Founding Farmers Tysons is a farmer owned restaurant that offers fresh food and drink with an emphasis and focus on cooking from scratch with ingredients sourced from near and far, from sources we trust, in a modern farmhouse setting. The bar is not to be missed, offering delicious scratch sodas, craft cocktails, and an all Virginia draught beer list; we'll have just the thing to quench your thirst.

Approximately 30% of the menu includes items inspired by the culinary traditions of Virginia in a modern way. Weekend brunch at Founding Farmers Tysons is BUFFET style, with a wide array of breakfast, lunch, salad, entree, and dessert options.

The restaurant is upscale casual, which welcomes business casual dress, and dress that would be appropriate in a nice restaurant; this includes jeans and athletic wear, and warm-weather clothing, including shorts.

Made a reservation and had a surprise guest join us. Host staff and manager were very accommodating. Nice menu, lots of options without so many its overwhelming. Staff was busy but handled it well with a great attitude. The Brie appetizer is awesome. Spicy chicken is a must. Apple pie is huge and super fresh. Staff will validate parking too.

Paid a visit based on very high expectations and recommendations. Ordered the Chicken pie which ended up being cream of chicken soup, runny consistency and literally one piece of chicken. I should have said something, but my parents came to visit from far for my birthday and did not want to make a scene. Maybe my expectations were too high? Service and ambience -cannot fault.

This is one of our favorite restaurants so when my boss came to town it was a no brainer to bring him here. Service and food are always great and I’ve never had a single thing from the menu that I regretted ordering. You can’t go wrong with any of it. Do yourself a favor and ask to sit in Austin’s section when you go. He’s incredibly friendly, he made sure to check on us in a timely manner to see if we needed anything, and his recommendations were spot on.

Not sure why reservations are required when you have to wait every time you make them. Also, I know the front reception is busy, but they can make an effort to smile and be a bit more friendly. Two for two on not being welcoming.

We've visited the Tyson's location a few times with subpar service, but this last visit took the cake. Before our order was taken, we had 3 servers visit us, either bringing water (first time was dirty) or coming to tell us our server would be with us shortly. While the appetizers came out relatively quickly, we waited for 30+ minutes (WITH an impatient baby & toddler who both eat table food). Everything after that just dragged, whether it was requesting more ketchup, or the check. We normally order drinks other than water & dessert for the table, but felt like we couldn't. A relatively "quick" meal (we have visited the Reston location with much better service) turned into almost 2.5 hrs & effectively ruined the rest of the nights' plans. This was the straw that broke the camel's back, & we most likely will not return to this location.

I chose to celebrate my birthday at brunch on Sunday, April 14 and it was outstanding! The key is to get there early and pace yourself. There's so many wonderful things to try, you don't want to get full too soon!

I have been to this place several times. Our waiter was nice but it really took a long time for everything to come. Food was ok. Had better before. Kind of disappointed because I really liked this one place. May be a long time before I decide to go back.

The food was great but the service was terrible. We were a party of 6 and they sat us at a table where we all had to slide out to let everyone go up for our meal, the waiter was very unhappy that we were in his area. He asked if someone sat us or die ww just sit ourselves. From there he was not happy. We had to ask for water, extra napkins that never came. Overall service was terrible. This was my 2nd visit. The first was 3 weeks ago and I was extremely happy but this visit I was disappointed.

I've always loved the franchise but this last visit left me a bit annoyed. Our server was nice but I mentioned several times that my guest and I hadn't seen each other in 10 years and wanted to catch up over dinner. He came back nearly every 4 minutes asking us for our order. To be clear, we ordered 2 apps first, along with a cocktail and a mocktail. We felt pressured to order our meal as he just hovered. My guest and I just randomly picked something to make him go away. Not a great experience honestly. I recognize it was a Friday night and he wanted to turn the table to get more tips, but I probably won't be back.

The Farmers family of restaurants never dissapoints and the Tysons location is the cream of the crop. I had the turkey with stuffing, mashed potatoes and green beans meal and added a Jefferson donut on the side. It was superb.

Our server was not friendly or attentive during our meal. We placed our order and when our food came out half was incorrect leaving people without food because it took another 10-15 minutes for their orders to come out. We weren’t asked if we wanted any boxes to take food to go out plates were just taken unless someone specifically asked him to leave it because they wanted the rest to go. We had to wait another 10 minutes to get our boxes because our waiter disappeared. Overall the experience was awful the server just had an attitude the entire time. I’ve been to this location a few times with friends and never experienced this type of service.

