The food was mediocre. I ordered an eggs Benedict and the egg was way over cooked. The Bearnaise sauce was tasteless. I was dissatisfied with the food especially for the price.
We were a large party and the waiter was obviously not concerned about earning more than his tip that would already be calculated into the bill.
I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. It is a little noisy, however I went at a popular time, so it’s to be expected. The food is outstanding - all of it. Breakfast,lunch, and dinner, they know how to do it all.
Great food and outstanding service by all, but especially our waitress Audra was exceptional! Thank you!!!
Our service was extremely slow and our order had multiple errors.
Over Medium eggs were delivered over easy (yuck) and the waitress didn’t come back to check if our meal was ok until the other two people at the table were done, so I wasn’t going to send them back at that point. Aside from that, it was alright. Great grits!
The winter stew offerings looked great! I ordered the beef burgoo ... it was delicious and came with a small side salad.
We will keep coming back here! I have some dietary restrictions and the wait staff was more than happy to ask and to accommodate. I have been to other restaurants who were annoyed that I have asked for ingredients due to a gluten intolerance. Not only is the food delicious, but I feel safe and comfortable asking questions.
I was entertaining a group of 5 mostly picky eaters. I thought brunch/lunch would be a challenge, but their menu had a variety of options to please my picky crowd. 😊 And, everything was great. I strongly recommend the corn bread, especially if you like corn kernels in your corn bread.

The Reservation was for Sunday, January 19, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. “Restaurant Week ended at 12:00 A.M.”, according to our waitress. She further added that she had checked earlier for another party. I was the host and my invitees wanted to stay (why). I honored their request to stay. I paid the bill in cash, and tipped the undeserved 20 percent. This was my third dining experience during the January 2020, Bethesda Magazine Restaurant Week. Earlier dining experiences were better.
Recommendations: In the future, please ensure that a participating restaurant understands the rules to participate in Bethesda Magazine Restaurant Week, including start and end dates.

As for the unavailable reservations during the last day of RW, I am also real sorry for the disappointment this caused. Weekends are too noisy. Requested a booth and there was none unless I waited additional time. Why make a reservation if you have to still wait?!

Breakfast with two grandchildren. Meals were well prepared. Beignets were awesome. Service was good. Regular coffee was great. Decaf coffee was instant. Grits were lumpy and grainy, probably undercooked. They have been great on previous visits.
Absolutely delicious. We came for restaurant week and our server was soo helpful while we were deciding on our orders. Food came out super quick and was cooked perfectly. I had the ribeye and my partner had the her crusted prime rib. Would definitely recommend and we will be going back again very soon.

The ambiance was impacted by the noise level. It was beyond energetic; it was a bit too loud making it difficult to hear ourselves.

Even tho it was very busy their high service and food quality standards were met ... as usual . Impressive operation , really good food and great value for money esp during restaurant week
Best pancakes ever.
Went as a party of 4 before a play at a local theatre. We were seated quickly and the service was very good. The food was good, but not great.
We were seated close to the bar and I will ask for a table farther away next time to get away from the noise generated there by the staff.
We had the best server, Juan. He made the evening fun and provided excellent service! The food was delicious. We will be back!

Came here for restaurant week. The appetizer Bacon w/Maple was tasty, but a little too fatty for my taste. The brisket was a kind of rubbery and tough, I was expecting it to be tender and easy to eat. I had chocolate cake w/strawberry ice for dessert. It was mediocre, it was just a sliver, i wonder if that is a full size or just a restaurant week size.
Portions were huge and the food was amazingly good. It's a bit crowded and noisy but great value for the price. Will gladly go back.
Our waiter is wonderful, professional and very nice.
My kale salad is delicious as always, and cat fish is cooked nicely today, thank you!
My husband’s brisket dish is very tough & chewy so we won’t order that again.
We requested a booth away from the front door in our reservation note, but were seated in the booth which right behind the hostess desk (happen to be the closest booth to the door 🥺🥶😩) while a lot of available booths around.
Always get the best service and is always phenomenal!
Quality of the food was wonderful! Fantastic service that was attentive without being intrusive. I would recommend this restaurant for everyone - carnivores and vegetarians will always find something to love on the menu!!

The only issue is that it is a very noisy restaurant.
Great food all around
The food was good and the service great. Unfortunately we were seated in an area where the tables were close together. As we were the first in the cluster we did not think it was an issue. Shortly after getting our food people were seated an either side of us, limiting our conversation. The acoustics are already bad in the restaurant, so speaking quietly was not really an option. Next time we will ask for a more private seating location.

Service is good, we have very efficient & friendly waitress 👍🏻
However, all meat items (except the fried chicken) came out too ‘charred’ while we did not ordered any food that supposed to be ‘blackened’.
Our waiter, Juan was outstanding and the food, especially the fish and chips and fried chicken was excellent.
They unfortunately forgot my birthday even though I had it down in the comment section in open table. I was excited for my daughter to see the servers sing. She’s 4 and never had that kind of excitement at a restaurant

The rib eye was cooked too rare, good crust - but only on the very edges. Crust should have been on the top and bottom of the steak. Disappointing flavor of the steak otherwise - unseasoned and under cooked. Fatty bites weren't salty. disappointing. The mashed potatoes are delicious, and the appetizers are all delicious and well made. The rib eye is disappointing, but I believe the steak frites would be better. Will have to come again and try one of their signature dishes, perhaps those are more their specialty. Overall, the restaurant is nice and has great choices, just have to find what's really good there.

Food was felt ok but felt rushed through the entire meal.
First time for breakfast, it was very good and had a ton of choices, suggest you get a reservation on a weekend because of the crowds
This was my second experience at Founding Farmers and it was a very good one !
Lovely dinner and waitstaff, but did not like waiting until 635 for our table when our reservation was at 615 and we arrived at 605 and was told ten minutes without updates until we inquired ourselves half an hour later when we were a couple feet from the hostess stand.
Food was great, staff great, Food great. Price on a meatless salad high $17.00? Noise level at 1:00 pm off the charts loud, but later quieted down so overall good experience -
The lunch was mediocre at best. Our server, Paris, was excellent but the other people who brought things to the table or assisted with delivering food seemed upset, angry or unhappy. Several times people brought out drinks or appetizers and just drop it on the table, without asking who it was for or even acknowledging it was the correct table. It felt like they really could care less. Then my friend left her phone at the restaurant and had to get the police involved before anyone fessed up to finding her phone. I will not be visiting this location again.
