Approximately 30% of the menu includes items inspired by the culinary traditions of Virginia in a modern way. Weekend brunch at Founding Farmers Tysons is BUFFET style, with a wide array of breakfast, lunch, salad, entree, and dessert options.
The restaurant is upscale casual, which welcomes business casual dress, and dress that would be appropriate in a nice restaurant; this includes jeans and athletic wear, and warm-weather clothing, including shorts.
Awesome food as always. Wait staff very attentive. Beverage refills were always on time. Never had to ask. Will be back soon!
It was amazing and great service just took awhile to be seated as they was very busy and seemed a bit unprepared.
Our server (wish I remembered his name) was excellent. Very attentive and gave the best off the menu whiskey recommendation! Explain the menu well. I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak and Jefferson Donut and was blown away. I rarely finish an entire meal but the steak was cooked just right with a crispy exterior, the mac and cheese was to die for, green beans were solid, and the donut was the perfect touch to the meal.
Nice selection of food for everyone to include the items not offered on the buffet. Great service and atmosphere.
I went on a Sunday for brunch. I had a reservation so I didn’t have to wait longer than 5 minutes although others were there longer that didn’t have a reservation. The server was nice but wasn’t very attentive. Although it was buffet style they said they offered passed items. The waiter only came once with the passed items and I didn’t indulge because it was something I didn’t eat. The food was average and I did find hair in my food but didn’t make a big deal because it’s bugfet style and not covered so it could have been another customers hair. What I didn’t like the most was the wait or bought the check before I asked for it which made me feel like I had to rush.
My family visited the Founding Farmers to celebrate our sisters 65th birthday. We had a wonderful time and really enjoyed the brunch. The food was fresh and absolutely delicious .The hostess and our waitress were great. We had an extra person who showed up at our celebration, and didn’t have a seat,when I went to address the problem with the hostess and our waitress they reacted right away, and fixed the problem in a matter of seconds. The Founding Farmers has Relaxing environment, good food , and the service is absolutely wonderful.

This spot is phenomenal! Their top best dishes would have to be the cornbread, spicy fried chicken & donut, and the CARROT CAKE 😋.
I also ordered the classic deviled eggs, they needed salt but good thereafter. The fries were cut fresh with salt added they were delicious. For my drink I ordered the ‘El Presidente’, this consisted of rum, pineapple, grenadine, and lime I believe. The bartender did an outstanding job because it was the perfect mix!
Fun Fact: Their ice cubes are imported and all made the same size & shape. 🙃
All of their bakery is made from scratch even down to the hand churred ice cream. The carrot cake was simply amazzzzziiiiinnnnggggggg ! It’s served with vanilla ice cream.
I definitely plan to return soon, I’ve heard their brunch is pretty good too!
i might for the buffet brunch our water bottle has floating things in it hard to get attention drinks took almost 20 minutes to get (1 vodka/cranberry 1-glass wine) wine was over priced by the glass 15.00???
crab louie salad was in a bowl with sopping wet lettus at the bottom of the bowl and I asked for no onion no avadcado and both came in my salad!! 2nd time in a row we came and were disappointed

Should inform customers there is corn in the cornbread. That was unappetizing. The sauces that accompanied the “chips” appetizer were bad to mediocre, two had no flavor. The green beans were bland and flavorless. The pasta in the Mac and cheese was mushy. The spicy chicken was well prepared, the “non” spicy chicken was okay but not above quality and flavor of many fast food brands. The burger was outstanding. Doughnut was nice. The coffee was excellent.
Would not recommend to friends. Would come back to try the buffet. That might be better.
I made a reservation and even then we had to wait an additional 30 minutes to be seated because they accepted way more reservations than they clearly could handle. It was complete chaos in there. The set up for the was terrible. There was no clear indications where the lines started and people were just bumping into each other trying to get through them. The food quality was mediocre. It was cold and some of the food was way to salty. I ordered drinks and it seemed to take forever to get them. I was truly disappointed overall. Not worth what we paid.
Wish I'd known that we could have ordered the eggs benedict, pancakes, pot pie, shrimp etc. BEFORE we went to the buffet. Not knowing about those options and then filling up on other items first kind of tainted the experience. Still it was a nice experience and the staff was very helpful.
We had a great brunch on Saturday. Service was excellent. Gilda was our server and she was always there to provide whatever we needed. Food was delicious.
First time here for the weekend brunch. Food was tasty and the service was even better. My only issue (not a big one) was the location of the buffet being next to the front entrance/waiting area. If seated in upper-rear section of the restaurant the walk back and forth along with sometimes having to squeeze between people waiting to be seated might be a slight hassle. Otherwise, nothing to complain about and would be back.
The food was good, but we couldn’t eat enough comfortably at the brunch buffet to justify $32.50 each (plus drinks) for very basic dishes. The pastries were great, but again, one can only consume so much sugar at one sitting. I guess we wouldn’t have thought that much about the prices if our experience was excellent. We don’t mind paying for good food and service. I could list a number of examples, but to save time I will say that the service was poor which lowered the value of the overall experience. It was our first visit and unfortunately, will be our last.
Fried green tomatoes, biscuits, drinks, and donuts were awesome. My impossible burger was dry and chewy, and the BBQ sauce had little flavor. Our waitress was nice in the beginning but then she got weird - we asked her if they served shooters and she looked at us like we were speaking a different language and said "uhhh I mean we have oyster shooters," then when my boyfriend asked if she liked the chicken or steak more, she said "well one is chicken and one is steak." Then, my friend offered me a bite of her pasta and the waitress said "what do you not like your food" and then my friend had to explain that she was just offering me a bite. She just got very strange and hostile, but I know that the restaurant trains their staff to be friendly and helpful, so I am not sure why she was acting that way but it was quite unpleasant.
The only good thing about my experience at Found Farmers Tysons was the cornbread. My chicken was bland, mashed potatoes were just warm, and the collard greens were not good at all!
My friend and I went there for the first time and it was so good. We are going to go back.

