American
Founding Farmers Tysons is a farmer owned restaurant that offers fresh food and drink with an emphasis and focus on cooking from scratch with ingredients sourced from near and far, from sources we trust, in a modern farmhouse setting. The bar is not to be missed, offering delicious scratch sodas, craft cocktails, and an all Virginia draught beer list; we'll have just the thing to quench your thirst.

Approximately 30% of the menu includes items inspired by the culinary traditions of Virginia in a modern way. Weekend brunch at Founding Farmers Tysons is BUFFET style, with a wide array of breakfast, lunch, salad, entree, and dessert options.

The restaurant is upscale casual, which welcomes business casual dress, and dress that would be appropriate in a nice restaurant; this includes jeans and athletic wear, and warm-weather clothing, including shorts.

While the food is always fantastic, the getting seated and service experiences are not professional or efficient.

I am always amazed at how crowded, noisy, and backed up the enterance is when there are so many open tables in the restaurant. Either get more help at the hostess stand or have the waiters or managers seat people during busy times.

While the service was not bad, it could have been more attentive. The waiter needs to be able to intuit that when the knife and fork are on the plates at 5 o'clock, his patrons are done with their meal. Pay closer attention to what's going on at their tables, and if you're not sure, ask

I'll probably come back for the great food, but will contiue to complain about the front of the house until you get it right.

The food was phenomenal and the service was outstanding. Our server took great care to ensure everything was great and we were all enjoying our dinner. It was very busy, so reservations are recommended.

Host that sat us seemed less than enthusiastic to be working there. When asked if we could sit in the multiple open booths, we were told no because we were two people. Waiter was friendly and helpful. Food was ok, seemed to have gone down in quality from when it first started. MANY of the dishes were COLD. Overall ambiance is something to be desired. Tables sit on top of each other and its really loud.

Our waiter was pleasant but too busy. Took a long time to get drinks. Appetizers came before them actually. Food was ok. But, it's really overpriced for what you get. Kettle corn was charred. There was no chicken in the pot pie. One of us ordered the fish of the day and asked for a double portion of greens instead of potatoes. Got no potatoes but only a couple of ounces of greens. I keep wanting to like this place so I keep coming back. I think I'm finished trying.

Food was excellent and tasty, service great, ambiance fantastic-this would be a place where I can be proud to take an out-of-towner to. The only thing is some tables are set up way too close to the next one so privacy in conversation is zero and my husband and I had to scream so that we can hear each other coz it's noisy. But, I still give them 5 stars and would definitely go back.

Arrived 20 min early for 6:15 reservation but due to communication mixup with hostess ended up being sat after reservation time and only because asked why we weren’t being seated when 6:20 rolled around. Manager apologized and comped some biscuits. Nice. Then we waited for almost 30 minutes to order drinks - waiter dropped off the free biscuits and water and came back 25 minutes later...Ribeye and spicy chicken were tasty as usual. Fried shrimp as well. Disappointed there are no longer flights of local beer. Service really needs to improve. Will give one more shot.

Overall, food was excellent. Check in went smoothly. They seated us almost exactly at the time of our reservation. The manager greeted us and took our appetizer order. From that point on the service was sub par. It took nearly 30 minutes to get our first order of drinks. There were very few check ins for refills . For desert we ordered 6 different cookies. Instead of bringing 6 different cookies the waitress brought us 3 cookies with two of each. We didn’t want that many as we wanted the specific cookies we ordered. Overall, I really like their lunch menu but the noise and service at dinner were not worth the price. With so many other restaurants competing for my dining dollars in the area, I would go somewhere else where they will at least be attentive.

Excellent appetizers, but the kitchen really let us down with our entrees, and while it's understandable that the bar is slammed, it really shouldn't take 30(ish) minutes to get a drink.

Two of our four entrees were cold when arrived (steak frites), fried chicken was obviously reheated (skin wasn't crispy, saturated with grease, etc), sides french fries wilted and soggy. Very disappointing, especially given the price point, and how good past service has been.

On the bright side, our waitress was excellent, and the hostess magnificent.

I really enjoy this restaurant. It's a nice restaurant that reminds me of that kind of place you can take your spouse and your boss equally as well. I never am disappointed and now they sell the Impossible Burger, so vegetarian burger lovers have something to eat that isn't pea or mushroom based!

Our group of 7 really went crazy - corn bread, biscuits, deviled eggs, farmers’ salad, pasta, fish.... great food and tasty strawberry soda! Too loud and at times deafening to point of downright annoying. This, and several confusions from bill tabulation errors (plural) are reasons for less then perfect score. Real standouts: my husband ordered apple pie - got 1/4 pie and was one of best slices of apple pie he has ever had - didn’t try but it looked spectacular including ribbon of caramel garnish. Another standout was pork porchetta with cannelloni beans, grilled veggies and mashed-potatoes looked amazing - nice deep sear on meat and great portions. My lobster mac n cheese was tasty but not amazing- great portion and full lobster tail but less then ideal mac n cheese with slightly over cooked pasta but slightly under cheesed under sauced

It was our first time for brunch. Overall, the food was really good. There is a little traffic issue getting into the buffet room, as plates are only in one place and it's not at the start of of food, and checking in was a zoo. Other than the logistics, the food and service was fantastic!

The only day available to meet with y friends was in the busiest day for the restaurant: Sunday brunch! We had two tables to sit our party. The staff did all they could to sit us close to each other. We ended up in one table which was wonderful and we were able to really enjoy each other’s company!!! Thank you so much!!!

It just made me worried for the future . What if they werent able to fit me in like they did this time. PLEASE WORK WITH OPEN TABLE AND FIND OUT THE PROBLEM.
