   I have had founding farmers food in DC and in MoCo and loved it. But the same dishes here are not as good and tasty.

   I'm always a bit skeptical about buffets, but the brunch buffet didn't disappoint. Everything I had was very good, and the fried green tomatoes as well as the bananas foster topping for the pancakes were excellent. I would go back.

   Nice restaurant with great ambiance, fantastic options for a Sunday brunch but it was a tad on the expensive side. We paid including tip $185 for a family of 5 with one child. I don’t believe this place is overpriced for the range of options for a Sunday brunch and it is by far one of the cleanest establishments I’ve ever come across but for the price we just didn’t consume that much so we paid for the novelty and not actually the food. I would prefer to dine there outside of brunch. Highly recommend overall.

   Food overall was good but I had undercooked green beans, the spicy chicken was not that spicy, and the mac & cheese needed a little bit more flavor. However that Jefferson donut was amazing. The fried green tomatoes were fantastic!

   Overall food was good. However, overall experience was undermined by the entrees being served a few minutes after the large appetizer. It seems that the layout of the restaurant keeps the servers out of sight of the table for extended periods of time. Onion rings and biscuits were excellent but some of the chicken was over cooked and dry.

   First time at this location. The entrance to this restaurant is very oddly placed and incongruent with the side walk (additional signage in the area would be greatly appreciated). Parking is validated in the nearby lots. Ordered the crab cakes (market price was $31) - they were decent but poorly seasoned and comes with coleslaw and fries. Crab + Artichoke dip had very little crabmeat and was oily. Drinks were stellar (ordered the Founders Mule). I would retry this restaurant but order something different.

    This was our first time visiting and we will definitely come back! The food was awesome and the staff/managers were super engaging with the diners. Very approachable and attentive! The manager working brought out our appetizer and even recommended another selection for our next visit. He was such a friendly and engaging person!! We really enjoyed the selection of fresh/sustainable food and loved the overall mission of the business. My partner is a dietician and loves cooking and experimenting with different food groups. She was overjoyed with the food quality and how it was prepared/presented. She even bought their cookbook with their recipes and other useful cooking information (she read it the whole way home). Overall, if you are looking for a relaxing place to eat with family/significant others or group of friends and get some awesome food and drinks, this is definitely a place to consider. We cant wait to come back!

    A little pricey, especially for lunch, although the portion size was equal to a dinner size so I shouldn't complain, but it would be nice to have a smaller portion with a lower price. Also, my waitress, who I was told by the others in my group is not new, didn't seem to know where the 'to go' boxes were. I wasn't able to finish my food as I'm a slow eater and we had to leave, so she brought me a cardboard box which wasn't apparent to me if it had any kind of plastic coating which would prevent the grease from getting through, so I asked if she had styrofoam or some other plastic. I clearly had multiple things on my plate I was taking home, yet she brought me only two small round containers. I said this isn't going to fit, it need more. Then she came with a large plastic black container made from plastic with an attached lid where everything would fit.

    The food here is always good. My husband had a salad with chicken that could have been a bit larger (it was an entree salad) and a bit more exciting, but the food and service was otherwise excellent. We've done brunch here, too, and brunch is off the charts wonderful.

    good food, good service, delicious desserts. only issue was we had reserved a booth in the bar area through open table, and when we arrived no booths had been reserved for us so we did not sit where we had requested.

    We were eating an early dinner before a Wolf Trap concert. This was our first time, and I can definitely see us going back. Reservations were a breeze through Open Table. We were taken straight to our table, no waiting. The waitperson was a little slow to come to our table at first, but that was the only small issue we had at Founding Farmers. Our drinks came out quickly, she was back quickly to take our app order, then again monitoring the table and taking our main course order. She had good recommendations for the meals, convincing me to get something that I was uncertain about, and she was spot on - it was perfect. Wife had a great meal as well. The one complaint would be my son's ravioli and tomato sauce - the plate was definitely watery. Not sure if the ravioli weren't drained or the sauce was runny, but not a good presentation. However, he said he really liked the flavor of the dish, so no complaints there. Desert was a hit also, so an all around winner.

    They forgot to bring out or make the salad prior to the main courses. They didn’t ask to refill our water at any point. In adddition to that the check was dropped off without offering a dessert menu. They also need to write down the orders so as not to forget things like salad. They were very friendly and courteous and that helped

    First time at this location and we loved the outdoor seating, perfect for 4. Food and service were excellent. Crab cake was a little over cooked, but still tasty. Risotto could have been a little more creamy, but the flavor was amazing. I will be back again!

    The food is always good at Founding Farmers. Whenever I have out of town guests, I try to take them to one of the restaurants. When family come to visit they always ask to go. This is the first time we tried the chips, dips, spreads, crisps appetizer. It was a lot of food. We like the dips except for the mustard one. The fried chicken was a huge serving. And we liked that the fries came in their own fry basket with the steak frites. The guava soda was the soda of the month. It was good - not too sweet and a bit tart.

    All the food was great, the shrimp and fried chicken were delicious, but the brisket was hard to chew. The desserts were amazing specially key lime pie and cheese cake. Popcorn were a little sticky. The ambiance was nice. My family and I were in an outdoor table, we had a good and relax time.

    Great experience. We really loved the fresh ingredients. We ordered the braised short rib, salmon, and pork ribs. We also tried the homemade soda and sparkling seltzer for drinks, we enjoyed the seltzer more than the soda.

    Food was good my risotto was a bit bland but the scallops were tasty. Good selection of beer and cocktails. Everyone seemed to like their meals. Service was a bit slow but we weren't in a rush so that was fine.

    Our food was just okay. On the pot roast, the vegetables weren’t done at all, but on the meatloaf, the outside was over done and too hard to eat. Our waiter was decent but he seemed almost irritated with us and our order, and didn’t check on us much.

    Check in host was rude. We were seating at our appointed reservation time despite the host. Waitress was outstanding and very friendly, but the restaurant was packed and service was slow due to demands on the kitchen. Once we did get our food, it was great. We will go back, but mabe not on a holiday weekend…

    Brought my dad here for Father’s Day. He had the pot roast which was spectacular as always and I had the turkey, which was also quite good. Seated promptly, service was wonderful. All around great experience!

    We love your restaurant normally but last night our service was so slow, the food came out cold and we waited forever for everything. We definitely won’t be coming back anytime near a holiday again, hoping that’s all this was and our next experience isn’t this bad.
