The service started off poor but elevated as the evening went on. Our server improved his performance greatly over our time there. That can happen and wasn’t a huge problem. The food however was poor. It all looks amazing, the presentation and visual of it is wonderful. It does not taste amazing, it tastes very average or even sub par for the prices they charge. It could all be better taste wise, there is just this inconsistency between the look, reputation, and actual taste of the food that leaves you wanting.

Fathers Day brunch was awesome!

This is my favorite restaurant in the area and chose to celebrate Fathers Day here with my family. We had the Sunday brunch and it was awesome! Love how they make the biscuits hard so it will not soften from the sausage gravy while it sits on my FULL plate. Best place in Northern Va!

We had to wait 15 minutes, despite having a reservation. The buffet food was cold and some dishes the empty containers were not refilled even though we were there at 10am. I didn’t find the food that appetizing. And the buffet was expensive. The Bloody Mary and latte were good.

I don’t understand the hype. They are awful with allergens, for a farm to table food that should be fresh and easy to accommodate everything seems to be premade. Who puts gluten in shrimp and grits? Or in chicken salad? My friend had to have dinner replayed 2x bc of allergens. Apparently they put almonds in side salad but never said so even though she stated a nut allergy. Mine only 1x with gluten. TGI Friday’s is more accommodating.

The two person tables are too big. Felt like the person across from me was far away. Had to talk very loud to be heard.

Our waitress was super nice but not very knowledgeable. I ordered the sea scallops and they were covered in salt -- I had to scrape it off and it was still too salty and now I'm as salty as the scallops were.

The place was great! But the coffee wasn’t as expected, it has a horrible taste. Also, they don’t offer an omelette.

Not a bad spot just nothing special in my opinion. Good bar though - drinks are well made.

We had reservations and were immediately told they were running at least 15 mins behind, so much for reservations. Our server must have been new because she couldn’t answer several questions we had about the food. I had steak and enchiladas that came with street corn and avocado salad. The corn wasn’t like any street corn I had ever had plus it was about 2 T worth. There was some sort of garnish/slaw on top of the tiny enchiladas that I guess was the avocado salad but there certainly wasn’t any avocados in it, maybe in the dressing. The enchiladas were edible but very underwhelming. They were stuck to the skillet they came in and I had to scrape every bite out. And lastly my steak was way overdone. My server didn’t even notice or ask why I didn’t eat it.
My husband ordered lamb chops that said there were four which really meant two pieces of meat with two bones a piece. He only got three bones so we told our waitress and they sent over a manager who offered dessert. We took home a donut which was very underwhelming as well. I love coming here for brunch but I see no need to do dinner again. Stay away from the enchilada plate, they should take it off the menu.

Service as terrible, noise level insane high, it was overbooked, and, and understaffed, waitress with attitude, manger was much better. 25 minutes late for seating then offered bar table since told nowhere else, we chose to wait and 3 minutes later got table in dining area where there were many empty tables. Waitress came, took drink orders, and was not seen again for 20 minutes. People actually walked out of restaurant without eating (one of them a famous TV personality). we came closet leaving but manager helped us get served.

Terrible service-no service until we flagged someone down. Food took forever. From the time we sat down to getting our food was at least 45 minutes. The manager came by several times apologizing and comped our meal after learning about our awful experience and this wasn’t the first time this we’ve had poor service-it’s almost impossible to get someone’s attention to ask for something.

Food and service were great .

Eating area was too loud, no sound absorbing material-customers are surrounded with hard surface (floors, walls etc.) no rugs or curtains. Had to yell at friend across the table. This was 1st time will come again hopefully eating area is quite.

My experience was very mediocre. Very loud, service people very unengaged, and food was very average. The prices actually weren’t bad, but this was no gourmet meal. And I felt a little rushed through, like they were trying to keep the volume going.

Absolutely loved everything we ate! We will be back again and again. Not sure what took us so long to try out Founding Farers but it is a new favorite. There were clearly lots of families and kids at the restaurant on a weeknight at 6:30 but I was surprised that there is no kids menu. We were able to figure out child-friendly options easily enough with the server. It would be helpful to have a small kids menu so it is easier to figure out what can be done as child-sized options. Service was good, not great. But the food was outrageously good and portion sizes were quite large.

The experience at this restaurant was overall very positive. I had the chicken and donut meal as I love fried chicken and who doesn’t love donuts? As for the donut, it was amazing. The chicken needed a bit more flavor, but overall was great too. The Mac and cheese was a home run and the green beans were well seasoned. My boyfriend got steak frites which he ordered medium rare, but turned out to be about medium well in some parts. The ambiance was great for catching up with friends and we enjoyed the experience! 4 our of 5 overall.

Great concept, great service. The items we tasted (ham macaroni, meatloaf) were very good! My "Impossible Burger" was good but oddly garnished for a vege burger tasting of greens. Didn't go with pickles, lettuce, regular burger dressings. Cocktail menu is fun, but the Dark & Stormy" needed a bit more sweet ginger taste to be great. Overall happy, just personal preferences we can fix next visit!

This is my third visit and each one has been a good experience. The food is great, especially the corn bread—the bomb, I tried the trout and it was outstanding. I always get the fried green tomatoes but this time they were a bit hard and crispy. Otherwise everything else was great and I diffinetly would recommend it

The all-inclusive brunch for $32 is a worse than terrible bargain for pesce-vegetarians like me, and even worse for vegetarians and vegans. The restaurant is very skimpy about the passed food, doling it out sparingly and rarely. I was outraged to find out that although coffee is included, that is not decaf coffee - decaf coffee you can only get for an additional $6.50!! Also, great that there is signage for the main course buffet but why not carry that over to the dessert table? I will never do another brunch at any Founding Farmers. What a waste of money.

Buffet only is served on Saturday and Sunday at this location. It is NOT allergy friendly. Food had gluten and eggs in it without notifying customers. Also food was supposed to be carried around by wait staff and only - plate of deviled eggs was offered.

Food was wonderful as always. First time sitting in the back area, and boy was the service lacking! From start to finish our waiter was unimpressive to the point we had to flag down someone else for help.

Will go back but sure hope they work on the back room servers.
