Founding Farmers Tysons is a farmer owned restaurant that offers fresh food and drink with an emphasis and focus on cooking from scratch with ingredients sourced from near and far, from sources we trust, in a modern farmhouse setting. The bar is not to be missed, offering delicious scratch sodas, craft cocktails, and an all Virginia draught beer list; we'll have just the thing to quench your thirst. Approximately 30% of the menu includes items inspired by the culinary traditions of Virginia in a modern way. Weekend brunch at Founding Farmers Tysons is BUFFET style, with a wide array of breakfast, lunch, salad, entree, and dessert options. The restaurant is upscale casual, which welcomes business casual dress, and dress that would be appropriate in a nice restaurant; this includes jeans and athletic wear, and warm-weather clothing, including shorts.

My trout was amazing - some of the best I've ever had (and I'm fairly picky concerning fish.) The appetizers were tasty and made me eager for the main course. Only regret? Not having room for the desert.

This is the best of the 3'ish Founding Farmers in the DC area. It's always a high quality and delicious meal for a fair price.

Considering I was there with a party of 6 @ 3p in the afternoon,, and there were hardly any customers, service was slow, and less than attentive to the details. To have to ask for ketchup for a little boy’s sandwich 3 times of 3 different staff, and have it forgotten tells the story in my book.
The food at the Tysons restaurant is not nearly as good as it is at Potomac Park or foggy Bottom. I ordered the eggplant and got a huge portion of pasta and a tiny tower of eggplant. Both were tasty enough, but did I want all those extra carbs? Nope!
The apple pie was good, the Mojito chock full of ice., the steak frites were tough and over cooked.
You decide... but those were my group’s experiences.

Good experience but not without it's flaws. Ordered two lunch entrees. The mashed potatoes were tasty but luke warm. The green beens were essentially raw. The sauce on the Rockfish overpowered the delicate fish, but I simply scraped it off. Chocolate cake and cappuccino were excellent. Too noisy to have a meaningful conversation.

Good place for tasty traditional meals. The three of us had prime rib, pot roast and shrimp and eggplant pasta. All were tasty, and done right. The pot roast was particularly notable - fork tender; the shrimp was somewhat overcooked but the pasta dish was tasty; the prime rib was done as desired and tender. Place was definitely moderately loud and one had to use raised voices to converse.

I can’t say enough great things about Founding Farmers. I have heard great things and they did not disappoint. Very nice atmosphere- greeted with the amazing smell of baked goods. Wow!!!! We got the cornbread and bacon lollies to start and then the spicy chicken with Jefferson donut. All truly outstanding!!

We had a reservation at 630. We arrived early, they said our table was being cleaned. I told the hostess we’d be at the bar. We weren’t seated until almost 7pm. I asked a couple times about our table and was abruptly told they were still cleaning.

Our waitress was not familiar with the gluten free options and seemed put out when I asked about the meals. She was very hard to get ahold of and we had to wait a long time in between drink refills, including water. Our table easily spent $500, Id expect better service for my money.

We went for the Sunday brunch. The selection of food was great. It ranged from breakfast items to heave lunch items. There was a dessert section as well. The service was top notch and very friendly. The coffee was delicious. Will go again and soon!

I attended brunch at the RESTON location so I didn’t check the Tyson’s menu. Tysons brunch is buffet and I couldn’t order from the menu. A lot of the food looked picked over and we were seated 20-25 mins after our reservation.

If I got back for brunch, it will be to the Reston location only.

Can I just say that the brunch at Founding Farmers - Tysons was one of the best brunches that my husband and I have had? I took him here yesterday to celebrate his birthday, and wow.....just wow.....Everything we ate was delicious. It was so bad we had to ask our wonderful server, Whitney to take our plates away because we could not stop eating, even though we were so stuffed that we seriously needed a bed at that point. I rate places as highly on food as service, and Whitney was wonderful. She was so sweet, so nice, we loved her. And Noel, another server who would bring around other fabulous food choices was equally as nice, funny and awesome. I am so glad that I brought my husband here for his special day. We have already raved to friends and family about this place, and how we have to all come back. We can't wait. Thank you Founding Farmers. We will be back, definitely! Hats off to the amazing staff, your amazing chefs, and wonderful restaurant.

Food very good

Service really not what it was year or two ago

No one going around with coffee refill that seems for brunch tone a no brainer. You got the bread bacon guys around but no coffee juice milk water guys.

Took long time to get the cocktails

And so long to get the milk and coffee you don’t want it anymore

Service not good

I think We will go elsewhere for brunch

And the price is ridiculous

But the valet parking of Mercedes, stingray, corvette, Tesla, bmw seem to be ok with it not my rav4

I’m taking founding Farmers of the favorites

Not sure if the farmers can afford it or like the service

I missed the part where they only serve the buffet brunch on the weekends. That wasn't a huge problem - I didn't mind being flexible.

The selection at the buffet was excellent, but the biggest problem was the serving temperature of the items. By the time I got back to my table half of the "hot" food was too cold to really appreciate.

The on-request items were nice to have available, and I figured maybe that would be a better route to take... but they also came out lukewarm and got cold quickly. It didn't help that I was not given appropriate cutlery to use - try cutting the english muffin on your eggs benedict with a butter knife sometime. (Spoiler: it's a mess.)

I heard very good things about this place, and I can tell the food is very well made - but the lukewarm serving temperature really made it hard to appreciate that quality. The final straw is the price point. Maybe I'm out of touch with what a good brunch buffet costs, but $33 a person?? Yikes. Maybe if some fancier beverages were included, but still. Not to mention adding parking and tip on top of that...

If I'm going to pay that much for a brunch, I expect much, much better. Sorry guys, I won't be back, and I can't recommend this place at all.

Hi webnerd: Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. I am so sorry for the poor preparation of our many buffet items, and also feel badly for the confusion about our parking- we actually do validate up to 2 hours, so you do not have to pay. :( Of course, our full team is super saddened by the disappointing outcome to your visit this time, and I would love the chance to connect & hopefully turn this around! I will send you a DM with my email address. -Amy

Honestly, I am very disappoint. First I had reservation at 8:00 pm and it took 45 minutes to take us to our table. To noisy and food wasn’t good as usual.

I can’t recommend this place because I don’t want any bad comments from my friends.

Overall experience was great but we had to wait additional 20 mins from our original reservation. We also were seated at the opposite end from where the brunch food was located so it was a bit annoying to walk the entire restaurant for a plate.

It was our first time at this location for brunch. The server failed to mention all the dishes that cook per order in the kitchen. We saw other tables have the different items from the buffet so I ask the server after she has drop our check she told us she forgot to tell us. So our dining experience was not good.