I absolutely enjoyed dining here for Valentine's Day. Seating was a breeze and everyone was so kind and friendly. It was loud due to music playing and large amount of guests at the bar but Valentine's Day was expected to be a busy night. Parking is not really clear as you need to "validate" your parking but when I asked a server they didn't know and unfortunately I ended up paying for parking. It was even cheaper to use their valet in the end which we will most likely do next time. The food is absolutely amazing definitely worth the prices. Though they are high, you can taste the freshness. The only downside was that they only make their specialty drinks at the bar. When asked about a Mojito, they said they don't make them. Our server Jhamila was one of the best servers I have ever encountered. She was ready to answer any questions since we were new and even explained a little history about Founding Farmers. All in all a great Valentines dinner and I would definitely go back on a normal night.

This was our first time at Founding Farmers, but it won't be our last! The food was delicious and the portions were large. My husband ordered the crab cakes and he loved that they were meaty and not just filler. I had the fish of the day which was the Rockfish and it was wonderful; tasted like a summer evening at the beach. Each staff member we encountered (the hostess, our waitress Kira, food servers, etc) was friendly and efficient. Because it was Valentine's Day, the restaurant was crowded which made it quite noisy. We want to return during the week to enjoy our meal with less noise.

Founding farmers is best for brunch. The dinner menu is very limited and the food is rich and high in calories (also, no kids menu). Some entrees are great, others are not. The fries were soggy and looked burnt. The fried chicken sandwich itself was really good, but the side of braised greens I ordered left much to be desired - no flavor at all. We were disappointed there were no entree or dessert specials for Valentine's Day. We will be back for brunch.
Great food, wonderful service - one star off for the 'all parties must be present to seat' reservation policy. We were unaware of the policy and had to wait 30 minutes until our group stragglers arrived.

It started off promising with great recommendations from our server for the sodas for the teens. But then went slowly downhill. We ordered the bacon lollies, as a favorite, but I think they changed the recipe as they weren’t as tasty. Our plates were taken away and then The Spicy carb dip came out with only 4 pieces of toasted bread for a table of 6 and a large serving of the dip, however no plates so waited for about 10 minutes trying to flag someone down so we could have plates and then another 10 to get more toasted bread for the dip. The overall meal was tasty, but the noise level made it really hard to have conversation across the table. It was our first time sitting in the dinning area near the bar. For Dessert they didn’t have the Cinnamon donut that was recommended for my son, it was his birthday, so that held up dessert, and all the while we sat there waiting for our coffee, which didn’t come until the kids were finished with their desserts. We too had ordered a donut to share for dessert, but they had run out. Mind you this was 7:15 pm, not ordering at 9 pm or the last dinner service. The banquettes’ upholstery was torn and ripped in places, along with the chairs we sat in. I’m not sure we’ll go here again.
Got a cherry lime rickey to drink and it was so sour it was almost undrinkable. The cornbread appetizer was barely warm with a tiny bit of butter to share. I had salmon which was good but the vegetable medley was cold. Not warm but cold. The mashed potatoes were like warm at best. The service was fine but I won’t come back any time soon.
Reservation for 6 was seated around 6:26. Waiter was very polite and kept our glasses full even though the water was on our table. Tables are on the smaller side, not much spare room besides your meal.

Founding Farmers, so was excited to try it with the family. Really liked the decor, rustic and inviting yet still modern. The food was good and the portions were just right filling our hungry bellies.
Turn offs: only kid friendly thing in the restaurant was a cup with a lid and a changing table in the buildings shared bathroom (exit the restaurant and its down the hall). Aside from one other baby, we were the only ones with children in the joint? Perhaps that is what is desired? But when i think farm, I think family. Other turn off was the wait. Even with reservations, we waited 10 minutes for our table, only to discover there was plenty of room /empty tables?
Great food and great atmosphere. Our seat was available when promised and we did not feel rushed to leave after we finished eating. Will definitely be back!

A bit on the pricey side but the food is usually pretty good and service is generally pretty good. Reservations are required.
Overall, we really like the restaurant, but this particular visit wasn't the best. My husband and I were there for dinner with our our teenage son. When we placed our food order, the waiter read it back to us and everything was correct. Unfortunately, when the food arrived, the person who brought the food (not our waiter) served our son a Spicy Fried Chicken platter instead of the Chicken Fried Steak (I know, teenage boy...) that he ordered. Seeming very confused, the server took the plate back to the kitchen without saying anything. My husband and I waited a bit to start on our dinners, but it became clear that our son's food wasn't coming out any time soon. Our waiter eventually came by to half-heartedly apologize about the "confusion," and said the order would be out soon. After my husband had already eaten all of his dinner, yet another person finally brought out our son's, and again apologized for the "confusion." There was no mention of any kind of discount or even the ubiquitous "free dessert" (we ordered two) to compensate for the error. Very disappointing. I would be reluctant to take business associates or out of town guests with time constraints to this restaurant.
