MoCo's Founding Farmers is owned by the more than 40,000 family farmers of the NDFU, serving American inspired real food and drink with an emphasis and focus on cooking from scratch.
While our restaurant is supplied by hundreds of family farms everywhere, that doesn’t mean we know every farm, and that doesn’t mean we never have to buy product from the traditional (corporate) supply chain, but it does mean we’re working hard to direct our purchasing dollars where it aligns with our values.
We’re serving the best food we can, made from scratch in our kitchens every day. Our innovative, American dishes are made primarily with pure ingredients honoring the farmers and their hard-earned bounty.
The restaurant is upscale casual, which welcomes business casual dress, and dress that would be appropriate in a nice restaurant; this includes jeans and athletic wear, and warm-weather clothing, including shorts.

The bar at Founding Farmers is a truly unique and innovative experience, with true mixologists specially trained in 'bar-chefing'. The bar menu harkens back to the pre-Prohibition era with handcrafted cocktails that use juices and mixers prepared by hand as well as Fountain Sodas and Phosphates, prepared to order.
Guests visiting MoCo's Founding Farmers enjoy 2 free hours of parking Monday-Friday, and 3 hours of free parking on Saturday and Sunday in the parking lot / deck located immediately adjacent to the restaurant.

MoCo's Founding Farmers includes a second floor mezzanine level that is ideal for special gatherings, business meeting, parties or corporate events any time of day, for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The mezzanine can accommodate up to 75 guests comfortably seated for dinner, or up to 100 guests for a standing reception. The full restaurant is also available for buyouts.

