Founding Farmers - Tysons
We visited during a restaurant week in January 2020, it was packed, we still waited 30 minutes for a table, however the food was worth it. Service was outstanding, and our waitress was very knowledgeable off the menu. I had the spicy fried chicken which was excellent, and My wife was very happy with the pot roast.
We came here for restaurant week for work as a team lunch and unfortunately service was so awful none of my teammates will be returning. To start the server tried to tell us we were not eligible for restaurant week even though we had previously confirmed our group size was. She then had to go confirm that with management. The entire meal took almost two hours! One of our appetizers was incorrect. Our server came around after we had finally received our appetizers (which took way to long to receive) to verify our entree orders which hadn't even been placed yet! Thank goodness she did verify the orders because half of them she had wrong. There was no checking in on us to let us know if our food would be arriving soon and the server was just primarily absent the entire time. One teammate had to send their food back after a hair was found in it. Service finally started being attentive at the end when another server seemed to take over our table.
We had a 7:15 reservation on a Wednesday night. We waited 30 min for our table to be ready. Each table has multiple servers so we found that no one felt accountable to our table so it took a long time to order, to get the check, and to pay. The food was ok, nothing amazing. It was also very, very loud which made conversation difficult. This is my third time eating there and each time I’m disappointed with the wait time (with reservations), service, and noise level. I don’t think I’ll be back again.
Our waiter was great (wish I could remember his name) and the food was amazing , no issues with anything.

It's fine for different palates but definitely overrated.
Seated on time and got water within 5 min but then another 25 min passed before anyone stopped to check on us or take an order of any kind. When I flagged someone down, they were outwardly put-upon that I had done so. (I thought the whole idea of going out for a meal was to be waited on?)
After that, the service was better. The food was amazing. Made the entire trip totally worth it.
Nice atmosphere and I could totally have been happy at the bar.
The food was great and so tasty, but the service is a little off. The waitress got our bill wrong 2 times, and it took so much time for her correcting it and bring it back, so we waited for almost 15 minutes and some of my friends had to leave and only I was waiting for the correct bill. And then when I asked for a paper bag for my take out food, I waited and waited again. The person never come back for the bag so finally the other lady asked me what I was waiting for. They didn’t even have any bags left. Kinda disappointed at the service.
I usually go to the one in Reston, was a bit disappointed with the cleanliness and food quality in the Tysons one. This is the second time I go there and it's not as clean as the one in Reston. I orederd a vegeterian dish and there was a piece of chicken in there! Service is great .
Nice spot, 4th or 5th time.

Great place to fellowship, we had a nice time eating the delicious food. I was pleased with the food portion, I had enough for dinner and a snack for lunch. Can’t wait until our next visit😀
The food is excellent with a great environment to enjoy it. Please try the apple pie - beyond my expectations.

I think the brunch is a little expensive. Could come down a couple bucks.
Brunch was outstanding but rather expensive at $36/person. Still there is something for even the pickiest diners. Everything is noted with dietary information. The food is very well prepared and ranges from the basics like scrambled eggs to the more uncommon like unique mac and cheese and slab bacon.
Everything was excellent! The brunch buffet was full of options & the service was fantastic! The bacon lollipops were phenomenal!!!
We had a 7:45 reservation and weren't seated until after 8:15. Our server, Chris, was great and very attentive. For our app, we ordered the Virginia Ham & Biscuits and they were tasty. Unfortunately, our entrees, the Stuffed Pork Tenderloin and the Crab Macaroni & Cheese were mediocre. The pork was overcooked and bland. The pasta was flavorless. The food was disappointing and not the quality I come to expect from Founding Farmers.

Thank you for seating us at a quiet table away from the bar as requested. Our table of 5 ordered a variety of meals and all were very good. Mine was the Ahi Tuna Poke and it was terrific.
Staff did a great job accommodating a very disorganized group of folks getting together to celebrate a baby shower.
My coworkers and their spouses attended brunch there. We all agreed that the food was great, lots of variety and great service

Our party of four did not remember ever being asked if we were interested in dessert. I love most of the desserts there and really missed out. We were also very shocked not to be able to have Kettle Corn that evening, it was one of the things I really wanted to show off. Also, to find out that you no longer make the cold presses juices was a real shock. All in all the experience was good though, our server was great, the food was really good too. The manager coming by to check on us was a nice touch as well. Thank you

This Founding Farmers location has a slightly different menu than others that I have been to (I don't remember Hot Dogs at the other locations). Nonetheless, both of us were able to find something that was good. It was very crowded and somewhat noisy but didn't detract too much from the overall environment.

We had a large party of 9 and understand the busy atmosphere, but our server was very inattentive and did not give timely service, nor was she very engaging. There was no other server helping. It took almost 30 minutes to order dinner, because our server took our drinks orders and did not return for a long time. I would suggest better organization for staffing for such reservations. I won't return with a large party. If the gratuity was not included for the large party, we would not have been generous.
The food was great.
Having to travel far to the bathroom was very inconvenient.
Overall good service. Appetizers and meals good. Good setting for casual business meal. Parking convenient - get your ticket validated and it’s free. Bathroom two levels up in main building confusing/inconvenient (restaurant bathrooms out of service). Actually had two adjacent tables of twelve for business dinner. Host pushed second table to hurry up and fill it or lose it - could have been handled better - 6 of us were 15 minutes late. I figure even if it’s just 18 persons, probably could have used better judgement handling versus pushing guests to hurry up or lose it. I understand restaurant wants to fill and maximize utilization.
Food and Restaurant is always top notch! Our regular team member is Diego and he always makes the experience a pleasant one. His authenticity and a smile goes a long long way! Can’t say enough about the entire staff but if you have the opportunity to get Diego you’re sure to not regret it!
We love founding Farmers and frequently go there but this visit was a let down. Waiter totally for my hot tea for about 10-15 minutes and then we asked to take our left overs and they accidentally threw them away. The manager did come see us but still come on FF your better than that

What I love about Founding Farmers is the variety on the menu and the cocktails. I usually order wine when I'm eating out, but this time I ordered one of the featured cocktails and it was so refreshing and different! The staff are wonderful. They are attentive but don't hover, and we never felt rushed. Great experience.
Great service from Matt. However, Bathrooms were closed and we were redirected to an office building where there appeared to be one stall which created a line outside the bathroom (on a monday at 1pm) after having unlimited beverage and I needed to go bad :( Crab cakes were unimpressive and full of filler.
Service was very good and food was delicious. I feel the tables are a little too close together It felt like we were crowded into the space.
the food was good but seriously how do you mess up brunch! Scrambled eggs! I wish they had regular bacon not small pieces of slab bacon. People around got deviled eggs and fried shrimp around us but I guess they missed us. I don't want to have to say what did they get and why didn't i? But I was there with friends and we had a nice time. I say a made to order omelette bar should be added! Or maybe add some quiches! All in all a nice time.

Everything a brunch should be. I quality food and good service.
This was our first time trying the buffet and we were not impressed. The food was just lukewarm and so not what I was expecting. I've been to Founding Farmers a couple of times in the past and I loved it so this time was disappointing. I will come back but I will not do the brunch buffet again. I'll stick to the dinner.
