Founding Farmers Tysons is a farmer owned restaurant that offers fresh food and drink with an emphasis and focus on cooking from scratch with ingredients sourced from near and far, from sources we trust, in a modern farmhouse setting. The bar is not to be missed, offering delicious scratch sodas, craft cocktails, and an all Virginia draught beer list; we'll have just the thing to quench your thirst.

Approximately 30% of the menu includes items inspired by the culinary traditions of Virginia in a modern way. Weekend brunch at Founding Farmers Tysons is BUFFET style, with a wide array of breakfast, lunch, salad, entree, and dessert options.

The restaurant is upscale casual, which welcomes business casual dress, and dress that would be appropriate in a nice restaurant; this includes jeans and athletic wear, and warm-weather clothing, including shorts.

We went there for my husband’s birthday as he loves their chicken and waffles and this was his only request. We’ve only been to the one in Dc in the past. Tyson’s websites specifically advertises their chicken and waffles even under the weekend brunch description. However, when we got there, the only option they had for food was the $32 buffet with no other menu options. When asked about the chicken and waffles, the waiter told us that they do not carry waffles on the buffet, but have a variety of other food. My husband was disappointed and we ended up leaving as we did not feel like spending $32 per person on way more food than we would be able to eat.

Hostess failed to inform wait staff that reservation noted special occasion-birthday. Wait staff apologetic & brought complimentary dessert with candle.

It was great! Food was fantastic and service was attentive. It was hard to flag down my waiter a few times, but it wasn’t a dealbreaker. Love this place!

The food was good. The service was a tad slow, but overall it was worth it.

We got the NY Strip and Filet - both were properly cooked, and well seasoned. I had the carrot cake for dessert which was generously portioned very moist. My only real gripe is that the water doesn’t taste great.

I felt the atmosphere was very nice but the food was overpriced and underwhelming. It's a great concept but needs some fine tuning. For example, the steak was not as good as some we have grilled at home and for $38 it should be. The pot pie lacked substance. The biscuits were hard. The fried green tomatoes were bland. The fried chicken was good but not great. Grits were lumpy and dry. I didn't have an alcoholic beverage but I was told the whiskey sour was excellent. If the prices were lower I would return but for those prices I expect a better experience.

Absolutely too much noise. Had to raise our voices to speak with one another and be heard. No doubt the loudest and most distracting restaurant I have ever been to. Wpuld never recommend for a gathering where people want to have a relaxing noon meal.
