   I’ve always enjoyed Founding Farmers in the past, but my recent visit to the Reston location for their brunch buffet was really disappointing. I arrived at a decent time, yet most of the food was cold and didn’t taste fresh at all. Several buffet items were missing entirely without any explanation — including one of my favorite desserts, the chocolate cake, which never made an appearance the entire time I was there. The dips were cold and served without any bread, which made them pretty pointless. Overall, the food selection was lacking, and what was available just didn’t feel like it was prepared with care or kept at proper serving temperatures. I expected a much higher standard from Founding Farmers, especially for a brunch buffet. Unfortunately, this experience fell far short. I hope this was just an off day, but it’s definitely made me reconsider returning for brunch.

   Our server Lindsay really set this restaurant apart for us. You can find great food all over Northern Virginia but exceptional service like hers? A rare and delightful experience!

    Service was slow and rather chaotic. The server had to be asked several times about the beverages. The food was very good as always.
