   The food was fine. Service has gone downhill a bit. But what got us is a ridiculous surcharge. Come on! Be honest and price your menu items correctly and stop hiding stupid charges. No better way to ruin an otherwise OK meal.

   My wife and I have dined at Founding Farmers in Tyson's corner a handful of times. This was our first venture out to the Reston location, and overall it was a pleasant experience. The ambiance at this location was on par with Founding Farmer's theme of being down to earth. The restaurant was full of dark and rich earthy colors. Our server was extremely kind and warmhearted. We had a slight issue where we told the server my wife was dairy intolerant, and then the server was unaware that the deviled eggs (combo) had parmesan cheese on them. Luckily, my wife only ate one and quickly chewed up a dairy tolerance tablet, and we were good to go for the rest of the night. Both the server and the manager (which we did not call, came by on his own accord) were extremely apologetic towards the situation. Genuine kindness and care went into the rest of our meal to ensure our experience was great. Despite the slip-up, the service was still great, and I would dine here again for the service and attentiveness of the staff. The food is *always* the highlight of the meal at Founding Farmers, and the Reston location did not disappoint. Fresh, cooked well, and plated with intention, our meals were fantastic. I highly recommend their Mid-Atlantic Seared Scallops!

   This was our first visit to the Reston location. Went because we wanted outdoor seating. Was sat at the only table without an umbrella or shade. When we initially asked to be moved, the guy seating us said he couldn’t. So went back inside to request another table and was accommodated. Our server Emily was wonderful. The food was okay and not the usual quality we’ve had at previous experiences at Founding Farmers brunch. Not certain I would go back to that location for brunch again. But glad I took the opportunity to see the new location. It’s great that it’s right off the subway station. Just not the experience I’d hoped for.

   Server was great! She was very kind and payed attention to strict food allergies. The appetizers we ordered didn’t come to our table until after we had finished our meal and we’re about to get desserts. When ordering desserts, the shot for the icecream/espresso dessert didn’t come out until 10-15 mins after the dessert was finished and we were about to get our check. The niceness of the staff makes up for the food mishaps! Great overall and will be returning. We understand that places are understaffed and mistakes can happen.

   Really cool vibe and great location from the metro. Really extensive menu with a lot of great options. Was really disappointed however when we got our drinks 15-20 minutes after we ordered. And our appetizer that we ordered before ordering the drinks came out after our dinner arrived, regardless of us asking two different servers to check in on the appetizer for us. The tables around us were all getting their food before us, and it felt like our server hardly came around. Additionally I got the Crazy Corn Salad, which came with very little corn (despite the name) and what was described as a “simple vinaigrette” tasted of oily franks red hot sauce dowsed all over- no where on the menu did it say it was spicy. Lastly, the server that was training and shadowing our server was more attentive and helpful than our server himself. Very disappointed as I’ve heard great things about the restaurant, but don’t want to risk going again to receive such poor service.

    We went for Sunday brunch after church. The place was busy but not full capacity. Our server was nice an pleasant although for a brunch there is not much contact besides drinks and cleaning the table. The food was not good. Everything was cold and flavorless, even the spicy chicken was extended bland and it was not misplaced because I tried both. The Mac and cheese was extremely watery and no seasoning whatsoever. In reality the only 2 items worth anything were the mashed potatoes and the hash browns. Even the items that were coming in “fresh” were cold. It was a huge disappointment

    The service was outstanding !! The food compared to your Tysons Corner location was subpar ( chicken full of grease and coating slid off meat. ). The shrimp my wife had was very good. Best part of my dinning experience was the friendly and attentive server.

    Seated at perhaps the worst table available (in a 50% full restaurant). Suggested to the wait professional that a better table might be more appropriate (instead of moving our table and chairs so we could actually get in to our seats next to the table of six) and that suggestion was ignored, despite at least 8 empty booths, none of which were seated while we were there. The food was fine, the service not worth going back for.

    Best brunch yet at this location. Good was plentiful and tasty. Really enjoyed the pickle potato salad! Our server Jonathan was outstanding. Best server we have had since before covid. Kudos to the chefs and staff. We'll be back again soon.

    Like many restaurants, Founding Farmers is understaffed but we were not in any hurry. The staff took good care of us and our evening with our friends was phenomenal. Our purpose of sharing a good meal with good friends was accomplished.

    I mistakenly thought the brunch was offered on Saturday. However, my party and I decided to stay anyway. Unfortunately, breakfast was a bit “meh” especially for the price we paid. Scrambled eggs were hard and dry, the grits were lumpy and had corn in them. Vegan options were limited. The avocado toast wasn’t particularly special after I ordered it without eggs. We all devoured the French fries though.

    Food was often sparse with more people on a crowded Sunday brunch or food cold with the less appealing items. Service was adequate but always had to ask for simple condiments such as ketchup, hot sauce, and even cream for the coffee. Never got refills for water as asked. Lack of smiles at the welcome counter as well as from waitress. Overall would not recommend paying for the cost.

    We went to celebrate a birthday with a party of 10. John, our server was great,. Ut the food was sub par in taste, was 2hr delayed and came out luke warm for most guests in party. Will stick with DC and Tysons.

    Our server was great and very accommodating. However, the actual meals took quite a long time to arrive. Half our party of seven ordered chicken and waffles. The chicken was fine, but they had to saw through the waffles as they were cooked to cracker consistency. Needless to say, most of the waffles were not eaten. Poached eggs were okay, but the hollandaise was desperate for lemon juice. It was really disappointing food wise.

    Our server Alba was wonderfully pleasant, knowledgeable and attentive. The food was quite good. I was looking forward to blueberry pie for dessert, as it was "blueberry week," but they were sold out of the pie. I ordered blueberry cheesecake which was delicious. There was a live band playing several hundred feet away which would have been a problem had we been seated closer. They were super loud. This restaurant charges a 5% covid restaurant recovery fee. That is a bit hard to swallow, as my own salary has not risen 5% in the past couple of year and we're all dealing with major inflation.

    This is our first brunch at Founding Farmers; previously, we only have enjoyed dinner there. The brunch was exceptional. Fabulous and varied food offerings, a nice and relaxed setting. It was a lovely way to celebrate my husband's birthday.

    This visit to Founding Farmers-Reston for Sunday Brunch was very disappointing. The selection was good; however, the food was all cold. I understand if you go to a buffet at the very end to expect some of the food may have been sitting, but we arrived at 11:30, right in the middle of the brunch period. The carving station meats were good and the desserts were fine; however all the "hot" foods weren't even warm. The meatloaf and pasta would have been good, but the temperature made them unappetizing. The French Toast at the "French Toast Station" was like small, hard bricks. The cinnamon buns were very good, but the tray was usually empty and there was a crowd waiting. Our server was friendly, kept our drinks full, and plates removed. However, we were looking forward to a nice brunch experience and everyone in our party of 4 was very unhappy with the experience.

    We came with big appetites so order a lot of food. Had the deviled eggs, crab dip, bacon wrapped blue cheese stuffed dates, and the apple brie with jam starters. The dates were overwhelmed by the sweet balsamic sauce, couldn’t taste the blue cheese - didn’t prevent the guys from eating them. The crab dip was so good we ordered another one to take home! Deviled eggs were deviled eggs, and the apple brie bread slices were so-so. For dinner we had the 8 ounce hot dog, and two pasta dishes. The homemade pasta (bucatini) was very good - my Caico de Pepe sauce was a bit bland, runny and the added shrimp was skimpy at 4. The vodka pesto sauce was better. Bread pudding was a stand out dessert!
