up to our friends from out of town. We will certainly go back to see if this was a one off experience or a sign of a serious downturn.

We actually go to Founding Farmers a lot. My husband and I love the brunch buffet. However, they were off when we last went. I found hair in my food more than once, and the eggs were undercooked. They ran out of plates almost immediately after we got back from going to the buffet and continued to run out of plates the entire time we were there. Our reservation was at 845 before they even set up the brunch as well, so it seemed very chaotic. Usually, it's better. We were only offered one plate of appetizers by a server, when usually it is more. We were disappointed this time. Hopefully it isn't like this again.

I was excited to take my family to Founding Farmers because I have heard so much about it.
The pros:
- Was seated pretty quickly. Lots of room at each table
-Front staff and our waitress was very nice
-Food was really good, even though I did not finish it.. Reason why below.

The cons:
- Drinks took forever to make. I got my first drink after 20 minutes. The drink I ordered was recommended by my waitress. She said my drink would not be sour but it was so sour that it gave me heart burn.
- The AC was not working. I was sweating and I had a tshirt on. I asked the waitress and she said that she was going to speak to her manager and how they had a problem with the AC all day. Manager said because we have windows everywhere and it was hot today, it does get hot in here.. I was LIKE WHAT? Don't you have an AC? Since they are in the bottom floor of a building, the AC can only get fixed by the building maintenance and that could take a very long time.

I was excited to eat my steak, but it was so hot and unbearable that I could not eat.

I can only imagine what this place will be like in the summer time. 100 degrees. I would not go again for the simple fact that it will most likely be hot.

Usually a big fan of the founding Farmers restaurants. But this night was pretty disappointing. My husband's dish was really cold (probably had been done for a while since we waited an hour for our meals to come out) and my dish was very spicy. I'm used to menus indicating if something is overtime spicy and this one didn't. I had to take breaks while eating my mushroom gnocchi because of how much red pepper it had. Aside from those things, it would have been great. Our server was really hustling out there and the place was packed, so maybe they don't care as much about ticket times or following recipes? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

When I pay $32 for brunch I expect them to serve things with a lot more flare and I items could not make. Unfortunately this was not the case. Everything I ate generally good, but nothing was over the top or made say OMG.

I have been to FF in DC and it was great so expected more from FF in Tysons.

To qualify, we would not return for brunch. This restaurant is usually reliable but buffet brunch was average to below average at best. While service was good, it isn’t why you choose a restaurant. Disappointing.

The food was great. The wait was about 15 minutes even though I had a reservation. The server was below expectations. He was not attentive to our table. He did not assure we received the passed trays and his overall customer service was poor.

Food was great- the brunch area was a bit crowded so some there was a long wait to get food and it was cold. Also I specified through opentable the type of seating I wanted and the hostess said she wasn’t aware of my request. I had to wait 20 minutes to get the seating I had requested in my reservation.

My son and I ate here prior to attending Luzia. Restaurant was packed and the noise level was elevated, but not horribly so. Server was friendly and energetic and helpful with details. We started with the buttermilk biscuits. Good when they were warm and fresh, not so good after they had cooled off and hardened. My son ordered the Mac & Cheese with chicken added on. He devoured it, so it must have been good. I ordered the catch of the day, which was corvina. A bit pricey, but it was delicious, and as it brought back childhood memories, it was worth the price. All in all a great start to a great evening.

Would have been 5 stars BUT.....545 reservation, hostess charming & warm, we were originally seated at table in back room...when waitress arrived I nicely asked if we could be moved to booth in same room due to uncomfortable seating....after rolling her eyes, becoming visibly inconvenienced & intentional delay, she moved us to booth...but not without first jerking menus off table and then talking about us to other staff where we could hear/observe.....BUT with that said, we had an amazing meal with an amazing NEW/SECOND waitress who could not have been more on point and friendly!!!! ORIGINAL WAITRESS NEEDS TO GO!!! If we had not had other very positive experiences at this establishment we would not be returning.....but rather:
To be noted we had been here previously with local corporate colleagues without such attitude & rudeness
Great comfort food menu with fresh local ingredients....something for everyone!!

My family and I tried this restaurant on 6 Apr and were so impressed we returned. Not a pleasant experience this time. To start, the dips for the bread appetizer tasted different I didn't even eat them and we visibly had less. We took pictures. It was like the biscuits and cornbread went on a hunger strike before being served. Next, my spicy fried chicken was just ok. The macand chess was awesome, but the greens tasted as though they hadn't been rinsed/washed, I know I ate dirt. My six year old attempted to try the carbonara but it was too spicy for her palate (no kids menu). My eight year had the farmer's salad which she said was bland and the chicken noodle soup which she liked. My husband ordered chicken enchiladas and was pleased, but the side of corn was yuck. I think we're going to give this place a break. Maybe next year we'll try again.

Server recommendations didn't turn out. Seemed liked everything we asked about were her favorites. Kind of noisy for a business meeting but we should have expected that on a Friday; didn't realize that there was an event going on at Tysons that night.

Have been to Founding Farmers multiple times (DC and Tysons). First time I didn't feel like wanting to return.

The food at this place is really overrated. The apps are fine, and the beer selection is good, but the entrees are all subpar. Especially for the price. It's just not a great place. I don't get the hype at all.

The impossible burger was also overcooked. Significantly overcooked. Trump would have loved it (so long as you gave him ketchup, the loon).

Easily the best restaurant for dinner before Cirque du Soleil. Valet park your car, have dinner and pick up the car after the show. I'm always impressed with the service staff (not the host staff) here. Our server was just delightful and made the quick dinner very festive.

Food was okay, nothing spectacular and salad a bit overdressed. bacon-wrapped dates totally yummy. But the parking situation horrific--stacked 5 deep for valet, ended up parking on level 5--and check-in staff not very mindful of customers including failing to alert my guest that I had already been seated despite my request and giving her my guest's name. Saw similar activity with other diners while I waited to be seated despite having a reservation. Not awful but not looking forward to returning.

The food was delicious with great presentation! The ambiance and the decor were also lovely. Unfortunately the service was lacking. We were confused as to who our server was, since so many people helped us and our food and drinks were slow to be brought to us. Within a few minutes of us signing the check, the server grabbed the check from under my date's arm which we found rude and unsettling.