We had a 7:30pm reservation. We were one of two 7:30pm reservations that were not seated until after 8:00pm.
My wife informed the server that she has a nut intolerance (triggers migraines) and requested her dish without nuts. When the dish arrived, there were nuts in a side dish. She removed the side dish from her plate. However, she found a nut in her dish and it led to a migraine.
In our last three visits to FF and/or its sister restaurants, we have had extremely disappointing experiences.
Made reservations days ahead, arrived on a Saturday night, had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated when I arrived. Overall, the food and experience was just so so. Ordered the rib-eye steak for both myself and my wife. Both of ours came out overcooked, my steak came out to be close to well-done, and her's came out to be medium-well. I have a high tolerance for incompetence due to the area I live in, however, my wife had to sent her's back for a medium. Then we ordered desert, which took over 20 minutes to arrive, one apple pie and one order of beignets to go. The manager (Jorge) came to apologize for the steak issue and long wait for desert, and offered to take care of desert. We then asked him if the beignets were supposed to look like really dark, overcooked, and he said no, and took it back and offered to make us another one. When we received the check, of course, the desert was not taken care of. At this point, we've been in the restaurant for 2 hours now so we wanted to leave, and decided it is not even worth the time to follow up with the manager on his promise. We give credit for the manager coming over to apologize to us, but overall, the service was really slow and pedistrian, and obviously had issues with the food as well. I will think hard about coming back again....
Love this place but this visit was not the best experience. Early dinner and restaurant was empty. Hostess sat us on top of another couple when there were at least another dozen options. Ordered 2 apps, before we even started to eat them our entrees arrived. When we said something the waiter responded that it happens when the restaurant is slow. No excuse... part of the waiters job is to time the meal properly
We have dined here a few times. The menu is varied and the food is very tasty. We took our daughter her to celebrate her promotion and it provided a great evening. I was disappointed that they did not have a Merlot on the wine list and were out of Cabernet. Wait staff were friendly but average.
Parking was easy and free. We were seated within 5 minutes of our reserved time. Table service was efficient, knowledgable and polite. Tea was served promptly and the meals--spatchcocked half chicken--were excellent, with tasty potatoes and gently cooked green beans. Vegetable substitutions were accepted. The place is noisy, though. Conversing was uncomfortable. Only that would prevent me from returning, and it may.
Was very disappointed in the brunch experience this time around. Was told by the waiter that Beignets were not available Because of “a problem with the batter”. We did not object but that’s a pretty strange excuse for not having one of the menu’s most popular items available for brunch.
Second, we ordered pancakes for our six-year-old because there is no children’s portion apparently available. Our waiter should have counseled us to reconsider the order, given the portion size. In fact, we had two people in our party order the same pancakes, including our six-year-old, and there was a lot of food left over. He did not say anything, however, and we ended up leaving with 2/3 of the pancake order. Your staff needs to do a better job, given your relative portion sizes, of proactively counseling patrons about their order size, rather than remaining silent. It was very annoying (and costly) and resulted in a disappointing experience.
As usual good food and friendly service but very disorganized and poorly coordinated delivery of food to table. It happens every time I have been at this or other founding farmers establishments. They need to fix this — very puzzled no they can never get it right.
Wonderful food and cocktails served by friendly staff. We went during restaurant week and their three course meal selection was perfect for a couples night out with friends. My only complaint was that they ran out of their desserts. Overall great experience.
Overall we very much enjoyed ourselves. The menu selection is quite creative and utilizes fresh ingredients, many of which are local. We had a tough time deciding what to order. Everyone should have that problem! My husband had the steak (which he said was tender and cooked to perfection) and enchiladas which came with an avocado salad on top and an ear of corn with mayo and paprika on top of it. I ordered the Farmer Salad with fresh, sliced dates and avocados, mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, grapes, Romano cheese slivered almonds, and olives. I also had the special soup of the day which was clam chowder. The soup was tasty, but was too thick and, quite frankly, I wasn’t offered a splash of sherry. For dessert we split the warm fruit crisp which was a combination of fresh cranberries and cut-up pears with a cinnamon flavored crisp and homemade vanilla bean ice cream on top! Yummy!
The service was incredible except for an unexplained, prolonged delay prior to our dessert delivery to the table.
With the exceptions of the noise level, which I couldn’t help but notice on a prior visit, and my requesting seating away from the kitchen on our Open Table reservation and, yes we were seated near the kitchen initially but we requested a table change, we were very pleased.
Founding Farmers never fails to impress. The food is of course consistently fresh and delicious. The wait staff are attentive but not invasive. The ambiance inviting and not at all pretentious. We are always left with a feeling of contentment and satisfaction having eaten at Founding Farmers.
My wife and I came here because of our desire to support locally sourced restaurants, but we were exceptionally delighted with the food, the service and the price we paid. The menu is extensive and so we will be returning to try more dishes. I strongly recommend.
Our second visit to this restaurant for a family celebration. We were seated ten minutes before our reservation time and the wait staff was very attentive while we waited for all of our party to arrive. The service and food was excellent. Can’t wait for our next family celebration to return.
This restaurant really produced and was even better than expected. Service was excellent and the food was really done well. Every dish from fish, beef, to pasta was wonderful. We had a large group and everyone enjoyed the meal. Portions are large especially on dessert and appetizers so it's easy to share.
I had a reservation for 6 to celebrate my birthday, we were seated promptly upstairs with very minimal wait. The server acknowledged me as the birthday girl from the beginning and was great, very attentive. The food was enjoyed by all; I did have to send my order back as it was incorrect, however it was fixed pretty quickly. The odd part came during the time when they bought me out an empty small plate with a single birthday candle on it; no desert or anything on the plate, just an empty plate with a candle. It definitely put an odd damper on a nice event; it was very odd.
We went for my husband's birthday to try their new vegan burger. The service was great. We asked our waiter about wine options and he was very knowledgeable, and brought us samples of the two wines we were interested in. My son, who is ten, was with us, and he also enjoyed the meal.
Lots of interesting and unique items on the dinner and drink menus. Service was very friendly and helpful without being overbearing, exactly as it should be. The good food and service ensured a most pleasurable evening out for dinner. Would definitely recommend to friends and visit again.
Founding Farmers on New Year's Day was jam packed, every table full! We were seated on time for our reservation and given unbelievable attention. Our food was stellar and came out quickly. The wait staff made us comfortable and feel important the entire visit. When we left it was even busier! No stress it was a wonderful visit even with the crowds. We will be going back very soon. Thanks for taking care of us
