MoCo's Founding Farmers is owned by the more than 40,000 family farmers of the NDFU, serving American inspired real food and drink with an emphasis and focus on cooking from scratch.

While our restaurant is supplied by hundreds of family farms everywhere, that doesn’t mean we know every farm, and that doesn’t mean we never have to buy product from the traditional (corporate) supply chain, but it does mean we’re working hard to direct our purchasing dollars where it aligns with our values.
We’re serving the best food we can, made from scratch in our kitchens every day. Our innovative, American dishes are made primarily with pure ingredients honoring the farmers and their hard-earned bounty.

The restaurant is upscale casual, which welcomes business casual dress, and dress that would be appropriate in a nice restaurant; this includes jeans and athletic wear, and warm-weather clothing, including shorts.

We were at the restaurant on a Sunday evening before a Monday holiday and many others had the same idea !
We were seated within 5 minutes of our open table reservation time. Our server was very pleasant but clearly overworked.
We had a delay for drinks to arrive and again for dessert to be served. The main course was served perfectly hot and all four plates arrived at the same time.

We were seated in view of the TVs at the bar so the wait was not unpleasant. The food was tasty and we will be back!

Fun spot with good energy. Servers very friendly. Better organization during the reservation checking process as seems a bit crazed. Only draw back is the menu specials go quickly.

Very noisy. Very crowded. Food poorly timed coming out of kitchen. Food quality generally good but some inconsistency.

Although the food was good, the restaurant was way too crowded. Frankly, I'm surprised the fire commissioner lets that many people inside. The tables were so close, and the wait staff so inconsiderate, that on more than 20 occasions a server's rear end was less than a foot away from our food and faces as they waited on tables to our right and left. It was disgusting trying to eat with a big-bottomed staff member's rear end so close to our food and faces. We'll never go back.

Really good food with a very nice selection. The service was really less than optimum. It took forever to place our order; the food came out at different times. The wait staff just seemed to be very overwhelmed.

This was my second visit to this location in as many days! The first visit was on Saturday (2/17/18) with my wife and a friend visiting from North Carolina for the weekend. We were going to see the new Black Panther movie on 11:30 am on Sunday (2/18/18) with the same NC friend, as well as other friends that live in the DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia) area. There was a total of 7 of us.

We originally had a reservation at Del Monico's for lunch following the movie. However, our friend from NC asked me to cancel that reservation because she wanted us all to go back to Founding Farmers! I canceled the other reservation and subsequently reserved a table for 7. On our prior visit on Saturday, our waitress, Lisa, was EXCELLENT! So much so, that we specifically asked for her on our Sunday visit. We were told that they wouldn't be able to accommodate us, since Lisa was working in another section of the restaurant. Kim, the manager, saw us, and recognized us from the previous day. She understood that we wanted Lisa, and she made sure that we got her! AWESOME customer service. Lisa went above and beyond to make both of our visits enjoyable. We couldn't have been happier with the service we received. We will definitely recommend this restaurant (and OUR waitress, Lisa) to our family and friends!

Thanks for listening!

We had a great experience. The staff was so gracious. (We had been stuck in horrible traffic and we were late for our reservation.) The food was very good. It’s a little pricey for casual dining which is why we don’t take our big crew here more often.

Awesome brunch! Can't go wrong with the chicken and waffles. A little crowded, but as long as you make a reservation, you should be fine.

Quality and flavor or food does not match up to the price you're paying. Always crowded and tables are set way too close together. meh.

This was my first time at my girlfriends favorite restaurant. The greens were awful, they lacked seasoning. The fried chicken was excellent. The service was ok. Mary was a bit slow in responding, but she was polite. We will be back again because my baby loves it here and the food was ok.

I personally find Founding Farmers to be a bit over-hyped. The food is good, but I personally am not wowed by breakfast food. This is some place I go when I meet with people (for business) in the morning. Other than that, this is not a place I frequent.

Food is consistently good. Even if you cannot flag your server, anyone can help. You may not be seated at your reservation time as hey do fall behind schedule quite often. $ 17 for two pieces of chicken greens and mashed potato is expensive. Prices are steep...

Went out for Sunday brunch with a few friends. Made it through the meal and everything was okay. The part that I had the issue with was that night i get an email from my bank saying that there was an overdraft fee charged. I looked into my account and saw that founding farmers did not charge me the $72.10 like they were supposed to. They ended up charging me $180!!! I go in the next day and told me to wait until Wednesday to see if the charges would fall off and refused to pay the overdraft fee that they caused! If they would have charged me the proper amount that would not have happened. Now because of their mistake I not only have $180 of my money tied up for four days but I’m also getting charged an additional $40 because of it! Very poor customer service. The food wasn’t even that good I could have went out and bought good steak for that kind of money. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Drove all the way out there for beignets on my birthday. Ordered. Waited. Watched others who ordered after us receive beignets. Waited some more. Server finally comes to say beignets are running behind and it will be 30 minutes, would we like to have them after our meal. The meal suddenly appeared. We cancelled beignets. Frankly, the right choice from a health standpoint. But sad birthday with no beignets. Food was good as it usually is. But no breakfast beignets. #Sad

A group of my high school friends from out of town got together just to reconnect. The group included meat lovers and vegetarians. Founding Farmers did not disappoint. The group was delighted from the beginning to the very end - from appetizers to desserts. My friends were wowed by the ambiance , the food, the service and the tasty selections. I am so glad I choose a dependable, favorite spot. You did not disappoint me Founding Farmers. We enjoyed every morsel.

Our server was very knowledgeable about the farm to table concept. He shared this with my guests and they were intrigued. He was patient and responsive. It was a great evening.
