Founding Farmers Tysons is a farmer owned restaurant that offers fresh food and drink with an emphasis and focus on cooking from scratch with ingredients sourced from near and far, from sources we trust, in a modern farmhouse setting. The bar is not to be missed, offering delicious scratch sodas, craft cocktails, and an all Virginia draught beer list; we'll have just the thing to quench your thirst. Approximately 30% of the menu includes items inspired by the culinary traditions of Virginia in a modern way. Weekend brunch at Founding Farmers Tysons is BUFFET style, with a wide array of breakfast, lunch, salad, entree, and dessert options. The restaurant is upscale casual, which welcomes business casual dress, and dress that would be appropriate in a nice restaurant; this includes jeans and athletic wear, and warm-weather clothing, including shorts.

Took my husband to a veterans day lunch. It was overall a good experience. We’re new to the area and saw their Veterans Day deal so we tried it. Full price would have been expensive for the spread provided, but I know cooking for a massive slew of people on a big day is probably not as good as the standard day. Will definitely go back.

Good selection on the brunch, food was very good. Service was not that good, especially when the server only really dealt with bringing drinks, one of which she forgot altogether. Sort of a lackluster attitude, didn’t seem really into the job at all. Great military discount which we were able to take advantage of.

Bartender didn't know how to make an Old Fashioned . . both times he got it wrong and each were both different than the previous drink. Sad.

I love the founding farmers in DC (as well as the other locations in DC) and have frequented them quite regularly. This location is lovely and the staff was efficient and friendly. The food, however, was just not as good. The meatloaf is one of my all time favorites and it was overcooked here.... every time I have had it in DC it has been perfect. The fried chicken and apps we ordered were ok. The apple pie dessert was wonderful. Given the prices, I would not come back to this location.

After hearing so many rave reviews about this place our family decided to try it. The chicken pot pie was so runny it was more like a watered down soup. The fish portion of the fish and chips was good but the fries were so overcooked that they would literally break your teeth. Did not try the chips in the basket. The two people who ordered meatloaf were disappointed. Said it was extremely bland and “unusual.” We also ordered biscuits as an appetizer. The biscuits were nothing to write home about. And I’m sorry but To send out a tiny little container with just a dollop of jam and another container with one dollop of butter is ridiculous. Four biscuits required more than one little tablespoon of butter. And don’t order an alcoholic beverage. My jack and ginger was 99% Ginger ale and 1% Jack Daniels. I have the photos to prove it. In all honesty, we could’ve gotten a better meal at cheesecake factory

I heard so many great things about Founding Fathers I recommended that my sisters & I brunch there this past Saturday. We were definitely not disappointed. Everything from the food, ambience & service was perfect. We’ll definitely be back.

Fantastic food selection on the weekend brunch buffet. They get very busy so I recommend making a reservation. Don't expect attentive service during the buffet. But again the food is amazing!!

The noise level made it very difficult to have a conversation (even after we were moved to a marginally “better” table). The tomato soup was not good and my friend only had 2-3 spoonfuls. The tuna on top of the salad was a very small portion and the dish would have been easier to eat w a spoon. The selection of beer was quite limited; had to pick something outside of the most popular pale ales and was not very good.

I had high expectations as I had dined at the downtown location 2 years ago. We sat at the bar for 10 minutes without getting a drink or placing a drink order. Similar delay once we were seated at a table. Food was meh 2 burgers and fish special. The mashed potatoes were good though.

We LOVE FF and visit fairly regularly. But this was the first time we were disappointed with the quality of our desserts. Both the Jefferson donuts and Macarons were not to the level they have been in the past-dry and stale. Tasted like they were day old. And there were only 1 flavor of donuts and 2 flavors of macarons which is not normal. Not even flavors mentioned on the menus.
Kind of disappointing for our anniversary celebration.

The drinks and the desserts where very good. The food however seems very simple for such an upscale location. The plating was very basic and the flavors were not outstanding considering the price. The portion size was good though.
5 stars to the pastry team though!

Took my team here for a celebration dinner after winning a major National Intelligence Award. Although a tad expensive (most were military enlisted), the food was good. Was nice to have validated parking garage next door. We ordered a myriad of appetizers, drinks and dishes. Everyone shared so that we could taste everything. Overall, everyone was happy with the food and drinks. The wait staff was FANTASTIC!

Menu is different than the DC and MoCo. locations. For some reason they don't have chicken and waffles, but chicken and donuts... They should offer the original.

Although we enjoyed the unique food styles - many of the entree’s are dry and / or overcooked. But our waiter was attentive and the ambience made up for it. It was my birthday celebration so it’s slightly disappointing.

Not sure what has happened at FF, but the quality and service have deteriorated significantly. There were no valets this time, even though they now charge for valet. The last few times we've been, we've had to wait 10-15 minutes for a table even though we have a reservation. Service at our last meal was very disappointing. The waitress didn't welcome us, was not knowledgeable about the menu, took too long bringing drinks and condiments, and generally seemed like she'd rather be anywhere other than serving us. The food was also sub-par. The crab dip was lukewarm in the middle. The polenta with the fried chicken was also room temperature and looked like it had been sitting under a heat lamp too long. The fish and chips were soggy and came with about a 1/4 cup of fries. They were out of the apple pie.
Too bad because FF used to be one of our favorite spots in Tysons. Not sure we'll go back.

The service was slow, nice , but extremely slow. The appetizers all three of them were not very good. Each of us got a separate meal and none of them had any flavor no seasoning and were in edible. I’m not sure how gravy has no flavor I’m not sure how a steak has no flavor but there was absolutely nothing worth coming back for.

First, I want to point out that the manager on duty was VERY attentive to us once we had voiced our concerns. Additionally the manager was excellent in providing remediation. So I thank her for that.

That said, 2 of the 4 meals we ordered came out cold. We had to ask 3 times to get one of the drinks we ordered. The server would disappear for protracted periods of time (I note it did appear he had multiple tables). Additional items we ordered (more butter and jelly for the biscuits) took over 10 minutes to reach the table. You need to do better!

In short the experience was quite disappointing. Especially disconcerting for a restaurant group such as Founding Farmers. You need to do better.

I would recommend for a date or outing with friends but not if you want to have an in depth conversation. the service is slow and the waiters are inattentive and it took so long after I asked for the dessert menu we decided against dessert. please improve on service and the vegetarian offerings.