The stars did not align for my date with my husband on a Tuesday night. Restaurant and bar were extremely crowded and we waitied almost 30 minutes past our reservation time to be seated. No place inside to wait unless you want to be elbow to elbow. No possibility of getting a drink (bar was very crowded--no place to order) The mangement was very kind and offered us a free app for the inconvenience. The food was delicious and the service was fine for how busy it was. We had the fried green tomatoes, steak and enchiladas and steak frites. Meat was prepared as requested. This is not the place to go if you want to have any conversation that is not yelling. The noise level is through the roof. Parking was also a problem. Although our tickets were validated at the same time, my husband had to pay $12 dollars to get out and I did not (we had driven separately). I wouldn't had mentioned this except for the same thing happened to me from a previous visit. Evening was not what we had expected. More of a happy hour, loud group kind of place than a "date" place. Oh, and if you drive a Ferrari, the valet lets you park it out front instead of with the plebs in the garage...

Generally an overall good experience and good food. Chicken wing appetizer was pretty good.

There's inconsistency with how food is cooked. Two servings of the Stuffed Pork Tenderloin were ordered. The waiter did not ask how they would prefer it cooked. One came out with a pink center and the other came out overdone. Despite the waiter recommending that the Impossible Burger could be cooked at medium for best taste, he did not ask me how I wanted mine cooked, and the other was ordered medium per his recommendation. Both of them came out well done and very dry.

We eat here about once every three months. Love the food and usually have great service. However the last time we had really bad service. Our waiter acted like he didn’t want to deal with us. My husband was mid sentence ordering appetizers when he just walked away! Didn’t take our meal order until 15 after we had finished our appetizer and he cleared the table. My husband had to ask him if he was going to take it. At the end he had someone else bring our check.

I’ve been to this particular location many times and have always had a positive experience. I’m not sure what happened this evening. Our waitress, stayed long enough to take our order and never came back. We had to keep grabbing another server to ask if they could get her and send her to our table for the multitude of issues we had. It all started with lemonade that was so sweet, it was like syrup. We had to add the table water to our glasses bc it was just that bad. We didn’t complain. Then I received my order of beer chicken. I’ve had this dish before and it’s always been fall off the bone and well seasoned. This time it was completely crispy and over cooked. The chicken was rubbery. But I didn’t send it back for that, I sent it back for the spinach that tasted like someone added one full cup of salt. By the time my plate came back, the chicken was worse and the vegetables were mushy. It was inedible. The manager was called and she comp’d me for the meal and added she would give my daughter a complimentary dessert. We ordered the dessert and an espresso. After a ridiculous amount of time, the espresso came out stone cold. At that point we just wanted to leave. All of our meals were wrong, mine was the worst. We asked for the check and found the manager charged us for the dessert. When we complained about our experience to someone at the front check in desk, he said that he’d heard complaints regarding the meal I ordered. I left hungry and annoyed.

Let’s hope this doesn’t happen again. This was a complete and utter fail on all accounts.

This is the second time I am getting a bad service. I specifically told them we were celebrating our daughters' birthdays. We got a very low-energy waitress that mumbled a "happy birthday". I always order the same salad there and the past few times it has been very inconsistent. The Fried chicken salad last time and this was nothing but lettuce and chicken. Last time the waiter said that salad does not come with cheese and this time, the waitress did not know but made an effort to bring some romano on the side.

We made a 2:15 reservation for Sunday brunch, and we're seated about 2:00. At 2:10 a waitress took our drink order. When I expressed that I wanted the brunch buffet, she told me that they started removing the food at 2:45, so I might not want it. Being as that was why we came, I ordered anyway and my friend (a vegan) ordered a salad.

Firstly, if you advertise serving brunch until 3:00, that means food is plentiful until 3:00. I had plenty to eat, but by 2:40, options were very limited.
Secondly, my friend ordered her SALAD at the same I ordered the buffet.
At 2:35, a full half an hour after ordering our cocktails and her salad, neither had arrived. Flagging down the waitress, we asked her about both. It took getting angry for her to agree to go check, she didn't really want to. Drinks arrived via another server 5 minutes later, and when I returned from my SECOND trip to the picked over buffet, her salad had arrived, a full 45 minutes after ordering it. Ridiculous.

The waitress grudgingly offered me coffee, since "It is included in the price" halfway into my meal: which was good as our drinks had not, at that time, appeared. She stopped by the table once after the salad arrived, asked how everything was, and was gone before we could ask for anything. She never asked if we wanted a 2nd cocktail. She never asked if we were celebrating, we were celebrating my birthday.

Food was ok. Nothing to have for or against except the biscuits which could have been used as hockey pucks.

Nevertheless, a very underwhelming experience, and one that will not be repeated.

This is our go-to brunch location. Went this time to brunch to celebrate a birthday in the family. As usual, found the food to be very good. But as is often the case, many items on the buffet run out on the buffet. Kind of a need thing at this buffet; members of the wait-staff walk around the restaurant providing samples of certain dishes to seated diners. Although we saw half a dozen servers doing so in the main dining area, none got to the back dining room where we sat.
