I understand that there are COVID precautions while dining out, however there was little attention from our server - no milk, sugar or spoon with the tea, no salt and pepper with the meal, no checking drink refills, etc - and no prompting for those things. It was a bit tedious to have to flag someone down each time. And the restaurant was at about 10% capacity. The manager was more attentive than our server. Not a typical FF visit.
Server at the first bake cafe was lovely and patient, however.
Everything was great
Ruth was amazing. She was personable, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the menu. She made sure my family and I had an excellent experience. All of the staff have a great energy about them.
First time visiting this location and it is my favorite!! Service was stellar as was brunch. Enjoyed $1 mimosas 😊

My husband and I frequent the Founding Farmers in Reston and our time there recently was exceptional. Our server Alba was so friendly and helpful. She recommend a cocktail, I believe it’s The Constitution and it was delicious. My husband got the cedar plank salmon and I got the southern fried chicken with mashed poteries and green beans. It was all so delicious!! We finished our meal with donuts that were made just right.
We sat outside with heaters and it was perfection. A perfect date. Would highly recommend!!!
Excellent food and service
The food was so good and the waitress was very sweet! The only thing we had an issue with was that she didn't notify us when the dollar mimosas were over. Just would have been nice to know since they jump from $1 to $10. Everything else was great. Will definitely be back!
Waiter was very pleasant and courteous. Crab Cakes and Scallops were cooked perfect and chocolate fudge sundae dessert was not too much - but just right.

Nick was a great server. There was an issue with the chicken, but they addressed it with a smile and professionalism. I was celebrating a birthday with a friend, she had a wonderful time. Keep up the great work
The salmon was undercooked, although I did not send it back nor mention it at the time.
The server and service was great. He was attentive and timely.
The fig bread is omething other dinenr should consider ordering.
I offered the share the apple pie with my dining companion, next time I will order my own. I was delicous! Keep up the good work.

I’ve been to 4 different Farmers and have always had excellent food—until Reston! I couldn’t believe it! I ordered the Farmers Platter—specifically for the brisket which was sooo dry and tough, I had to leave it on the plate. The fried chicken was just ok but the side of greens were horrendous which no amount of salt and pepper could help. My friend ordered chicken and waffles; no syrup and when asked it came out cold. I know this is not consistent with Farmers...I hope it gets better but I won’t be returning to this particular location.

First time back since start of quarantine. They do a great job ensuring safe distancing among tables. We’ll definitely go back.

We ate outside. Right now, there is a lot of construction so it was loud. We had one server that came by and brought water. We were not ready to order as we were waiting for a friend. That friend came, waiter came over again. We asked him to come back in a couple of minutes as she just sat down. We waited 10 minutes and he did not come back. We called over another waiter who took our order. Later, it took another 10 minutes to find someone to pay the check.

Food came out cold twice after almost 45 minutes. Worst meal I’ve ever had there.
We loved the place food was great service was good too but we asked our waiter for bread and butter 4 times and never got a slice we finally gave up.
But we will go back for sure.

We love going to Founding Farmers for dinner during the week and decided to try it out for Sunday brunch. The food selection was overall pretty good when we first got there, however by the time we went through the second time most things were gone. Our waiter forgot to get us clean plates which wasn’t a big deal except it took a long time to flag him down and an even longer time for him to actually bring the plates. Overall it was a sad experience because we have loved going to founding farmers in the past.

First time at the Reston location. Didn’t realize Sunday brunch was still being done as a buffet during Covid. IMO it was too crowded in the buffet room itself, no possible way to keep distanced from anyone at all. And same entrance as exit had people bottle necking in opposite directions. The buffet servers were all very nice and helpful but between masks, barriers, and general noise level it was impossible to hear what they were saying. It would have been very very helpful for each item to have a card with what dish was and what it generally contained. One of our party ordered a decaf coffee at the beginning of the meal. Came quickly with a large cup of coffee and an extra pitcher of coffee on a wood plank. Nice presentation if superfluous. I ordered a decaf at the end of the meal. It took at least twenty minutes to arrive via another server and I was handed two cups of coffee at once with no explanation. I guess one to drink and one to get cold? I really don’t care about the presentation it was just odd that the same thing was served two totally different ways in one meal. Our server later told us decaf “takes awhile”. But the person who served it said it was “pour over coffee”, which takes the same amount of time as caffeinated. It was just strange. Not end of world but had I been told it would take twenty minutes I wouldn’t have ordered as we had somewhere to be afterwards.
We will go back when it is menu service as the food itself was good- high quality and tasty. Some of the things on the buffet weren’t as hot as I prefer but that is just a buffet thing so, hopefully, solved by ordering off menu. The desserts were a bit of a let down. Looked amazing, not worth the calories :(

Great foods and services, definitely will come back again
My best friend and I went for brunch and it was FANTASTIC! Rachel was our server and she was EXCELLENT! The food was so good that we can back a few hours later and ordered lunch and dinner to go — which was also FANTASTIC! This is now our go to spot for getting together and dining. The interior decor was beautiful and the booths with wide armchairs made it feel really cozy.
We were seated promptly at the time we'd reserved. We waited for 15 minutes and no server ever came to our table or otherwise acknowledged our presence. We left without ordering.

It’s Founding Farmers: the food is outstanding, and the rest usually follows suit. On this occasion, our waiter, Ryan, was personable and—what stood out most—honest. He didn’t simply agree with us or tell us that everything on the menu was good. He shared his familiarity with the wine list, and he answered our questions with honest opinions and feedback, which defined our experience. Thank you, Ryan. Your trainee is learning a good example.

I love Founding Farmers. I've visited this restaurant may times and twice since Covid. On this night we sat inside where social distancing measures were in place. The service was great, the food was excellent, and the overall experience was just enjoyable. Whether you are eating from the menu or enjoying their fabulous brunch, Founding Farmers has consistently proved to be an excellent restaurant in which to dine.
We been there several times and food is pretty good and service is spot on but for this occasion I an email for The Election Day HH. It sounded fun & interesting great... portions were small and pricey for what you normally order for appetizers. Drinks were good and price was fine... service was sub-par. Not sure if we would go back again anytime soon. I give it overall 2 stars.
We went last night for happy hour and had great munchies and cocktails. The service was great and everything was very safe feeling. Masks, and space. I enjoyed our time there, I’m sorry I never made it to happy hour during nicer weather so we could sit outside. We will be back!
The chocolate milk was the best and I appreciate that it was after breakfast and was still able to get pancakes

Everything was great. The staff was kind and very accommodating. Parking might be a challenge if you’re not used to the area. My date’s meal was “really good” but it was mostly green beans. I thought it was a little pricey given the amount of meat, but that’s really not much of anything to even worry about. I got the chicken enchiladas and they were superb.
I had the filet and baked potato. The filet was cooked perfect and no fat on it. The green beans are amazing. Service was perfect. I have nothing negative to say about food or service. It was difficult to figure out where to park signs were confusing.
Unfortunately we were unable to order a la carte items which annoyed me, but everything else was great.
From our service to the food, our experience was outstanding. My family and i wanted for nothing. As always, I'm a happy customer
teh eggs are amazing, the hash browns are beyond amazing and lets not talk about the fried chicken, salmon and meatloaf. I leave Founding Farmers so incredable full that I almost need a stretcher to carry me out! I love this place!!!!
